Roseville, CA--but a New Yauwker till I croak!
On Lonely Enough to Love Sep 4, 2020
This lead actress isn't very nice--not just in the beginning but still after 4 epis. She's always suspicious, angry, and incredibly bossy. She's making it very hard for me to want kind, caring Kang Woo to end up with her. He deserves someone who will appreciate and really love him.

The way i interpreted it was that the family at the end of the episodes were to show that while they didn't have…
Yes, thanks. I think they were able to live a hardworking but simple, happy life in contrast to the struggles we witnessed of our couples with so many more advantages.

Realistic, mature theme dramas are often few and far between. I loved this one and will addit to my customized list. Did I miss something or can anyone explain the family story at the end of each epi? Who were they, and what was the point of featuring them each time?

The song in ep1's intros is 金池 - 3030 (电视剧“三十而已”插曲) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVpV4FP5w2A
Thank you so much! I'm going to share this with a friend who also wanted to know. <3

Did writernim have a fight with the director before penning the final epi? It was all going great, like a 2020 version of You're Beautiful with a little of Coffee Prince thrown in then... wth was that final episode? They left everything hanging. I'm so pissed right now. Cute all the way through then total disaster!

Frankly, I couldn't understand what everyone saw in Ji Hyun. I thought the most natural, easy-to-talk-to (and the prettiest, for that matter) member was Min Jae followed by Ga Heun. I would have found Eui Dong's job the most fascinating of all. Would have asked many questions and wanted to see him working and discuss it.

I can't imagine people falling in love if they're so awkward that they have nothing to say to each other. When I've fallen in love, we sat for hours and then went home and talked for another hour on the phone. You want to share everything and nothing with that person. Does anyone else wonder if they discuss real life issues--their values--or if we mainly see the giggling because they never get down to talking about their life ethics like their religious beliefs, politics, etc. It's nice to have fun and be attracted to someone, but if you don't share common values, it's not remain a happy, meaningful, long-lasting relationship for long.

Every epi is tragically and wretchedly heartbreaking. Yet it's so touching and beautiful at the same time. By the end of each watch, I'm left breathless with sadness and hope... Beautiful! It's so heartwarming to have the idealists overcome corruption and be the winners-- especially in these politically charged times

Right!? That's a pervasive problem for most Cdrama in the modern setting. Seems trying to hit some episode quota,…
Not to mention the loooong intros where they play out an entire song every epi. How about when they freeze and rewind a scene just watched in the middle 1 or even more times during an epi or freeze frame and play music and run a repeat mini scene right when you're getting into something to make sure they break up your focus. All time-wasters and so annoying! Aigoo! (Need to learn the Chinese counterpart for aigoo! LOL)

The cast, characters, and situations were all entertaining and well worth watching...the problem was that we were watching too long. For me, as usual, this Cdrama went on and on. Movement forward in the middle and end too often felt forced and draggy for me, as I lost patience. At that point, the production seemed to be trying to fulfill some contract obligation re the required number of epis instead of appreciating viewers' commitment to a well-told, progressive story.

Title Are We in Love? Spoiler
Sung Hoon is my bias. I wanted to love this film. It was terrible--made no sense to me. Why did he bark at her non-stop? There was no evidence to explain his reasons for...anything! Book or no book, why would she fall for someone who verbally abused her, obviously for quite a while?

I think the acting, directing, atmosphere were all very compelling...but the storyline was so confusing to me throughout, I felt like the motivation driving each character was obscure and difficult to understand, and explanations only seemed to complicate it even more for me.

I love long, family dramas and always look forward to them, but I'm dropping this one. The meat scenes make me gag. Although I know meat is a big thing for Koreans, for pescatarians or vegetarians seeing all that is just nauseating. I would think they would be a little more sensitive to that and pick a different industry to focus on. Another reason is that, I tried, but I really can't stand the lead female actress. Her face and facial expressions just annoy me no end. :-(
