This ep, Tai served great relationship wisdom - as usual - which Wayu promptly ignored - also as usual.
Methinks there was too much "Pete" backstory all at once, nothing against the actor but I was kind of waiting to not see his face any more, given the tropey ex-plot. But "Krit" cried prettily, I'll give him that.
I don't know about the rest of you, but IMHO, while Wayu was definitely the most athletic on that pole, LOL, Sky's show was sexier.
Anyway. Socks! (At least he's not hiccuping, LOL. I was 80% certain there'll be SOME kind of quirk about it :D)
Chief: High risk, high gain! (In English) SeongJae: Yessir, I CAN DO IT (also in English)
hahahaha~
The freaking Dunkirk sausage landing battle!!! The FREAKING SAUSAGE LANDING BATTLE DO YOU HEAR ME!!!! So many victims!! All in the soup!! :D :D :D
The foreshadowing with the cat out of hell in the road before they got to the post, and then DongHyun nonchalantly goes "to cook well, you have to have feeeeeeeelings for the cooking, you can't just throw something together and make something not even the army cat would touch!* - so THAT's where the cat was running from OMG ROFLMAO
I really should've realised it was going to be a wild ride when the VERY FIRST BGM OST is Bridge On the River Kwai theme OMG LOL. And then the chief goes and mentions MacArthur too, just in case nobody caught the reference.
This is going to be amazing, I can already tell. I need to look up the freaking manhwa RIGHT. THIS. MINUTE.
PS Also, where can I get that VR/reborn/transmigrated-with-a-System game, too? 'Cause I really need help with cooking. Like, a lot. And with keeping order in the kitchen. If someone makes that kind of game for the masses, he'd be worth his billions.
Jess Lee / I admit. There are versions of the song throughout the whole drama (I like the BGM versions too). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAguUoGgVYQ&list=PLLaG0k-PXfne-qkHxwh6lHX698kVGcHQ5&index=7
I misread, sorry, for some reason my eyes saw 23 not 33. You mean the song the guqin player is singing on that cliff, then? It might be in the BGM score.
Purpose of copying the book so that they can bring it to central plain and learn the technology in it. They cant…
They re-copied what was burned. Sima RanDeng was an asshole and kind of stupid (because of why the library was functioning as it did - I guess his masters never let him in on the secret, LOL). Maybe he's not a reader :D
Anyway - what I liked best from that part was that the humans (or rather, non-cultivators society) were not too idealistic either. Their actual purpose wasn't (only) some noble elevation of the regular person from ignorance into knowledge, but also kind of very long-term political gains and independence and they were willing to do what was needed to get it, even if it included murder and mayhem.
Why not wrap the ending up nicely and show us how she manages to get him back?
Because that would be a complete another story. He is NOT the same person he was. He CANNOT remember anything from his previous life and anything they went through together. It was made crystal clear that if they get together again, they'll be complete strangers starting over.
I know it's frustrating, but hey, that's dramaland for you.
ep. 35:Dang, I loved A Sheng in the beginning but what she did to Jin Lun was so cruel. But for him to give up…
I thought so too, but grew to understand her POV a bit better after I calmed down. I mean, she IS her father's daughter. She WAS raised with a bone-deep mentality of kill-or-get-killed, she'd justify ANY means to get to whatever goal she wants. She was never much hindered by morality and she also never did love HIM. Her childhood trauma probably twisted everything inside her head and heart, so she just uses and takes from people with no instinctual thought to give something in return.
What's out of the her normal reactions is her complete devotion to Xin Mei and doing everything so XM still likes her. But we'll allow her a flaw, LOL.
Also, LOL @Jin Lun's reaction to losing an arm and then losing his divine sign and then losing his lover and then (he probably kept losing things hahaha~): Oh well, too bad. We'll get'em next time!! :D That man had ZERO survival sense.
Finally had the time to properly sit down and watch the last few eps. Still holds its own. While I get why the romance fans were maybe a bit let down, for me it's a good ending. (I am not really invested in romances anyway LOL).
The pace kept strong from beginning to the end, the characters - particularly LQQ, Rusty and Li MuHan's - progressed greatly, the effects were not bad at all, I even liked some of the villains, the MUSIC was amazing (the OP/ED songs are unskippable. I really wish they release the OST sometime soon). And I want each cdrama from now on to have a sidekick as great as Chu Ying! Petition here, sign up people.
The down side - there are some VERY under-utilised charas for which good actors were picked, I don't know why (I mean, you get Riley Wang, put him as main cast and then don't do basically anything with his character?!)... and that kitty at the end looked stressed out as all get out, so I kept getting stressed too. Chinese dramas production teams, use CGI as for everything else, okay? Don't stress out kitties. Also, all the cameos went over my head, LOL. I mean, okay, LXY is always welcome but I don't think I'll ever watch that sequel drama that came before the prequel LOL, Also I'm not really a fan of ZYC so I am lukewarm toward his big guest part in the final ep oh well.
So in short - great music, nice progress, tropey but written well enough, good characters, that's a wrap.
PS Had a laugh at the tribal guy wanting to teach YingYing horse-riding when she got there riding a horse LOL.
Shoutout to the whole VA cast, they did great and I recognised half their voices :D
No, I won't remove my comments. They were not related to the scenes you say they removed - which goes to prove it's the team's job to do that, and not MDL's.
You, and your "team" on the other hand went overboard, in a "holy war" of your own making. Did you remove the fake 1-star reviews?
Why is A-Sheng doing that to him?! He never did her any harm, he always helped... and now she's breaking his Dao because she needs him for a bit - then she'll probably throw him away again.
She really is like her father.
LOL, Xiao ShunYao's character (Bai disciple) ended up in a deep prison. His characters always seem to do that, LOL, it happened in MLC too, now here, he's cursed hahaha~
Is this the royal "we"? As in, multiple account personality on MDL "we"? Okay then.
In honour of everyone's religious beliefs, I'll just go and read a book of my own choice, as a woman who can choose for herself. There are places in this world where that too would be anathema, according to certain religions. I guess there are some other places where women (if the accounts' assumed genders are to be believed) could also just pick up a book and learn more about the world and tolerating differences. But that's maybe just my hope.
no one know, he totally a different character in the novel
Oh wow! That's like... exactly the opposite, like you said. I guess we'll find out by the end if he does end up a simple human or gets his powers back enough to save CY.
But wow... that's practically everything in reverse. *shaking head*
That was more a love scene than sex scene to me. The fusion between 2 souls, the love making with all their feelings.…
No, actually, I wanted to see less. To me it looked like they tried too hard - and by them I mean the production team or whoever scripted that part. Since this is NOT a sex-scenes-in-the-open kind of story (like the Thai BLs would try to make, for example), nor a Chinese censored BL drama (where you won't see anything much but subtle hints), I kind of expected to see something brave but more hidden, so to speak.
What I mean is that I find the scenes to be a bit repetitive (like the double shower), too well-lighted (there is a secret side and softness in dim light that is totally crushed out with full-on lighting), and too many close-ups of naked skin.
So it's more the technical aspects of the love scene that bother me than the content. But whatever. I guess anything goes anyway.
no one know, he totally a different character in the novel
Have you read the novel? Does LQQ turn human and then regain his powers? Or just turn human and that's it? Someone commented below that Chu Ying regains his human form "when LQQ gets his powers back" - I thought the whole idea was to lose them... but I do want CY back, LOL.
"You" (be that only yourself, or your alt accounts or your friends) posted THREE (at this time) 1-star reviews of a "completed" drama that hasn't finished airing, only talking about being offended by a possible image you think is a religious symbol.
This is hypocritical to the extreme. YOU, an account created 2 days ago and populated with extremely well-known Chinese-only dramas you have rated 10/10 despite some of their content being totally not the Islam-approved kind, the other account that hides its name, created yesterday for the specific purpose of posting a 1-star review and that's all its activity, the account created in 2023 to go to holy war against KtL's "religious" offense - YOU are coming to "teach" us about religion.
I don't care for your comments. I could very well igonore them and block you, if I wanted. What I can't ignore is your malicious campaign of posting 1-star reviews, lying about having completed the drama when obviously you haven't watched one second of it, inventing a reason to be offended by it - I read your comment inviting another user to take a screenshot and ASK AI about how it's religious or not - like, are you freaking serious?!
The commenter above is correct - there IS a paradox of being tolerant to intolerance that's at play here and some people take it too far, making it their whole personality - but it's not my life to live, so you do you.
Though, no offense to religious people of all faiths - if your supreme deities are all-powerful, they don't need your weak and pitiful defenses of their might.
LQQ always had the power to remove her memory block, he gave that power to Chu Ying. But he had also blocked that…
It wasn't in prison, they were already at the temple doing whatever (getting LQQ addicted to bad - and good - food, LOL).
It's around min 37 in ep31, when she was dreaming and having turbid qi gather and he comes to her.
As to the how she knew of the BOND (she already knew about the marriage even before they met again) - he told her before that was the way he mananged to survive the lingchi execution. But she only ACTUALLY remembered when he unlocked her memories.

Pretty human of them, IMHO.
