I've just watched the trailer and I have to say that, as someone who's been married to the same guy for nearly 26 years, that you can't CHOOSE who to love with your whole heart. That goes for gender, race, religion.....NONE of that matters when you genuinely love someone with every bit of you.
Sure, they might drive you to the point where you want to bury them after repeatedly hitting them in the face with a large brick....but they also make you feel like you are THE most wonderful person in the world. They can make you feel like crap, but also like you can do anything.
Me and my husband have been through some seriously heavy bad times, I know we'll have more - that's life. But we've also had some amazingly great times. Times we've cried together, times we've laughed together. Times we've made the other cry (a LOT) and times we've made the other laugh (also a LOT).
We have contemplated divorcing once, a very long time ago, thanks to his parents being.....ahem....unpleasant people to me and my parents. But we didn't because we realised there was no one else we'd rather be with. Even if we had, I doubt I'd have found someone like him again - if there is such a thing as soulmates......I'm married to mine. Sometimes the person that makes you the most miserable, can also make you the most happy - and, really, I think that's all we can ever truly hope for in love. A partner in crime.....
Couples that don't last are the ones who want the fairytale and, HONESTLY, that doesn't exist in the real world. So the girl should accept the guy who drives her mad but also makes her laugh in equal measure; the one who loves her no matter what - just as she loves him.....whichever guy that is. But that's just my thoughts.
PLEASE, for the love of GOD, if you're going to copy the Korean version (which this trailer implies you are) then MAKE her pick the the Ji Hoo character over the Jun Pyo one....(Hua Ze Lei over Dao Ming Si) because, honestly, my heart won't take another blow like that drama delivered in the form of SLS.

Thank you for being so kind about my list. It's amazing how we all love the drama and we all have the different versions in a slightly different order. But for me it's wonderful because it shows how no one is the same and I find that so reassuring, can you imagine how boring the world would be if we were all alike and liked or disliked the same things? My stars it would be a borefest, right? lol!
I actually still like Kim Hyung Joong and feel a bit sorry for him; despite the girl who accused him going to prison and proof surfacing that he was innocent of her accusations, his career is still only stuttering back into life right now. As for Playful Kiss, at the time I think he was cast because of his character Ji Hoo in Boys Over Flowers (another drama that's been done a TON of times); Ji Hoo was the Second Lead that inflicted the worst and most pandemic outbreak of SLS that dramaland has ever seen, and so putting KHJ as the main lead in Playful Kiss was a master stroke.
I think the cast was really strong (though the mum character was another nut - but still had a long way to go to beat the nutjob in the 2012 Japanese version); but the script was APPALLINGLY bad.
I've actually got through Say That You Love Me......along with Miss in Kiss and the movies I think it will be the other one I WON'T be watching again. So those three being the bottom ones is entirely right for me. lol!

There's another you might like - it's a remake of Always (aka Always Only You with So Ji Sub). It's called Sadece Sen and it was wonderful. I cried as much as with the Korean original and it's equally my favourite with the original....maybe even edges it slightly as it has very much less melodramatic in the final quarter of the film.

Oh I got so mad at Gii over that friend of theirs who was dying! He chases Takumi no matter what, but the other kid couldn't do the same for someone HE loved?! So what if he skipped school for a day? Gii regularly broke the rules with Takumi in the next movie by having him stay over in his private room (or it might've been the one after) but that's okay? Ugh, he could be so hypocritical sometimes. lol!
Oh no, I would NEVER hate you - each to their own right? If we all agreed lordy but the world would be boring! lol! Plus there's no point watching something you're uncomfortable with. Besides, I do take your point about HIStory 2: Right or Wrong. I don't think it would've been so uncomfortable in places if they'd had a younger actor who was a little more comfortable with the kissing; as it was it was a little....awkward to watch. Also I think it was only 10 years between Shi Yi Jie and Fei Sheng Zhe.
But I take your point and I think it's also a factor if the younger partner is very mature in their outlook and/or the older partner is very young. Sam Taylor-Wood and her husband have a 23 year age gap and yet they're blissfully happy with 2 kids. So it's really down to the individuals I think (and that they're consenting adults too of course). I have form though - my husband is 5 years older than me and my late uncle was 16 years older than my aunt when they married. So I do see both sides of the fence on this one.
Certainly with Right or Wrong it could be awkward to watch - so much so, that I tended to skip the kissing parts when watching it again after it was subbed. It was just toe-curling and not in a good way. ;) lol!

RJ_Jacob101 -- Thank you. I think the most serious case in point with the examples you've given was Addicted (aka Heroin). The two leads are STILL banned from appearing together in public and, because of their very pro LGBT stance after the webdrama released, they were banned from EVERYTHING for two years in China.
I think Xu Wei Zhou went on a singing tour round Thailand, but I think it's only been recently that Huang Johnny has returned to acting properly (I'm currently watching him in The Love Knot: His Excellency's First Love and he's BRILLIANT in it). I also understand that Xu Wei Zhou is going to be playing the Second Lead in a Chinese drama to be released later this year.
But their careers were basically destroyed by the censors for NO other reason than they were whole-heartedly behind the Addicted project and backed the production and crew up when they refused to end the second season tragically as the censors wanted (which is why it was cancelled and banned).
I understand TianQi's point and of course no one wants to hear others being nasty about their country.....but, as you point out, China is VERY negative to the LGBT community. The fact that Yi Ping is now 'president for life' with no hope of removing him or his underlings via democratic means is worrying. I'd feel the same if similar were to happen here in the UK - it's NOT a democracy when someone finds a way to be in charge forever.
