Oh yes, i haven't seen Sego-don yet (because the number of episodes scares me..), but i knew she was starring in it. And nice to know she played a different type of character there.
Yeah, i admit that sometimes her roles doesn't really 'clicked' for me either..sometimes there's something weird with her acting (or the characters she plays?) but i can't seem to point it out. And i appreciate your honest comment here :)
After seeing her in "Woman" and a movie called "My Man" my heart was sold, and i've watched most of her movies. i really adore her bold choices of characters. I mean, she's not the type of actress who plays safe. If you watch "Woman" in the future, please let me know your opinions about it :)
Well, I also dropped this drama but not because of mushrooms lol. Truth is I love mushrooms so no issues there.…
Hi, i'm currently watching the 4th episode, and yes, i do feel the same. The female character is a bit odd from the first episode, but it is not something that annoys me enough to drop it. Furthermore, the story itself is also..weird (too much mushrooms everywhere!).
I'm a fan of Nikaido fumi (the female lead) and i love her other works, mostly movies and some of her dramas such as "Woman" or "Mondai no Aru Restaurant". As a fan, i can say that this kind of "innocent girl in love" role doesn't really suit her (well, the scriptwriter is also at fault, IMO). She has played various types of roles and i've noticed that Nikaido fumi usually at her best when doing these kind of roles: weird, mysterious, freaky characters.
They sure wrapped it up nicely, but the last episode feels like it wasn't "SKY Castle" because it was very strange seeing everyone is so good to each other lolll
Anyway it was a very good suspenseful show, and full of moral lessons. 9/10 Coach Kim FTW!!
Haha, they definitely have a lot of originality, and I also prefer the fact they're shorter in length and easier…
indeed, "Tremble all you want" is impressive. It's odd, it's very quirky, nothing special in the plot, but the greatest thing in the movie is how Mayu played her character. And i've read that she won several awards because of this role. A very interesting movie :)
i'm a japanese drama beginner, i don't watch jdramas regularly but i love them because of their originality and quirkiness (and also the less episodes & duration, the better for me). and i plan to watch more jdramas in the future!
I watched "Mondai no aru restaurant" last year and i found Mayu Matsuoka impressed me so much (for Mayu fans, make sure you don't miss her movies : "Tremble all you want", "Chihayafuru 2-3") i just wanna add that :) i also loove Fumi Nikaido (i don't know if she's considered as rookies or not) but she's one of the most versatile actor i've ever seen and i always enjoy her acting.
the movie was beautiful! watched it a while ago in a japanese movie festival. heartwarming, but heartbreaking at the same time. I'm always a fan of Koreeda's work and i hope Shoplifters will win this category.
This is more a slice of life, slightly philosophic, drama than a sports drama. The main topic evolve around the…
i agree, the presence of this female lead did not affect the whole story, or the other characters...she shouldn't have been there. And.. IMO, there's too much fanservice though. In 1 hour and 44 minutes there was like 4-5 scenes where Mackenyu went shirtless (I'm not actually complaining but..) i just thought that it was a bit too much.

you did a right thing, ye suh!
she'll be starring in 4 movies this year! AAH! *inaudible scream*
8,5 for the movie and + 0,5 because of Gong hyo jin (yes, i am that biased, can't help it)..
