On my previous comment I forgot to add-Thank you for a beautifully written and "illustrated" article and for the chance to celebrate strong and more well-rounded female characters. :)

I hope I can get past how much I detest the bodyguard, otherwise this will be another drama made nearly unwatchable…
I’m 5 episodes in and she enrages me every time she’s on the screen. I’m hoping for some serious character development to happen stat.

I have watched three of those dramas because of a friend with impeccable taste. ;) And I agree with the characters you mentioned. I still have a couple more to watch and look forward to them.

When I first started watching Kdramas I almost quit because I watched some of the older ones and the women were for the most part helpless doormats that were made to suffer. Of course their long suffering and kind attitudes won over the cold male leads and completely changed them. uh-huh. Fortunately, they are starting to write more well-rounded FLs. The stony faced or abusive MLs aren't as prevalent either. One can only hope we are headed in the right direction.

I still love watching the video when I'm down xD it boosts my mood immediately~~~
I don't remember laughing that hard in a loooooong time. The oppa attack is classic. Probably because it rings true as well.

I could handle the sad ending, didn’t like it, but could have come to terms with it. The parts that I hated were the WTF doppelgänger and the bizarre final conversation with Sun Bo. The production values were the highest of the History series but for me they dropped the ball in the storytelling near the end.

Title Mood Indigo Spoiler
Hello, I don't mind spoiler- is Kuzumi in this drama, or does he only appear briefly? Thank you!
Briefly but brings resolution to The Novelist.

I'd be lying if I'd say I watched this for anything else than Jasper Liu. The plot was over the top and cheesy…
I feel this way about most Jasper Liu dramas but I will watch almost anything to see him smile. :)

I agree. The acting and music were great but the storyline left something to be desired. And I did not like the ending. I haven’t rated it because I have a couple of episodes I need to go back and watch. I was thinking 7-7.5 just because I love the leads so much, but I get where your score comes from totally.

Jung Hae In is such a sweet puppy and it was a delightful ride following him and his friends exploring NYC and Niagara Falls. He and his friends shared a nice dynamic as they discovered new places and some new things about themselves. :)

Just want to say Lee Yoo Young is the worst! Constant look of bafflement in each and every scene. Just one big…
She is the reason I’m struggling to finish this drama. I didn’t care for her performance in Tunnel either.

+ second episode and the [possible] second lead syndrome hit me like a friggin bus!+ fifth episode and I want…
I can't think of any place less I'd rather be than feeling like someone's second choice or that I'm not worthy to be picked without the back and forth-both Mother's and Son's stories. I kept yelling at Jom, "run, boy, run!" and Kelly the same thing, "run, girl, run!"

Taew never smiled at Jom like she did everyone else and treated him like he was something stuck to the bottom of her shoe most of the time. I couldn't invest in this romance.

The son's story was much the same. He flaunts his other gf in front of Kelly and lets her know he's having trouble choosing between the two. Let me make that real easy for you buddy. When a guy is practically doing a coin toss to choose, that's not a sign of love and devotion. Girl get out of there!

I loved Mr Sunshine and Prison Playbook. I really liked When The Camellia Blooms, Live, and My Country. Netflix is the top place I watch dramas so I’m happy they keep adding more Kdramas. It’s a Cdrama but Eternal Love was my first Asian Drama and I watched it on Netflix. It’s what started this lovely addiction. :) Netflix is also where I’ve had access to Taiwanese and Thai dramas. Netflix may not be perfect but I’m thankful for it.

I didn't know either until I searched up the drama to look at the writers! It's actually quite interesting and…
I’ve told my family from years ago, jokingly, I can get into heaven because I gave birth to a son. I’ve done all I need to do in this life. ;)

I was drawn to this because of Chris Wu. : ) This is about as far as I can go in horror. It wasn’t too scary and the story got stronger as it went along. I will be on board for S2.

I knew only a little about ghost brides so I appreciate the research you did for us. At the same time it’s disturbing to be reminded that women in a lot of cultures weren’t valued for much more than being servants and conduits of male heirs. :’(
