I do not understand people who didn't like the ending of this drama, it wasn't about flowers & cute bunny rabbits.... the ending fit the genre, all of those people dying is what made this drama more poignant & impactful to me.
Two of the most moving moments for me were not necessarily the deaths of some of our beloved characters (Paksa/Soo/Safari etc) but for me were Safari's belated confession to Jin Sook and then her telling Paksa that she knew he was a cop....those 2 scenes just touched my heart.
Just finished it and what can I say I loved this drama. Paksa saranghe. All the characters were so well drawn out & I have no qualms with the ending it fit with the premise. I pretty much agree with mysecretsoul's review.
Me too after seeing her in Cruel City I thought she was in her 40's 0_0

I like it even though theres no eye candy lol its a quick watch too I have seen 30 eps already. I like the characters of the mom (Bok Hee) & her kids the best they are really funny - the daughter is played by Se Na from Rooftop Prince.
Oh & I should warn you it has makjang tendencies & there are several evil female characters in this that you will want to strangle lol
such a great drama, watched the eps non stop. and also for a 50 episode drama the pace of the plot is quite quick…
Totally agree started this a few days ago & cant seem to stop watching on ep 23 now & dreading when I will be up to date as will have to wait for episodes :(
I dont buy the whole great one true love between King & JOJ otherwise why would he go on to have kid with Choi Suk Won (who is the one who renounced his beloved)
Also he wouldnt have ordered her to die in first place. He could have given up his throne but he didnt want to lose his power.
He strikes me as a bit of power mad lothario like Henry VIII & JOJ couldnt have been that nice as portrayed in this drama, Im sure she was way more vicious & conniving. I wish I could go back on time & see the real story.

You're welcome. Im watching an old drama, Beautiful Days & several of the currently airing dramas too, how about you?
I NEVER re-watch dramas but I think Smile You, The Princess Man & Reply 1997 would be my exceptions to the rule.
