This show. This is what I come here for.

After episodes 7 & 8...

When I first read the synopsis, I had strong vibes of Psycho-pass (a really good anime with the same premise - violence (caused by psychopathy) is genetic, and should be dealt with before it manifests. I loved the anime.

So far, based only on episode 1, they don't look that similar... yet.

First episode was kind of cute, the story is interesting, and I admit, I started watching it for Saint, but I'll stick around to find out more of the tale.

Anyone who watched the Korean original, are they doing the same script?

PS the girls' school bathroom ghost was pretty creepy in the end... ewww. I hope the two clueless ghost hunters don't get this much airtime again, it was becoming kind of repetitive...

Also, there's a bit of overacting involved too, particularly on the side of the actor playing the detective with the missing sister. I've seen him before, but here he's just not up to par. I hope - if he keeps being in the story - he improves.

As far as I can tell... the older brother who was attacked in the bus will survive and either be the good cop guy, or the killer. Since LSG is the main lead... I'll take the killer for the other brother, probably.

Or if not, then LSG will twist into the killer and older bro will be the good cop.

I want to be proven not right on both fronts. And please let's not have the killer's child be a daughter presented as the love interest... just... let's not.

The first episode was kind of convoluted. I have no real grasp of what it wants to be, yet. TBH, some parts of the story presented so far seem needlessly complicated, but then, it hasn't really started yet. I'll give the second episode a chance to convince me.

I find it that this drama is right up my pace. Loving the slow development, the time they take with the support cast characters, the music, everything basically. I appreciate that this is not rushing over anything just to make things snap, like some other dramas try to do - and fail to develop naturally. I hope they maintain the rhythm, they're really making every episode count... and it feels so good to go along with it.

I seriously want to give the novel a try. Is there any TL, anywhere?...

LOL @that moment when you're so unimportant in the scheme of grander things that WKX just casually steps over your cadaver just to get close enough to ZZS and flirt with him. Poor dead body!

How did WKX learn ZZS's name? And how come he's so cute when flirting? I like him a lot. And ZZS is vibing him off, LOL. Like that ever worked in a BL story.

We can see you guys. Don't try to fool us!

What do you mean there's going to be only one subbed episode per weekday?! *falls apart in despair*

This has such strong Untamed vibes - like the music, the settings, the freaking Five Sect Alliance palace interior looked almost the same as the Jin palace, the general esthethics of the drama (costumes, hairdos, etc), it's hard not to compare. (EDIT: oh LOL, Music Department - Lin Hai. No wonder the music reminds me of The Untamed. I'm proud of myself for recognizing it.)

But there are hints of other dramas in it - like that peach blossom scene LOL, out of Ever Night and Love and Redemption, and the fighting scenes are definitely better and more up-and-personal.

I applaud the producers and the whole team involved - this is shaping up to be one of the sensations of the year for me.

As long as ZZS doesn't die. Will the Nails be removed sometime in the future? Keeping fingers crossed he doesn't win and die.

The kid is cute as a button too - what's the deal with him, does anyone know? Why wouldn't he eat until prodded? Why would he hide the wound? At first I thought he was actually a girl in disguise, but then he stripped and nah, LOL.

Which reminds me... SO MUCH SKIN O.o

Wow, this is actually quite interesting. I already love that flirty WKX, I'll have to read the novel if they don't sub it faster.

At this point in time, we can only hope. One thing that attracted me to Asian television is the way most dramas are complete in one season, no sequels over sequels until every last fan of the series drops dead from old age (looking at basically all successful Western series).

I don't quite appreciate Netflix changing that.

So many horror tales and not a hint of Arthdal Chronicles season 2 (or 4, whatever they want to number it). This is not so great. *sigh*

I am not really into shonen-type novels (particularly when the MC is overpowered from the beginning, which the first episode of the donghua suggested. That's why I like the drama better, since TS starts really really low. But well, if there's no news of a second season sometime in the future, I just might take a look. Thank you for the links!

What level are TS and XW by now? It's not the number of rings, right?

The bunny did nibble a bit on the grass, but there has to be more.

How did they leave the Soul Hall? What happened to the rest of the team? Where did Hu Lie Na leave for? What's Bi Bi Dong's problem? And did she cause her husband to die because she wanted to catch a Soul Beast (TS's mom)?

Where are the teams that were kidnapped? Why should Xiao Wu leave Tang San alone and where would he go to up his ring level and mastery? Will his father go into hiding again?

Aaaargh so many questions....

This was a steady 8/10 for me throughout the series, but the last episode fight took it to 8.5. I guess they paid their fights choreographer for that final battle only LOL. And I have to admit, Shi Nian's defeat in the previous eps is actually satisfying. I hope TS gets to have YZQ's help in the future as promised. And the Moon Blade 5-ring Soul Master will probably be an antagonist sometime in the future too.

Season 2 when....? T_T

So ripped LOL. What happened to his shyness around Liu Er Long? He got more courageous?... Then again, his meeting with BBD shows that there are some feelings left on both sides.

...And that he and TS are clueless without maps, LOL.

Hot older bro' just came back, why is he allowed to cut off DMB's claws? Is that allowed? So unfair that from 5 teams in the final, two are the imperial ones by default. No wonder nobody goes there much.

I have NO problem (ZERO) with pointing out the differences as long as they're under a spoiler tag. That would make it easier for me - and others - to avoid it, and not have it shoved in my face all the time that - "this isn't HOW it was SUPPOSED to be", "what the drama does is worse than BECAUSE...", "this is OOC" and so on and so forth.

I get it, some fans of the novel and/or the donghua are disappointed, and if I were a fan too, maybe I would've been, too. But I'm not. And so would love to watch the drama as is, without all these inklings of information about what's wrong, different, not like the novel/donghua, etc. ALL. THE. TIME.

That's what spoiler tags are for. Even if people ask about certain details (I did, myself), it doesn't mean everybody else wants to know those specifics. One could start a comment saying they're disappointed and place the reasons for it under a spoiler. And don't get me started on the way some people who are watching advanced VIP episodes are commenting in the open about what goes on in there. Is that the way to respect other people watching it?...

I didn't even ask what episode you're on... Oops. LWJ is a stoic, don't expect extraordinary PDAs from him. But, when they happen, they're outstanding.

Have fun watching the drama - it really is one of the best ones out there :)
