Any new historical(non xianxia) cdramas that are very popular now? How do I find out about this? I remember someone here mentioned douban or something like that. The "popular" new kdramas on netflix are pretty much duds so I am now watching or rewatching animes.

Maybe we are too used to weird, fantastical plots in kdrama, so that a normal story doesn't feel interesting enough? But I actually watched the FL's long weekend family drama "Father is strange" years ago but never felt bored like this one. I can't get a finger too , on what's missing. in this one. The premise for this series actually was interesting and I was looking forward to it.

yeah, maybe the Steve Jobs signature turtle neck/jeans that FL wore at beginning of ep1 is a giveaway.

What type of company is Greip supposed to be Apple, Google? Any clues given in the drama?

Been interested in the FL's work since Playfull Kiss and I am all for slice of life dramas... but this shows' pace is way too slow. Maybe a sea monster with nuclear breath emerging from the Bay of Incheon would help.

Are you talking about the parents and neighbours.?They are really cringy such that I've started skipping their scenes, which is large portion of the drama. Same goes with the ongoing "Romance in the House" drama. I hope majority of real S.Korean people are not like that and the portrayals in the drama are just a caricature.

Dunno, the kid who plays young seung ho actually looks like the younger version of Choi Jin Hyuk from miss night and day.

1st ep is a bit boring. I've got a great idea, why don't they add a murder mystery into the plot lol..

For me the best scene in the whole drama was earlier, when XFF confronted his scholar husband (when he was consulted whether Jian Ling should attend college). The innuendo in her speech was quite spine chilling.

You mean Chinese or China? The Chinese diaspora in the world is very large and I would assume many of the commentators here come from there. I also notice that cdrama sites on MyDramalist are generally more civil and peaceful compared to the infestation at popular kdrama pages.

They're weird 😁 but foot binding which was already popular with the elite by the time of Song dynasty, that's really bad.

Alas, I wish we have not discussed the young FL changed appearance. Now bone shaving surgery comes into mind whenever I see her and my hair stands up. Don't know why but I get the same reaction whenever I see Park Min Young.

He is of the old-style 90s ML ( Harrison Ford, Chow Yun Fatt ), rugged, good looking not pretty boy type as most kdrama leads are today.

I think the previous owner had some skeleton in the cupboard. Probably murdered because of that but not by the dad.

Probably he wants to make sure he is no longer a burden before he attempts reconcilation.

I Mean Ji jin hee who plays the returned husband. He is a veteran actor .

Ji jin hee still looks original, pretty much the same as dongyi and dae jang geum days, just older. The rest of the main cast, not so sure.
