Ep 54My Goodness, Accomplishment never felt this content! Thank you the greatest drama of my life, Nirvana In…
So now you know :)
(NiF2 is also good, particularly the battle scenes. You might want to take a look. IMHO it's not as good as NiF1, but it's very good in its own power).
"Let's dramatically ride to the nearest most transited road we can find, get naked and shag in a car in broad…
I don't mind the NC at all but I'd really love to see some of the actual plot come back. Also, the second CP isn't really convincing, sorry, though they did have that lava-hot moment last ep.
So Tee's GF is Nour and changed him then eventually killed him 'cause he couldn't control it or something. Now she'll probably be the antagonist for the whole series. And the dilemma of Ken changing James into a Nour or not will be the moral twist of it all. (Though James seems to be at least partly already changed.)
My 2c on the change in colours James can now see is that they exchanged bodily fluids LOL, and so he's "in". I don't get his surprised expression about it unless it means he already knows what a Nour looks like in their aura. IF these two could ever actually communicate, he could have told Ken that Tee's GF is as unreadable to him as Ken. Maybe they would've gotten somewhere sooner without the theatrics.
Unless Nour bodily fluids create addiction and eventual cravings I don't get it why James is so desperate. They never even talked properly a lot, they just kissed and what? Does that take precedent over actual information being exchanged?! He's now ready to drop everything (clothing included) just to stay with Ken?! He doesn't even know where the man lives. Or even if he sleeps at all or something. Or eats. Or has a cat or a dog. Or what colours does he like if any (he's colourblind, right?) Or practically any personal info outside his workplace. Kind of shallow....
OMO, Jang Hyuk back in a historical. And a full 28 one-hours episodes too?! Are we seeing a return to the 2000-2010s' styles of historical dramas, LOL? (Not complaining, I hope they make it great).
Mousetrap may be trending, but the reviews on MDL are lukewarm at most (I mean the reviews, not the rating. Though that one isn't the best either). I'd rather save 10 hours of my life (though I kind of anticipated this one). All I want to know is - does it invite a sequel? 'Cause that's what I'd expect from NF.
This was so surprisingly funny. I was expecting it would be a "war movie", with heroics and stuff, but it's a chaotic mess of people trying to survive in a world gone mad. (A world that had already forgotten about them). It's something a little bit reminding of Sven Hassel's war novels, LOL, with the bad luck or momentary lapses in self-preservation instincts and the extraordinary bouts of fortune. But the little bits of laughter throughout make it just great. Even the "is this town-no it's the other-town" Japanese soldiers' skit was hilarious, LOL.
At least they put the coda in, explaining they survived til after the war.
Yeah, because whatever is said on X is the absolute truth and nobody there ever invented false and defamatory…
I'm not going to go on a you-said-I-said with someone on the 'net, LOL. Don't take it personally, the facts are out there for you to check out, so do it or don't as you please.
Just please don't come repeating slander that was recognised as such since 6 years ago. Even if you're only now learning about it, you didn't come ask a simple question - is it true that this actor did this or that, you basically repeated what you read on X (the "truth" on X is at most an ironic joke) and then lamented you were liking the drama, thus saying you believe that "truth" before doing the least effort to look up the allegations and see if there is any actual proof the actor did or did not do what you read on X that they did. Other than that, I don't really care what you do do not choose to watch.
So I think we can end this convo here, Have a nice day.
PS I can't help myself from giving an unasked-for advice - do take EVERYTHING you read on the internet - particularly on social media - with a MOUNTAIN of salt. Especially salacious or scandalous rumours.
2015 war scenes! sooo raw & soo fine!!!! We can see everything was done manually & this large scale filming…
You have seen NOTHING yet. The best - and I've watched a lot of historical cdramas - war scenes of ANY drama ever are in the second season, NiF2. And there are more than one. Movie-level, I promise you. Worth suffering the more romantic plot in order to watch, LOL.
If you want a not too spoilery look, find the first ep of NiF2 and watch that opening long scene. They knew what they were doing there. Raw and powerful and dangerous and looking like they actually fought to the death. (Yeah, still in awe with Huang XiaoMing in that drama).
I saw rumours on X that Xiao Zhan is allegedly a racist and misogynistic is it true?or its just people trying…
Yeah, because whatever is said on X is the absolute truth and nobody there ever invented false and defamatory things to say about actors, idols or other celebrities. Grow up.
To watch this drama or not is your choice, just don't bring lies and unverified rumours here to tell people they're the "real" truth. There's X for that.
PS If you're serious and unaware of what happened back in 2020, look up "227 incident". A lot of things were said then, NOT by this drama's actors but by their CP or single fans, and most of the hate somehow ended up aimed at Xiao Zhan (who at the time didn't have a powerful agency to back him). Much of it was manifactured, most probably by a powerful media person, whose arrest later on (not because of this, they offended the CCCP somehow) "magically" lifted the pressure off XZ and he could return to the c-ent with no more problems. He has since proved himself again as a public favourite, good actor, picky and careful with his scripts and co-stars. C-netz and particularly fans can and do go rabid a lot of times. Take whatever you get from a Chinese "source'' on this (whether friend or foe) with a huge grain of salt.
This is easily one of the most overrated dramas I have ever seen. I'm genuinely confused by the high score. I'd…
1. Actual plot. Particularly for a xianxia (though it is danmei, when based on famously popular novels they tend to have a good plot). 2. Amazing characters and characters' growth. 3. Good-looking leads and support cast. 4. Extraordinary soundtrack. Also noting the cinematography here, not to make another separate point. I'll admit the VFX could have looked better (then again it was 7 years ago, they did what they could at the time). 5. Actual pacing and not a rush to the finish line. The story doesn't struggle in the second half like most modern dramas tend to.
Should I go on?
Yes, people are entitled to like whatever they like, and there's no accounting for taste. A lot of people liked the drama, just as a lot of people loved the novel. It's as simple as that. You're also allowed not to like it, nobody's gatekeeping cdramas for anyone here :)
PS I see from your list you're only on ep1. If you really want to give it a try, give it at least til eps 15-16 or thereabouts. There will be a lot of plot setting til there that will be later used in the developing story. There are two timelines (1-2, 33-50 the present, 3-33 the past) and you can't skip. The first eps of the "past" are kind of silly and seem unimportant but they establish the characters and the relationships between all of them, one should pay attention to details. The tone changes dramatically after 15-16.
But if you're not into it, then let it go. That's just life.
OK, sorry, seeing Bo're again I am reminded of how funny were those tweets when the drama first aired that were…
That also reminds me of that famous reddit post about the guy who hit his head on a curb or something, "woke up", went back to his life, got married eventually, got kids too, but the one thing he was annoyed with in his life was that side lamp that seemed a bit wrong. So he stared at it day after day whenever it caught his attention and he eventually really woke up to find it was the light in his hospital room - no family, no kids, no career, no life he had been living in his dream.
I don't know what that guy was on, but it's one of the most-known horror stories in there.
That vertical drama sure sounds like his post, plus some dual effects. I guess Chinese writers read reddit through VPN or something too :D
Hi everyone. I hope everybody is fine. After several rewatch of TTOTM. A new aspect of the drama strikes me today…
OK, sorry, seeing Bo're again I am reminded of how funny were those tweets when the drama first aired that were asking "can I get pregnant in Bo're life" LOL. And they mixed up with the infamous bad spellings of "pregnant" so now my memory is filled with "can I get preganante in Bo're life", "how do I pregante in Bo're life" and "does it hurt babys top of the head" LOL, sorry.
I know that's not the point of the post but seriously.... how DOES one get pregonate in Bo're life?! :D
https://x.com/gomanga/status/2090890775831670796The novel was licensed by Seven seas (Hidden love, MXTX titles)!
Just browsed through SSE's site and saw the news. OMG, don't-know-how-many volumes at 21 each... Then again, I bought all the danmei they've released, dozens of volumes, I have no standing to let this one go LOL. So I guess I'll be waiting for it. I hope the cover art does the drama justice :D
Phong is going to be our spirit animal. "They were kissing at the police station?!... Did you get pictures!"That's…
So, theories. The girl doc with the blood bag is Tee's GF who needs the blood for herself and "made" him by mistake - now he's dead. Either she or the killer Nour offed him.
For the recurring killer, I think it's probably Chita. He does have that burn and seems a bit strange (and said his life was empty etc.) He has the signs of a Nour who managed to learn how to blend among humans, much like Ken.
As for James... The man's smitten LOL. "Who'd want to like you, Inspector?" hehehe. You, darling. You would.
PS "Here's a secret, we met five years ago while I was trying to kill myself in a laundromat. Now don't ever tell anyone this secret or else."
Every word Ken is speaking is calculated, but man, is he bad at math.
(NiF2 is also good, particularly the battle scenes. You might want to take a look. IMHO it's not as good as NiF1, but it's very good in its own power).

Errr... O.o
I'm starting to wonder how these two guys ever became cops.
Also, no FL... tentative yay?...

That's right, pics or it didn't happen!
I love it they already have a cheer club at the station LOL. Nothing they ever do will escape those curious minds hahaha~
