I was lucky enough that i got a chance to see this in the cinema. I always love Koreeda's work (especially Still Walking & After the Storm) and Shoplifters is no exception. It was subtle, full of warmth, yet so powerful in the end. It made me think about what will happen to this 'family' next, because they were too real for me. I love it. Props to the amazing actors: Ando Sakura, Matsuoka Mayu, Lily Franky and the late Kirin Kiki :")

Sato Takeru is Hot!!!

I was curious because this movie got so much positive reviews (imdb 8,2, rotten tomatoes 100%) and finally i watched it today at the cinema!
Maybe it's the most unique low budget movie i've seen..
Behind all the absurdity, it was really funny and the ending scene was heartwarming.
And..If you plan to watch this movie, it's better if you don't know any idea about it (don't watch the trailer bcs the trailer did not do justice to this gem)!

That was..very sick.

still the best, for me. This drama holds a special place in my heart..
and it's a kind of show that really gets better towards the end.

I watch her in "Thank You" alongside Gong Hyo Jin, she did very good.
Impressive child actress.
i'd hope she'll be back in the future..

well deserved! It's near the end of the year but no other drama can surpass this masterpiece, yet, for me.
i miss this Lee Ji An & Park Dong Hoon, a lot!
