Am I going to pick up this bomb only because of Yoo Ah In? Absolutely
He is amazing here. He said in an interview that he loved the character he played very much because it reminded him of his real self. It’s definitely not a typical drama but very memorable.

I'm curious about this drama xDso many high rated "good" dramas feel meh while some low rated ones are more entertaining..
I loved it so much. It’s a drama that u will either love or hate. It’s not a normal romantic drama. It’s about greed, people who stab each other in the back. I don’t think we r gonna see any drama similar to this anymore. newer dramas are becoming boring for me honestly. This one I keep remembering and rewatching for some crazy reason.

Just finished watching the final episode. It was confusing that’s why i came here just in case somebody would…
After she disappeared in the lamp. She was reborn into a new life as her previous self the princess. What we saw is her new lifetime which is her third life and she was dreaming about her previous life with the man she loved.

Hope to see her and Hyun Bin work again together. I like their chemistry and they look good together. I watched…
I don’t think it would be possible. They were in a relationship before she married song and it looked like it ended badly.

After The tale of Nokdu , i started to watch historical drama hahah. Its so good and i really enjoyed watching…
I liked is very much. One of the best of 2019 dramas. A sheltered prince and outgoing historian and political issues they face.

I feel sorry for Rong Qi..why he always have unrequited Love.. In Ashes of Love and here... ANd i really feel…
It was not unrequited love in this drama considering that he and the FL lead were really in love and even lived together. It was mutual love but he need to let her go and made her lose her memory to protect her. It was one of the most selfless love ever.

should have stick to the lighthearted theme, the love triangle is frustrating and as usual the political, gosh…
I would recommend u checking rookie historian goo Hae Ryun then. No love triangle, lighthearted romcom in historical setting:)

Wow I don't know why but I can't continue watching this... It's fun and light and I like it but well it doesn't…
If u have dropped it, then it’s not fair to say the drama went nowhere. I’m not a hug fan of romantic dramas especially those with empty plot that after the first couple of episodes there is nothing else to add. But this drama was really good in presenting many social and political issues that kept it very interesting. Not only did this drama showed issues about gender inequalities and the gap between classes etc... It presented many new issues that have never been presented before such as discussion about Christianity in Korea and perceptions of western foreigns in that region. I have always assumed in my mind that christinaty came easily to South Korea. if it was not for this drama presenting about this topic, I would have never been got the idea to research the topic. Many issues were presented in lighthearted manner but they were very important to that time of history and even to our modern day today. The writer (even though this is her first original) was really good in being able to present lighthearted romance but saying a lot about social and political issues. I also personally loved how she kept true to the drama and resolved the conflict toward the end peacefully. She sent a true message that people can have a voice to make a difference. I know many people just cared for the romance and these things were not of great importance, but many others such as me and others I discussed with cared a lot about these issues presented in this drama. you can like what u like and drop a drama if u want, it’s just the assumption that the drama is going no where that I find truly unfair to this drama.

I am enjoying this drama AND I think the main leads are doing a great job... am I the only one? Seems like there…
I think what some people have a problem with is the language and tone that is used in this drama. The highly acclaimed historical drams such as tree with deep roots (it was actually recommended by a Korean lecturer of Korean history for me and other students) or six flaying dragon has a more formal tone and language that is suitable for that time in Korea (please note, I mean critically acclaimed dramas not moon drown by the clouds or something like it). Also, the acting of the actors and actresses is being criticised for being inappropriate (too modern too) for the historical context too. The drama seems to have impressive budget. It could have helped if the actors got some training to prepare for historical roles and even brought up a historian on board too. Because usually these historical drama requires more than the normal acting required for modern dramas. But, as a Netflix drama, maybe they thought of commercial success only for the drama. I’m just answering ur question. Im personally a huge fan of tree with deep roots and six flying dragon because they were made when the craze of Kdramas was not all over the place like these days. I peaked on this one and it seems impressive but I could not feel the authenticity that I felt with the other two (this drama is also made about the same historical context of these two. Hence, why I’m comparing it to them) No hate though. We all like what we like :) if it’s ur first of its kind, then you have nothing to compare to and that is better.

hi @serena ,can u do a review under the review section ? would be appreciated, thanks .
I will do that once I have sometime to write my thought down :). I really loved this drama so much. Too bad many haters had to drag the rating down. This deserves at least 9. Considering that people give other less worthy dramas 9 and 10 rating.

honestly, its been a long time now and i dont think that we are here to judge...yes what he said was wrong but…
Thank you! I seriously sometimes don’t understand what’s wrong with women. They all become forgiving and loving when in a matter of fact people like him never change. Even if they stopped saying it, that does not mean it’s not on his mind! Women need to stop glorifying a guy because of his looks!

I just come here for the hate...lol comments are hilarious rofl
Well, if people bother to educate themselves and read the name of writers before jumping into their expectation for a silly romance, then they may have saved themselves writing the hate comments!

Because you r asking, actually this drama was quite popular in SK and got to 15% ratings for a weekdays drama- thats quite impressive. It was also nominated for several awards and was enjoyed mostly by adults. I personally liked the acting a lot and the chemistry between both leads. That’s how late 20 leading lady and late 30 leading men should act in a more natural and subtle way. It’s actually quit annoying seeing all this girls in these dreams who r in late 20s or even worse late 30 acting like 10 years old. Also, most of interaction between the leads happened in the work environment or home. It was quite good and natural to me. I enjoyed the first part of the drama a lot. The part were we see the leads in their previous life and then their meeting in the present. It was quit interesting to see what the witches did to get punished. I was anticipating every episode. The problem to me started when the production company got greedy and decided to add more episodes as the drams got quite popular. You know, these dramas are being made while being aired. I think that was the major issue that let the drama down to me. They did not have enough materials to extend the drama but they did. Also, I had a problem with why the writer decided to make the main lead immortal. I started the drama because both of them were human (I like dramas when both leads on the same level. I mean I don’t like one bing a robot and one human or one bing supernatural and the other human. Not a fan of these) so, it was quite disappointing to see the writer heading that way. Acting wise, I thought the whole team did amazing. both leads and witches were on par with their characters and did not disappoint especially tacking into consideration the added episodes.
