I'm on Netflix pace so up to episode 22. Does this series get any better from here? I mean the rating is 9.0 but its only watchable for me so far. I find the romance a bit slow and lack of zing.

why do young guys in cdrama have such heavy white makeup? it looks weird. should they not be tanned from military campaigning ?

So does the adopted lady cousin of FL who gets banished disappears from the drama after ep11. ?Because she is listed as a guest star only. Seems that the villainess is another lady.

well i can spot difference between Tang/Song , Ming and Qin. otherwise nope.

i would think its would be based on the the Warring States era just before the Chin dynasty( first emperor, he of the terra cotta warrior)

I wouldn't know as I can't read Mandarin anyway. That webpage is one the few and rare sites in English that is dedicated exclusively to cdramas.
