Because of his clothes. Like he dressed in bright colours, in a very extravagant way, very different from the other 5 characters. So I don't know how it started, but someone might have mentioned it while it aired, and soon everyone in the comment section, began referring to him as peacock lol. In fact when he was first shown here, so many people in this comment section also said our peacock is back, haha!

Suis are no friends of ML. They do want to kill him any chance they get. But its like their main enemy is the royal regime, hence everyone that support the royal regime, are their enemies. Weis again very complicated. In yesterday's episode it was revealed that it was not ML's uncle Wei Yan who tried to kill him in that battle, but the soldiers were sent by Wei Yan's son Wei Xuan. But ML thinks his uncle tried to kill him.

No external enemies in the novel. They are fighting amongst themselves. Factions/ministers fighting with each other. Royal family members fighting amongst themselves. Rebels and soldiers of the same country fighting against each other. No different country scenario here, pure palace politics.
I saw the preview of the famous copper coin Guasha scene, and they did away with the blindfold, ahem* ahem*! Am I complaining? NOPE. Will FL complain later on? MIGHT.

Prince Changxin is somehow related to the royal family, a cousin of the previous emperor. He is vying for the throne, wants power. He has two son- Sui Yuanhuai/Qi Min and Sui Yuanqing. He is from the same country, he is a warlord.
Can some kind soul tell me which chapter is this bath scene plzzz? 🤭🥵https://x.com/scenerybie/status/2032313120702791733?s=46
Novel chapter? Or episode, this should be in today's episode. Also this isn't a bath scene, its a treatment scene, but who cares, we got what we wanted, lol.

Yeah yeah I get you that's a common trope. Though in My page, it was purely business oriented about the pads, and ML was shown as a very progressive person. No I completely understand what you mean. Its just I like the trope, you might not, its just difference in perception.

For now, there is just one rebellious war lord, that is Prince Changxin or Sui Family. They are not against Weis as such. They are against the royal regime. Prince Changxin is vying for the throne, for more power. Wei Family has always been the military family along with Xie Family (ML's father's family), that is why they are considered enemies, because Wei and Xie are supposed to protect the royal regime by fighting wars. If the Suis are able to defeated the military families, the royal regime will get weakened, and hence Suis can achieve success.
I'm seriously so confused of what a trashy episode we had today, that scene was so poorly written, it's like such…
You are entitled to your opinion, I am not agreeing or disagreeing with it. But just two things, missing her friend's story, might harm you in the long run, because she is directly connected to the palace politics, and what is going to happen later. Like its not a spin off all the stories connect together later. My Page in the 90s, the ML's profession was the CEO of a sanitary napkin company. Plus the set up was in the 90s, hence maybe.
Prince Changxin is somehow related to the royal family, a cousin of the previous emperor. He is vying for the throne, wants power. He has two son- Sui Yuanhuai/Qi Min and Sui Yuanqing. They are the one rebelling currently, the grain issue, upcoming war like situation all because of them. The present emperor of the country is a son of the previous emperor, brother of the crown prince who died 17 years back.
Okay from here, read only if you are okay with SPOILER. This is hinted but not explicitly said.
Qi Min is the son of the crown Prince, Prince Changde who died along with ML's father in the war 17 years back. Qi Min's mother, the crown princesses died in the fire in the palace, and Qi Min was presumed dead as well, but he was saved and taken to Prince Changxin's house where his first wife and son had died. Qi Min was replaced with his elder son. Qi Min was badly burnet with scar on his face, and has taken multiple surgeries to have his skin back. He is also a little weak due to that. He is the legitimate heir of the throne. He and Qian Qian have a son called Bao'er.
- he told her he’s leaving (but he told her from the beginning) - she said sign the divorce paper so of course…
This was an illogical couple's tiff, they both are not even angry at each anymore later, girl is even waiting for him to come back, guy is ashamed of the wound in front of his subordinates lol. Just an argument in heat of the moment.
- he told her he’s leaving (but he told her from the beginning) - she said sign the divorce paper so of course…
He should have first told her that he he has enemy, whom he has to kill. Then he could have told her that he doesn't want to leave, because he likes her. Then asked her if she is willing to wait for him for a year. Then kissed her. He disrupted the sequence. Girl has waited so many times for him to say he is not going forever, she even asked him one episode prior, but he kept quiet, she might have thought that this was one sided, and the fake marriage is ending. At the end I feel, she is too vulnerable at that moment, she did not like the forced kiss 2 times, when he is still leaving her anyway.
I just got this feeling that Deng Kai threw his entire heart and soul into this role and he's gonna leave me **devastated**.…
He has always been excellent. In The Wanted Detective, though it was not such a complicated character, but his screen presence was excellent and there were around 5 other main characters, still he came out so different. But here, he has got the opportunity to play a complex character, and he is acing it. Just in few episodes and with limited screen time, my man is already the best. He deserves so much more.
In fact when he was first shown here, so many people in this comment section also said our peacock is back, haha!

You're welcome.
