First ep ain't that good imo, feels draggy yet messy, they're trying too much to fit everything in but none of…
For a 12-episode series, I think one episode to fill in the Joseon backstory is just appropriate. The fun begins when the FL travels to the future and discovers all the freedom that comes with the more progressive society of the future. But I hope the series doesn't degrade into a "Penthouse" heavy type drama in the second half.
I just browsed the start of ep2 and skipped ep1. Is the deserted island a tropical island? I find it incredulous that after 15 years she still looked so fair and good. Believe me , her skin would be dark and really tanned.
Someone pls help, is this drama really good or is it highly rated because of the actress? I’m thinking about…
I think this is targeted for young female audience. A bit too long and I don't feel the chemistry, Maybe they could have found a more mature and less effeminate looking male lead to suit the supposedly large age gap role. My personal rating =8.0, definitely not in the 9.1 category.
I gave it a try as Netflix keep introducing this series to me. For a cdrama with a 9.1 rating, I was expecting something spectacular like Joy of Life, or at least reaching the heights of Love like the Galaxy. I actually prefer slow burn romance dramas, but I think here it is just too slow and draggy. Dropped. I guess this is not intended for older male audience.
Finally watched it and I quite liked it. I really liked seeing a kdrama with a rich/famous fl and just an ordinary…
I really don't know what to think of the ending. Lead actress (Suzy)is of the opinion they are unlikely to meet again. Actor and director=who knows, maybe. Netflix=yes, they meet again. Keeps feeding us with positive easter eggs here and there. Maybe the Netflix suits think if the ending is open, people won't be happy and see the show. So, protecting their investment?
This is a modified adaption of the Japanese 2016 series "Fulltime Wife Escapist"(available on Netflix) which spawned the viral Koi dance in Japan. For those who think this is too draggy, the Japanese original is only half the length of the Korean version and does not have the breakup trope.
Rewatch the series again after all these years because one of the actress in Doona! was also here. This is one of my all time fav dramas. Looking at clips of the new India remake and realizing how bad it was, just made me realize that the two leads adorable acting were crucial in making this series so good. And the OST too.
Unfortunately, not endorsed by the director. He leaves it open. To quote him :-When asked about the ending scene,…
So, the scene in the car when best friend found the autograph is after the fan sign? Also not explained how he got the personal autograph. I am really confused.
Unfortunately, not endorsed by the director. He leaves it open. To quote him :-
When asked about the ending scene, which is still arousing viewers’ interpretations, the director said, “As I said, I wanted to present the relationship between Doona and Won-joon, which is like a fantasy, in a realistic way. Who knows how life will go? No matter where they are now, how they live, or whether they may meet each other again or not, they will always remember the other in their lives.”
Found an article that explains the ending. Totally missed out on all the easter eggs.https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/doona-ending-explained/
Ahh.. Radiotimes. So no questions about the ending then, By the way, if you look carefully, the jacket won by won jun at Mount Fuji and mall isn't exactly the same one. There is a button on the collar lapel is one of them. Doesn't detract from the argument though. Also the sigh by Won Jun at the mall was a sigh of relief. I think he saw Donna and purposely led his boss away from Doona so that they don't have to cross path in public.
