I am starting ep 31. In the prison scene, can someone explain how FL remembered about the marriage bond? Did she…
LQQ always had the power to remove her memory block, he gave that power to Chu Ying. But he had also blocked that part of his own memory, so he just "forgot" he could do that. Since now he remembered, he freed her memory too, as he had promised.
Okay. First, your own religious observances are not for the rest of the world to know and adhere to, because the rest of the world is not of the same religion. (And I am not speaking on behalf of the production team because that's not my right.)
Second, YOUR choice to respect religion observation does not mean you have any right to go anywhere and impose it on anyone else. Particularly on an international site that does NOT have any relation to anything you want challenged - this site has zero, ZERO influence on what the production team does wherever, for any drama that may be.
Third, assuming anyone OWES you respect for something that is not even happening (because you and your friends or alt accounts decided this is AN ISSUE and you HAVE to take measures about it, like it's your inalienable right) is basically ridiculous.
Live and let live. And if you can't be bothered, that also is not my problem. And happily there's a block button still, so everyone can use it when people become too preachy and/or obnoxious.
In short, you all just - chill out. This is not anything important, no matter what you pretend and you DO know it. You just choose to behave like this because you think it's allowed. It's not "forrbidden" it seems, but please stop pushing your religion down everyone's throat. It's not "disrespect" and "insult" to use geometrical patterns on a material and that is just that.
At this point, I am pretty sure all the sect leaders are in on it.
I don't think she survived. She was a demonic cultivator, but they poisoned her, and I think Fu Tian would definitely make 1000% sure she died.
I think it's either a relative of Lin MuHan - because of that little seed they planted with the grandpa being so careful with his grandkids in that inn that made LMH so thoughtful - or it's all of them in a no-question-asked conspiracy because everyone profits from it. Maybe they didn't think anything would happen THIS time or at least not to LMH (who added himself to the party unasked for), BUT it had happened a lot of times already, because FT's sect fished for victims every 5 years. There's no way they wouldn't realise what was going on since it happened for so long. So yeah, I'm pretty sure the top masters - they all know.
LOL, is it me or did anyone else want to skip some of the x-rated scenes, too? Because if you're not going to show anything actually, at least tone down the lights LOL. I was about to calculate skin surfaces by the time they hit the shower AGAIN. At least they were eco-friendly.
Anyway - so time-space did a hiccup or did XiXi have anything witchy to do with it?! Because if it turns out it's all his dream I'm going to go on a rant.
Even so, don't you think creating a second alt account (because I'm pretty certain it's the same person) to claim religious offenses over a tablecloth (that might or might not look like a prayer rug... ) a bit too extreme? Not even that, their first account was only created to go to town on King the Land when they also had an offensive scene involving (I think) an Arab billionaire or something (I'm sorry, I dropped that drama pretty early, I don't even remember if I watched that scene or not, but I saw the hullaballoo about it in the comments section).
Is that acceptable? Going on rants - so far they're the only person claiming to be offended by it, if it's even real, but they did already post two 1-star reviews for this drama, having "completed" it at 40 eps that didn't even finish airing, and also not having anything to say about it but this offense.
IMHO that's taking it very far, especially since MDL is not in any way related to anything in China, production team. Douban rates, airing network AT ALL.
Also, as an aside, please educate me, which symbols are exclusive to Islam? And are prayer mats - the OBJECTS - actually sacrosant?! I am not a student of religions so I may be unaware, but like... is that actually real or just taking it - yet again - way too far? Because as far as I know, while they are respected because of their use, they are NOT part of the actual creed, just objects used to designate a space for prayer.
Personality traits get kind of fixed in early childhood. I bet he would've thought the same, and maybe acted later…
I don't think so - for three main reasons.
1. LQQ is a half War Demon. He doesn't understand human emotions the way Fu Tian would. He isn't moved by greed, or fear, or despair, or even entice hope. He's kind of like a human-fleshed logical entity. And since his sense of right and wrong is also pretty fixed, he wouldn't have the later wisdom to forgive Fu Tian his human errors.
2. One of the actual problems of Fu Tian was that LQQ was basically indestructible. He could get cut, burned, splashed with boiling water, poisoned - anything, and still survive, and even more, never feel any pain. He'd be the Superman of the cultivation world and not even realise it, because that was his reality and nothing special to him. While Fu Tian had no chance, even if he could reach immortality, to get that kind of "special powers". And I think that's what he actually wanted.
3. Even when they were kids together, LQQ had the upper moral stand over Fu Tian. Yes they killed their master but it was mostly Fu Tian doing the deed and LQQ feeling remorseful enough to wipe his own memories of it because he felt it was still wrong... while Fu Tian couldn't care less, except he was free now. And later on he comes back to get the evil ways of their master and also couldn't care less. No matter what... Fu Tian would have become what he did become - because he's greedy for what other have and he doesn't. And hates his former friend for not falling to the same level as him, too.
This is someone SECOND alt account, made today to post another 1 star review after the previous one, claiming there's a tablecloth in that episode that reminds them of a prayer rug model. I guess they're the only person who sees that, but now they're on a whole crusade over it, trying to make an anthill out of nothing.
As to the OP:
Geometrical patterns are nothing new and not reserved for religious use. Please grow up. There's nothing here to be offended about. There are way too many other dramas that have erred in truth and a lot more obviously than your one-sided impression with this one, go harass those comments sections if you feel that need so deeply.
Also, just for your further education - while this is definitely a xianxia drama and thus doesn't HAVE to borrow anything from reality (not even religion), IF it were to borrow North/non-Chinese populations' traditions, elements of culture and/or religion, they'd be mostly borrowed from the Jurchen, who were NOT Islamic in any way, shape or manner, but practiced shamanism and later took on Chinese belief systems like Buddhism, Confucianism etc. When the Mongols subdued the Jurchen, even then, while a few important people converted, the majority of the population DID NOT.
What now, is rug-weaving going to come up as a religious affront to you, too, or something the like? If people close to the desert or living along the Silk Road used cloth face masks, will that be another affront? Seriously, stop being so offended over things you imagine to be that never actually happened.
Episode 30 revealing their past gave me a flashback of Blood River and had me wondering that if they had stuck…
Personality traits get kind of fixed in early childhood. I bet he would've thought the same, and maybe acted later on it - but he would have eventually acted, anyway.
See, that's why you gain back your senses - this man is going to be the most food-motivated human of all times.…
Why do I feel like changing his heart won't be as ~simple~ as the rest of the tasks? I kind of think it'll involve him forgetting or even rejecting Xin Mei. Maybe that'll stop his complete transformation. Or maybe not.
Oh NO!!! I don't want Chu Ying to disappear! Why can't he transfer him to someone else so that CY keeps his human form and power? Or at least his human form. Pretty please.
So Bai whatever is no longer a nine-niner, LOL. So sad /not. He should settle for that disciple and have numerous non-nine-niners kids together thxbye.
If the third prophecy is correct, then the saviour of the world was always A-Sheng anyway. So other nine-niners are there as fillers.
Can LMH somehow help Jin Lun enough to re-grow his arm or something? And then could JL go teach A-Sheng some lesson about being more practical in her rejection, so that people don't get a qi deviation over it, please?
ETA OMG I WAS RIGHT~~
LMH's voice kept scratching me in a very persistent manner and it turns out the VA is Jin Li, Lan ShiZui's VA!! OBVIOUSLY it's LSZ~~ And it was the VA's first voice-acting role, too :)
See, that's why you gain back your senses - this man is going to be the most food-motivated human of all times. I can already see him in old age, round as a ball LOL.
Slowly, Lin MuHan became one of my favourites. Sure he can be childish and a bit full of himself, but when it counts, he's there. And he's not afraid to step in and offer help even unasked for. I hope he makes it til the end.
I guess poor Rusty can't escape his fate - he's being chased and teased by girls left, right and center, LOL, there might be something about his puppy nature that gets the girls crazy hahaha~
Wow, the two male hosts exchanged half of their costumes (I know they didn't but it sure looks like it LOL). They should each pick a colour and stick with it.
Hwang MinHyun is out of the army, yay, Study Group 2 when? Let's go backpacking!
Song Kang is out too, I don't want to watch Four Hands, let's have another! (preferably some other supernatural drama, just don't even think about making any SW4, the 2nd and 3rd were bad enough on their own.)
Now as to the winners...
Grand Prize - wow. Well, that's a choice. A good actor, but that drama - nobody much watched it (don't know how it did in SK. Probably well enough to warrant this).
Best Actor - another safe choice but a lackluster drama. Though TBH there wasn't much to pick from the nominees (and I mean only the dramas they were nominated for, the actors themselves are good).
Best Actress - same as above. But the drama seems to be loved, at least.
Best Supporting - wait, wait, wait, there's a trend. So the people voting for these... are kind of old or at least pretty melancholic about the past? Most of the nominees were about dramas set at least 40 to 50 years in the past, what, is that inspired by WLGYT's success or something?!
At least The King's Warden seems to have got enough love. And the rest of the prizes are kind of evenly spread around, so nobody feels shafted.
Wait no way, did Omniscient Reader get a Best Actor nomination? Errr...
This is not half bad at all. It's full of rebirth tropes (but who cares), but the acting is solid, there seems…
I'm just sad Yin Qi distrusts ONLY Yanzhi, when it's the trio - the Ding (? IIRC their names) bros and this ZiMing character - that's the CP's spies.
Like bro, haven't you read any transmigration/rebirth novel before?! You're supposed to go back with full knowledge on what happened, and THEN plan and ennact a complete takedown of everyone involved, and even if you initially suspect someone - looking at you, The Obsessive Shou Moves On - you take revenge anyway - looking at you, Little Madman's Guide to Acting Good - and only afterwards do you descend into heavenly bliss - looking at you, Rebirth of a Movie Star.
*Ahem* So I read a lot of rebirth danmei, sue me.
PS Also LOL @the Emperor, he only gets gay sons, haha, take THAT, statistics!
This is not half bad at all. It's full of rebirth tropes (but who cares), but the acting is solid, there seems to be an actual plot, they even slid in some very soft smut LOL, and the ED song is beautiful!
I'm kind of sad it'll be only 10 eps, but at least they're full length. I have high hopes for this one.
I'm catching up too faaaaast T_TAt 25th now, and wow does Wang MingYang (playing DanReng) look so much like XZ…
LOL, she got to Nascent Soul and everyone in the city stopped to look hahaha~
Guys, guys, can I get your attention on the ongoing slaughter and also old-book-filled library burning (that can spread to the whole city, not like anyone's doing ANYTHING about it).
That poor guy who ran out of ink and started writing in blood... talk about DNA imprint!
Her old flame (ha!) could also please just drop dead, thankyouverymuch. Yo, XuanZi, got any more of those blood-linking Gu worms?....
At 25th now, and wow does Wang MingYang (playing DanReng) look so much like XZ in that get-up. He even has the dimples. (Also, DanReng sucks and should drop dead.)
Shoutout to Huang Yi (playing Xia XuanZi), his character is such a delight to hate on. And handsome! (Why are most villains so handsome. There should be a law against it).
Anyway - the past few eps were amazing, the music grew on me so much I'm looking for the OST, and A-Sheng's madness is making me start not liking her chara. I get where she's coming from but he WAS right - she duped Xin Mei into taking her in and that's kind of not something a good person would ever do.
'' Director Zeng Qing Jie made only one request of him — to lose weight. '' *makes face SERIOUSLY?!
He explained it though - it's because the character has suffered so much and is a cuckoo's egg in his enemies' lair. He would be extremely troubled and always imagining dangers even when there would be none. It's also nicely put as the character having a thin body, a hunched posture, never striding upright and confident in his own position - which his character's brother DOES show at all times.
I mean, it's not because the director was unreasonable, LOL.
Second, YOUR choice to respect religion observation does not mean you have any right to go anywhere and impose it on anyone else. Rose: :Love Goddess
These two should seriously get together.
Also:
Krit: blah blah blah blah blah *serious stuff*
Wayu: *Should I kiss him? Should I not?*
Krit: *reading his mind like an open book the whole time*
PS Also Wayu DRENCHED in love pheromones, everybody was drunk on his happiness, so cute!
