I rate this as a near 9.0. I went to the "Tangerine" page for another talked about slice of life drama. and 9.4!! rating. I dropped it after 1 or 2 episodes but is it really that good compared to this one? I watched this because of initial fascination with PBY's acting in this show. However the script stayed tight mostly, and I manage to finish it, which is rare for me nowadays.
started off great, went kind of eh half way through then spiked up again and the ending was just meh again, imo…
Well, the first half was definitely better but it's still a pretty good landing. I have lost count of the number of kdramas(or cdrama's) that I've dropped recently due to disappointing second half or ending. It seems to be the bane of recent kdrama's .
Watching Stong Woman while waiting for new episodes. Park Bo Young looks different now, thinner, more matured and she has less(none) makeup on(kudos to her!) in many scenes.
Kudos to the director, he dedicated almost 1/3 of an episode to a medieval aristocratic wedding ceremony. I find the rituals fascinating, hopefully it's been researched and not make believe.
I don't think it's for you then but if you have time and usually finish what you start despite not liking it then…
I'll probably finish it but at a slower pace. They need to spice up the romance with more intimate scenes, but I guess the CCP censors won't allow that. But even without those things, it still possible to have sizzling chemistry, for example like Darcy and Liz Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.
This is an idol drama, so visuals are more important than accuracy and they love that casket-ready makeup lol.…
The ML looked manly and macho with facial stub and injuries in the 1st episode. After that he just looked like Christopher Lee's dracula. In fact, he would be a good dracula actor lol.
I'm on Netflix pace so up to episode 22. Does this series get any better from here? I mean the rating is 9.0 but its only watchable for me so far. I find the romance a bit slow and lack of zing.
