I feel nothing but pity for anyone trying to adapt LOCH for a movie! I didn't realize you don't know the story.…
I’ve seen a couple of other movies that referenced the books. I have one of the dramas bookmarked on YT and the books are in my Amazon wishlist. I bounce between countries and genres so much I’m behind in my Condor homework. 😄. I promise to get on it after my marathon! 🫡

Doesn’t bode well for me. I’m not a big fan of American police procedurals. 😄

I absolutely love the way you weave important details into your reviews to give them more historical context. 👏🏻

I’m not a fan of comic sidekicks in general so “comically obnoxious” makes me very cautious about starting this drama.

This is one of his few roles that I've seen where he seemed more vulnerable. Ah, the phonebooth scenes. :'(

On The Day of Destruction Feb 24, 2024
At the time of this writing The Day of Destruction can be watched on Tubi. Wolf's Calling (a short film), part of the Resurrection trilogy plays at the beginning of this film.

I found this on Tubi in my region. It plays right before The Day of Destruction by the same director.

Plus those vicious competitive ahjummas didn’t help. She wasn’t allowed to tell them to step off. Just be the chaste dutiful DIL widow. Honestly, I was hoping her MIL would bring the storm with no blades with blades on the Big Bad after what he did and almost let happen to her beloved son.

I thought at first maybe some of her inability to hide her emotions was because she was hidden away and wasn’t exposed to much but she also saw the seedy side of life at night when she was out knocking people around.

I did think the reason she never seemed to respond to his emotions was because she had been trained that there would never be the possibility of a relationship in the future and the ML was the naïve one who thought they could have something and couldn’t hold his emotions in.

You hit the nail on the head. His main job was to look adorable and smitten. 💕
