I know. Just because other people are dumb doesn't mean these two don't know the dangers. At least Soong. But I still give it to the fictional plot here that they are supposed to know somewhat what they are doing (they just have an intentional fantasy vs reality issue but that is a different topic). But the point was that these two surely would not shove a scalpel in there. They are kinksters, not insane. A thermometer is at least intened and made for rectal insertion, even if it's still not the most ideal and savest sex toy.
But it is definitely part of medical kink play. And therefore I am assuming that there might even be thermomenters that are save or especially made for kink play. And since First has other sex toys he might as well have that too.

EXACTLY and that was the whole point of that scene. There are many of such little educational moments in this drama but people don't get it and then call it unrealistic and bad writing. It pisses me off tbh... This drama is especially realistic about the sex, the experimenting with kinks, emotional stuff.. And that is why it's so 'unaesthetic' for some here cause many people are more used to the stylised cleaned up pretty version of sex and the human emotions .-.

I am one of the few people who actually has fun and is invested and is FOLLOWING the plot 🤷‍♂️ (you not understanding the plot strings, doesn't mean there is no plot. also reminder that this is the genre: mystery, it is supposed to be a puzzle)

Some of you guys here have some weird expectations you are looking for the drama doesn't intend to do. Just go with the flow, maybe watch some interviews of the cast, instead of putting every minute on a holy scale. Yes there are comedy and satirical bits. Yes every couple has a different vibe, tone and aesthetics and style (that's intentional). Yes there are some serious topics being discussed here if you open your eyes, ears and brain to it. But it's not all serious 100% of the time. I am not vibing with all the comedy moments here but I just shrug that off and continue watching. Some of the cringe and sex fail moments are kind of educational on how sex is not all perfect and hot all the time. That there sometimes are miscommunications and not everything is fine by just agreeing on a safe word.

I guess for people who never got in touch with just the idea of kinks and the way the sex work industry works. It's all too new and hard to understand what's going on. But the drama is kind of here to talk about that too.

I am talking about thai laws. Of course it is in the open THAT is the double standard issue here. That it obviously exists and being practiced but in front of the law and in many peoples minds it is a taboo. As Porsche said in ep2 (quoting literally the law) it is illegal to advertise sex work and can send you to jail just for that. Which opens the option for Porsche to blackmail Jump (aka opens options for making sex workers vulnerable and potential victims with no protection). I have seen docus about police being present in the districts too. But it's more a voluntary thing or being there to prevent any kind of escalation that would look bad. If you check the two episodes again, there are news headlines being quoted about stuff like that. That even the police steals money from sex workers.

I (nor the creators) did not say that they want to expose anything. The point of the drama is to make it more visible, to make it more acceptable to talk about sex and sex work. Positive as well as negative. That's what the actors and creators say in interviews.

Pizza dude is literally emotionally manipulating First for gifts and money. He's playing reverse psychology by pretending he doesn't want money but love, to get more money / gifts out of it in the end with a stronger bond. Have you not seen the playboyys talking about it in their little group (end of ep1)? Or the preview for episode 3 where he asumably kidnaps and assaults him to blackmail his father? There is no emotionality working because it's kinda fake and one sided....

These scenes are not solely here to make you horny or not, they have a purpose.... either characterization or display of peoples relationships.
First jerking off at the party because they got Zouey the sex worker, tells you that he's a bit of a sex addict getting horny over everything.
Zouey only being able to jerk off to art but can't do it with humans, tells you that he maybe some kind of ace but with a specific kink.
Jump jerking off at the memories of Porsche dominating him, tells you he's discovering his sub side + he's into Porsche (who is his boss).


And yes before you ask, that's the plot. The whole deal of Playboyy is to talk about the taboo topics of "sex" and "sex work". Which should not be a taboo since it's part of our daily lives. But making it into something nobody dares to talk about, criminals and other dangers have room to spread without resistance nor victims getting help (Nant disappeared in the sex industry, an industry which Thailand denies it's existence and even criminalizes it. Also mentioned twice in the two episodes by now)

I 100% agree.
The community on her can't take it when something is not the same old over and over again.
No new plots, styles, diversity, different humor etc. And oh no, not to forget that sex is evil and dirty. A bit dumb when people tune in on the drama ABOUT the diversity of sex , pros and cons about sex work, and then complain that there is a lot of sex in the drama and then even refuse to see the plot. I wonder if these people even know what plot is, what that word means...

That he's now here to fulfill their mothers dream instead of him after he had to endure it and fight for it. He does not know that Sprite doesn't like it at all. He also does not know that Sprite is the reason he is in hospital, because the attackers were after Sprite not Zee. But Sprite knows so he's in for it out of guilt too.
