I find you comments interesting in a good way especially that part of how u think about the end. Personally, I loved this drama so much. But for the life of me, I can’t come with a conclusion about how it would end. I still hope both Hae Ryung and prince rim will get their happy end. Usually, I’m ok with different and even sad endings but I’m rooting for those 2 to have a happy ending.

I love this drama so much. One of my favorite dramas. I guess people got used to fluffy unrealistic romance that is bombarding kdrama land and this drama with so much emotions and flawed humans irritated them so much. Most bad reviews just saying it’s bad because the hated the girl cheating as if nothing like that happens in real life!

Not everyone. She have a lot of supporters. I watch mostly on YouTube and people there r very positive about her. But, it looks like this forum is full of her haters. They even rate her dramas very badly to drag the rating down even before airing the first episode. These people are haters and not people who Judge her as an actress. I guess it’s because of one stupid reasons like dating the shine guy or acting with nam in the bride of the water god when he had another actress as a girl friend.

She is like a statue most of the time. Almost no emotions in her acting. But in my opinion she was best in Black…
I personally don’t see her as a statue at all. I can see all the emotions in her eyes and her acting is very subtle unlike many of those who exaggerate and over act in kdramas. Her style to me is the best and the most natural. I even love most of her dramas even those who people consider questionable as she goes out of the comfort zone unlike actress who keep repeating the same role on this fake innocence, silly under average IQ which seams to appeal to kdrama audience.
It looks like the drama was done filming yesterday. I hope the writer keeps up with the amazing work so far and give us a satisfying ending. Seeing Shin Se Kyung was crying as the drama came to an end and Cha Eun Woo trying to console her as they both received flowers was so precious (it’s on Instagram). I don’t imagine any romance or anything. I just hope they stay good friends as the videos behind the scenes were really very positive:) . I hope the whole cast stay friends and maybe get to film together in the future. They really had the best chemistry that I ever seen for a team of actors together :) They also just had their wrap up party today and the vibes looks so positive.

She got a lot of bash in the bride of the water god because the main guy had a girl friend who is an actress. Her fans tried to trash SSK so bad. But, she got so many fans in YouTube who support her and stood up to the haters. I remember it. It was crazy fans war. Too bad that SSK get a lot of bashing for these stupid reasons like dating the shine guy many years ago, acting with nam in the bride of the water god. But in this forum people r really bad to her. I mean the bride of the water god deserves a lot more than 7.2 rating considering that many other worst dramas got higher rating. I hope they don’t do the same for this drama.
Does this series have contemporary romance or the full thing?
It’s a fusion historical (means it has some contemporary ideas while being historical) no fantasy stuff like time travel an so on. It set in historical time and it have a very nice romance between a young sheltered romantic prince and a realistic and pragmatic female historian. It also show a lot of challenges they face to uncover the truth about their identity and what happened to their fathers. I personally like it very much. It’s the best drama for me in this year so far. You could give it a try and see if u like it or not as people have different taste and it might not be to ur liking.

Also, I recently joined soompi forum discussion about the drama and everyone there likes it. I have to say that this forum to me was the most toxic for her. People here go out of their way to spread hate against her, tell others not to watch her dramas, and even give very bad rating before the her dramas starts. Several years back she used to get the same hate on YouTube but I think people in YouTube are less tolerant towards haters and bullies they called them for it. Some of her older videos (for example, the first episode of blade man on YouTube) she get a lot of people standing up for her and saying they don’t get the haters and that she acts good though I hardly find couple of comments hating on her at the specific episode. The most troubling thing to me is that most of these haters are women themselves. I hardly see a man saying a bad thing about her. It’s women who r toxic. The person who said the worst enemy of women are women themselves could not have been more correct.

I was hoping he did not do something unethical or bad and that there is a misunderstanding or something for Hae Ryung sake. She will be heart broken when she knows. It actually make sense when u say he was involved with the letters. It did not occur to me. But, as I think of it, he definitely did something bad as he keeps saying he does not deserve to be forgiven and deserves death after revealing the truth.

It’s a good drama nam goong min is an outstanding villain. I still get the chills whenever I see his eyes. Yes it’s worth it. The plot is a lot better developed and the villain is far much more believable than the plot in dramas like strong woman do bong soon. Yet, the later got better rating I guess due to more popular actors.
I can’t imagine how the prince and goo Hae Ryun will feel when they discover their true identity. How disappointed and betrayed they will be! Most particularly for goo Hae Ryun. Her brother is so special to her.
Can’t wait for tomorrow! Watching behind the scenes of this drama is a blast. Seriously, the team are great together. It’s rare to see a team with such amazing chemistry behind the scenes. I like all the actors even the ones with little role like the young historian who get bullied sometimes - He is so cute. The the team of actors and people who work behind the scenes are doing awesome job.
It’s not sad, it’s actually has a lot funny stuff but very relatable too. The main 2 leads are the prince who was sheltered all his life in the place but fall in love with the heroine at first sight. The heroine is a pragmatic and intelligent young lady who wanted to challenge the culture and norms of the times to become a female historian. She falls in love very slowly with the lead. Both of them face many challenges and learn for it. There r 4 episodes to go and it got a bit more serious recently as they r heading for the resolutions and final. Both leads dad were killed (when they were very young) by the same person. So, it’s normal that it’s a more serious know to deal with the truth. Hope this helps. I actually like this drama very much and like such leading lady character. She is very relatable to many of us girls out in real world.
@ sandhyamohonraj, I personally liked this drama. It is a lot better than many other dramas I watched. It’s not my favorite. But, I still liked it more than other fantasy drama out there. I even liked it more than goblin as I actually did not see any chemistry between the main couple in goblin. Some people were critical because it’s not like the original. But, I don’t mind that considering I did not read the original . It would have been a lot better has the writing been better. But, it not definitely deserving of all these bad reviews. I guess some people were not happy that the main guy had a gf at the time of this drama and was acting romantically with anther actress. Which is a wired reason to give a bad review in my opinion as actors need to work even if they have GF or BF. I remember when I was watching it. It was like a war between fans. It was crazy all the bashing, name calling etc...
