I have watched a lot of crime dramas and I've like most of them, and this is not an exception...

Even though the story isn't super unique you don't really feel bored, as if you've seen it before. What this show does have, that a lot of crime dramas don't, is the focus on the feelings that everyone have.
The victims, family and friends of the people that has left the world and even sometimes the murderers feelings.
What made them commit the crime?? What were the victims doing before they died and what did they do that caused them to become the victims??

The fact that this drama went into that territory and not only focused on the crime solving itself, is what made this show in my opinion.

The acting from the main cast is really great Ueto Aya did a great job of being a "pure" newbie without being too naive and slowly growing as the series progress.
Though I did feel that in some instances some of the guest characters could be a bit stiff in the acting but nothing that bothered me to much.

The music was great, the soundtrack fit really well on the scenes the were playing on and I could see myself listening to it on my spare time.

As for rewatch value, I always find it to go down a bit since you've already watched it... especially if the drama has a lot of twists. Zettai Reido does not really have any huge twists so I feel like you could watch this again after some time and still enjoy it to the fullest.

Overall it is a quite average drama, nothing to special but nowhere nere boring. It has it's moment, and I had no trouble binging the first season, so I would recommend this one to lovers of crime dramas ^^

It's the first K-Drama I finished and I'm not disappointed. While the plot may not be new the cast did a great job with the acting so it did not get boring. And even though it is quite a common plot you could not predict how it will end up so if that is something that is putting you off, give this one a chance. It did get a bit dragging at some point but that is not the shows fault in itself, but rather something that I have found that many, if not all K-Drama have a problem with. I personally think that K-Dramas are a bit to long, both in episode count and in episode length. American shows can have long running seasons because the way they are built, but for K-Drama, and J-Drama that has a lot of information in its episodes, seasons with more than 12 episodes tends to get a bit dragging. Same with the length of the episode which in my opinion should not be over 45-50 minutes unless it's a special episode or something similar. And even though I felt it in this drama I still managed to finish it without problems, so good job for that. The music is great, some soundtracks have but stuck in my head for days and that should say something. As for rewatch value it does go down quite a bit because this is a show that thrives with that you don't know who did what and what is going to happen.I would still recommend this one with all of my heart because this a really good show and I would definitely watch a second season if it would happen.

Cheese deluxe, unrealistic but still a GREAT watch.

'The people at MER only have one job. Leaving a scene with no casualties'

This drama is about a new medical team going to accident sites saving peoples lives with the ideal to not let anyone die and the show gives you not a dull moment doing this. Even though some scenes are very cheesy you can't help to get excited and jump for joy as they do their job and cooperating with people around them.

Of course, like many dramas like this, it's not easy. In the beginning no one is trusting them and think they are in the way but as the show goes on people can't help but to be swayed by the main doctor of the team: Kitami Kota.

The same goes for the team itself. Not every member want to be there but as the show goes on, they grow as medical personal and can't help but to admire Kitami-sensei as he does everything in his power to help the people around him that need help, no matter what. This reckless behaviour is a high risk but high reward way of thinking and would probably not work in real life, but that why we can truly enjoy it here

Every episode comes with new excitements, we get to see people grow and change their way of thinking. Well, most of them at least. Like many dramas out there, there is villains in form of politicians that wants the MER team disband for politics, which makes the work harder for the MER-team for no reason. Asian dramas loves childish politicians as villains after all.

I love medical dramas that are not just stuck at a hospital. Code Blue and Dr. DMAT comes to mind, so if you like this one and haven't seen the others I would recommend those whole heartedly, BUT they are heavier than this one.

Cheese deluxe or not, this was a great watch and I'm excited for the movie that's coming out. And I would mind more season of this show. We need more medical dramas that puts us at the scene, let's hope for more in the future.

A worthy sequel

Kimura Takuya does it again! I don't think I've seen a single bad drama that he's been in.

As for the drama itself, it was a worthy sequel. It had to be cut because of covid but they managed do make it work and you can't really notice that they had to cut 3 episodes except for the fact that it didn't have the usual 10 episodes but just 7. The episodes themselves follow the 1 case/episode and you get to see them protect a lot of people with different needs making it not a boring watch. But you also know what to expect so it's not a drama where you need to but your entire focus on, making it a chill drama even with it's action focus. A drama great for binging but also a drama where you can watch an episode here and there and still be able to catch on what's going on.

There's some nice an subtle character development. There's a hint of romance but it doesn't take over which I like. Shimazaki and his son has a better relationship than in the first season making it an endearing watch as well.

Shimazaki and Takanashi are their usual bickering selves, like brothers, which adds the comedy to the drama.

The music fits the scenes well and the main theme is well recognisable and is a nice tune to listen to.

The show ends with an opening for a season 3 which I would gladly watch. The re-watch value for this one is high since pretty much every episode works as a stand alone, so you can watch your favourite cases without feeling like you have to watch everything from the start.

Anyhow this is a drama that doesn't need that much brain power but isn't boring. And like I say in the beginning this is a worthy sequel and here's hoping for a season 3.

If the law won't help, do it yourself.

A story about people helping other people take revenge. An action packed show with stories that tugs your heartstrings combined with laughter and funny moment and a soundtrack with 80's vibes is how I would describe this show.

It starts of strong, dark cases with lots of violence but with some funny scenes to cut the heaviness. It does go downhill for me in the middle but goes back up towards the end, even if the heaviness from the beginning that I really liked never truly came back. It went from individual cases from different characters to cases involving the team, which isn't a bad thing per say, but I really liked learning the different stories and then see the team help them take revenge. That and seeing the gratitude after the case is done. That being said, the cases involving the team aren't less dark and gruesome, but you can feel the shift in the show.

The acting was superb the whole way through. Lee Je Hoon is great as the main lead and Esom did a really good job as Kang Ha Na (a character that for some reason got a lot of hate, which I do not get). Though all the actors did a great job Cha Ji Yeon really stood out. What a great performance.

I really liked the soundtrack on this one. When the synth part comes on, you know you are in for a ride. A taxi ride. (I'll show myself out)

Though the show had its up and downs I think it ended on a really good note which is why I still rated it quite high. And since it ended with an open ending, here's hoping for a second season!!

This review may contain spoilers
Not sure if what is said here would be considered spoilers so I have put the warning just in case.

I have watched a decent amount of medical dramas, both Japanese and Korean and most of the time, even if they are really good, they are not what I was after or expected in a medical drama.

Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim is not on of them. This drama IS what I've been looking for in a medical drama. It has the cases, it also deals with the characters themselves and is has a good ratio between the two.
It also have political power play but that feels kinda standard for dramas ^^

I'll admit the first episode did put me off a bit cause it felt like this was gonna be a romantic roller-coaster which is not what I'm after in show like this, but I'm happy I decided to continue.

The cast is amazing. They all make their characters believable, flaws and all. What I really like about the characters is that they all have flaws that makes sense. All the worries they have are understandable and they make mistakes that anyone can make even if they now what they are doing.

The human bond that the show focuses on are basically every type of bond you can think of. Family bond between patients and their families, romantic bonds, friendships and more. Everyone at Doldam Hospital are a family and we get to see how they become a family as we watch the show progress.
My favourite bond/relationship is between Master Kim and Dr Yoon Seo Jung. They have that father-daughter bond that I love to see in shows. Master Kim is strict and he doesn't give any of the doctors special treatment but you can tell that he has a soft spot for her even if he doesn't always show it. I found myself hoping for scenes with the two of them just to see that bond that they share.

My least favourite is the romance between Yoon Seo Jung and Kang Dong Joo. For several reasons. I'm not a huge fan of romance if the shows doesn't need it and this one doesn't. I did warm up to it later on thanks to the chemistry between the actors but the characters, mostly Kang Dong Joo shows some unhealthy responses to it IMO.
He kinda forces himself on her, not in a sexual way, but she's says she's not interested and he keeps pushing. He also becomes jealous and is kinda overprotective when he sees another guy show some sort of interest in her, and that happens even before they actually become an item. It is probably meant to be cute and endearing and Yoon Seo Jung doesn't seem to mind that much but if this was a real relationship that is some serious red flags if you ask me.

Best character is Master Kim's smile XD
Jokes aside, Han Seok Kyu, who plays Master Kim has a really nice smile and when Master Kim is happy I become happy cause it's so infectious. One of my favourite scenes is when Yoon Seo Jung agrees to something and Master Kim shows a big smile while bursting out a happy OKAY!! ^^

I feel like this is one of the few KDramas that has ost that isn't a song but an instrumental ost.
The one called "Hope of Hospital" is really good and when you hear it you know that everything is gonna be all right ^^

This one has a really good rewatch value since it isn't a mystery, even if you've seen it you can enjoy everything as if you're watching it for the first time.

This might be my favourite medical Drama after the Jdrama Code Blue, I recommend this one with my entire being.

A story about friendship and the troubles of everyday life

This is a perfect show for you who don't want to think too much and just relax while watching.

When it first came out it was very hyped so I checked it out and I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't super into it and even dropped it after the first episode. But I gave it a second chance after a few month and I grew fond of it, so if you didn't like it at first, give it another chance ^^ Granted it took me a few episodes but watching one here and there is perfect for this kind of show if you don't feel like binging it.

Now what the show excels at is the friendship between the characters. It's not an overdramatic show so there aren't really any twists and turns to catch you off guard and I really like that. Not all shows needs to be surprising and full of twists. They all joke around with each other and care for each other when something has happened. The band that they have together is also really fun to watch and it's a great way to use the shows soundtrack.

Though, the isn't perfect. It lacks in the medical department in my opinion. I'm not expecting it to have cases like Dr. Romantic or anything like that but it felt that the show went maybe a tad much on the happy side of things. Now this is a happy show so I don't expect a lot of sadness but the show it meant to feel a bit realistic (I think) so it could use a bit of sadness. It does bait us quite often. There's a lot of instances where everything is looking grim and the episode ends. Then when the next has started everything worked out ok, and sometimes we don't even get to see what happened but only the aftermath after a day time skip or something similar.

When the show does have the sad ending the case, it is very impactful and I caught myself crying a few times.

Now this show is renewed for season 2 (and 3?) so I hope that they will fix the issues I had with this season for the next ones ^^
