Actually I just recall something, when the girl demon captured YBC she saw her love thread on her neck and said “you are obviously mortal but there’s something demonic in you”. The demon was attracted to her “unique scent”, which I think is the demon scent. This is how she found her and captured her. So it seems her love thread is from a demon, Pian Ran (most likely).

I also asked about this yesterday. We think the love thread was stolen from Pian Ran. She mentioned to YXW she doesn’t have one. I’m wondering if YBC scenes were cut because she only had 17 mins screen time during the mortal world. Maybe they will show flackback of how she stole the love thread.

No, I don't think so. The second book is the story of Orchid's master, Si Ming, and her dragon lover. "Si Ming" is more like the prequel because her story happened 1500 years before Orchid met DFQC. However, Dylan and Esther will be guest stars in that drama, so we get to them in a few scenes!
