Yeah, in the end, the man literally became no one. And this whole “abolishing the monarchy” plotline is something I’ve already seen before in the K-drama The Last Empress. I really didn’t expect — or want — to see the exact same thing happen here again.

I really can't understand how people give this drama 10/10. Could it be that they have never watched any other drama before? 🤌🤔❓

Thank you for your comment too. I’ve been watching K drama rarely for 4.5 yrs. Leaving the acting aside, for such a strong and promising theme, the plot was surprisingly weak. Honestly, it barely even had a proper plot.

The beginning wasn’t that problematic, and it actually had a lot of potential. But the ending was incredibly unsatisfying. The drama couldn’t even maintain half of the potential it built up at the start. Everything slowly fell apart, and in the end, it felt like nothing meaningful was delivered.

Seriously, what was that fvcking ending? Ugh….

But at one point, I thought I have been a little biased while writing this review because I really love this type of slight romance and mutual understanding between the couple. And I don’t think the low rating is because of Chinese viewers either, since it already has a 6.8 on Douban. But here, honestly, I still feel like 8.1 is not enough for this drama.
