I agree with your comment! I see a lot of people not liking her, but life changes everyone. Her life changed her and is continuing to do so after she met Nam Shin III.

You're not alone! I actually really like her as well! I somewhat understand why she's like what she is. After all, a little bit of money ruined her life, why shouldn't she try to make it herself and be happy? :)

I see him being attached to Nam Shin III only because he looks like Nam Shin the human at the moment. If at any point he actually ends up caring about Nam Shin III, it won't matter because he'll probably choose Nam Shin (the human) over the AI. :c

He doesn't even know he has a kill switch. Okay, he might not have emotions like he said, but the viewers see him developing them because he's learning from living with the humans. He'll obviously be hurt when he finds out, but he'll probably let the mother pull it if she tells him she wants to because he seems so loyal right now. My only hope is that his care for Kang So Bong will be enough for him to want to go against his mother, although, I don't see how a relationship between an AI and a human will work out no matter how much I ship them. :c

That's what I was thinking as well! David might be the only one thinking about Nam Shin III at the moment. I've lost all respect for the mother, ngl, and even if she redeems herself, I won't think about her the same way I did when the show started. It's like she's just hiding behind the name "Mother." What a shame.

Can we just talk about the Kill Switch for a second? Like, wtf, I knew she was being horribly cold to him, but I could have let that go. Now she's here like she'll get rid of Nam Shin III after human Nam Shin wakes up? So selfish.

I understand wanting company and all that and that's the only reason she made Nam Shin III, but she shouldn't do that to him since he's obviously developing emotions of some sort and he respects and loves her so much.

Seems like she was just waiting for the day that human Nam Shin would come to her, and because she didn't think that would ever happen she hadn't put a kill switch, until he came about.
I have no hope for human Nam Shin's secretary/friend either. I believe he will end up wanting to sacrifice our beloved robot, just like his friend's mother.

Honestly, though, I get that she loves her son, but she made both of them. How can someone be so cruel to their own creation? :(

Yes! I would have loved it so much more if the past life was a drama on it's own! I think it was done this way to prevent the sad ending so that it would have been perceived better. I do like the show though! :)

I kind of get why she's like that. Her boxing career was ruined because someone valued money over fairness and now she's just doing the same because the same was done with her. At least that's what I think so.
Plus, it doesn't help that the human Nam Shin hit her, that too, because he paid money, not to her, but to someone else.
I am glad that she knows it's not the human Nam Shin with her right now. I would have hated it she found out after she'd fallen in love with him.

I totally understand what you're saying, and that's what I've been thinking as well. No matter what, robot or human, she should care equally and not treat him as a creation but as someone who was with her when her real son wasn't. If anything, she should be grateful that she had Nam Shin III, even though she's the one who made him.

I'm so attached to him as well! He just seems so kind and understanding. I wish he gets the ending he deserves.

I've analysed it so much, but I'm super weak for those eyes as well. They both have such pretty eyes! I keep showing them to my friends and family. :P

It's so sad that while Nam Shin III's mother obviously cares for him, we all know he's just a replacement for her real son and that is why she seems to not be treating them equally.
Of course, when one child isn't well the mother will give more importance to them, but she's clearly ignoring him and when he's like "I'm Shin as well," you can see her taken aback because she'd never thought of the possibility of Shin III saying something that portrays feelings of hurt.
Obviously, a human and a robot can't compare, but she should at least care about him enough to not hurt the feelings he's developing despite being a robot, which is something I don't see her doing since she got her human son back.
I would honestly hate for Nam Shin III's story to end badly, which is a very high possibility. It seems as though he'll probably work hard and end up making a good name for the human Nam Shin, only to be replaced by him, while also losing someone he genuinely loves (maybe?) without having seen them since he was created (Kang So Bong) or them being input in his memory and perhaps also losing his mother who might not need him in her life anymore since she'd have her real son back (which would honestly be very shallow of her character).

It makes me so sad because Nam Shin III is sooo pure and innocent! I hope they make it work somehow because I don't want him to just end up disappearing or being taken apart in the end like he's "served his purpose" and isn't needed anymore! :c

(ALSO, how cute was he when he asks Young Hoon if human Nam Shin would like him when he wakes up? AND WHEN HE SEES OTHER MACHINES/ROBOTS. OML HE'S SUCH A SWEETHEART. Aww. <3)

Tbh, I'm not one to re-watch anything completely. I'll remember my favorite parts, and I'll just jump to them whenever I feel like I want to watch it. That way, if the whole episode is my favorite, I will watch it, but if the next one has certain parts that I liked more, I'll just watch those and be satisfied. :)

I saw your post on the feeds tab a few days ago (or maybe a week ago? I'm not sure.) and I was waiting for the article to be published. Even started thinking that you may have scraped it because I didn't see it up. :)

I'm so in love with Come and Hug Me, and it's been so long since any TV show (drama, in this case) has made me like this... waiting for the next episode anxiously and eagerly. The show has made me fall more in love with Asian TV, since I started watching dramas this year. I wonder how many more gems I have yet to find! :D

Just wanted to say that you've done a great job at this article and highlighted all the good points about the drama without giving any spoilers! :)
