As rumoured earlier, its now confirmed- according to National TV Drama Monthly Report statistics in August 2026—The Lament Of Autumn (玉簟秋) starring Cheng Lei & Xu Ruohan has been officially increased from 38 to 40 episodes!

Absolutely. I agree. I did try once to change his name here, but they rejected it. Its really bad. Even internationally people use Cheng Lei, very rarely people use Ryan Cheng, I think only some people in MDL do, because his name is written like that here, otherwise in international social media platforms everyone goes with Cheng Lei.

The Lament of Autumn is part of the dramas that are scheduled to be showcased in Mango Investment Conference on on 17th September. Hence its likely that the drama will not release on the rumoured 10th September date.
Rumours suggest the drama date is still somewhere in October.
