I so agree with your version of the story. The writer did explain that the error started when Marco stabbed Sejoo…
I know this is a fantasy drama, and I love fantasy dramas, but there's always something in this drama that just doesn't feel convincing. For me, as long as a drama is internally consistent, I would be ok with it, and it doesn't have to be realistic. But for this one, explanations feel forced because they seem to be out of the blue and it's kind of like "the writer says it's like that so it is" or "the director wants him to die so he dies" and then make up a reason at the spot to justify it. Idk, it just feels off to me.

It still sounds weird to me cuz they're trying to explain the supernatural elements in the story scientifically which doesn't work. A game is a game and even if there's an error, it shouldn't cause real people to disappear, get hurt or die and come back to life as npcs. That's unrealistic and it would have been better if they explained it with supernatural reasons rather than trying to make it seem like it's possible in real life. That's why I proposed witchcraft as a more legit reason.

I thought I would only live for a romantic triangle like I liked with SKJ in Are You Human too...my heart skipped…
Haha I can see the similarity between this triangle and the one in AYHT. Loving both too!

I only watched episode 1, and I'm still thinking whether to continue..how's the writing, plot wise and character…
I just finished bingewatching the first four episodes and I'm hooked. There were some parts that cracked me up, and the leads have chemistry. Plot-wise it's a little bit cliche but still quite engaging and I'm looking forward to how things unravel.

The original drama summary was written based on the book (from which the drama is adapted), but after the drama…
There's now a restriction in China that historical dramas cannot have time travel elements because apparently it's "disrespectful to history". I think some web dramas are still allowed to have time travel elements though.

I'm studying psychology, so I know what you mean. Whether it's neurological maturity or layman maturity, whether a relationship should be socially acceptable is the thing I was focusing on. That maturity being neurological doesn't change my standpoint. And I think we can agree to disagree. I was just putting my views out there to show that I have a different view that's all. Have a nice day :)

(I wasn't trying to use logical reasoning to refute you or anything, it was all just a value judgment just like your comment and all the other comments in here. Like I said in my other post, it's ok to not like age gaps.)

How is he a bug...he's the only 1 existing in the real world vs the other ppl who are not
It makes no sense but if the writer says he is then he is. *shrugs*
Just because, like every other thing that happened in this drama.

Just admit it, you guys are just not used to Kim Yoo Jung no longer being a child actress anymore. She has a baby face and we've been watching her since she was a little girl, so it doesn't dawn on people that she's all grown up now. She's the age of a college/university student, and most people at her age date and have sex with people. But I'm sure that even if she had a sexual relationship with a person close to her age, some would still find it disturbing because apparently it would be "too mature" for her. Age gap just makes things seem worse because it's like a mature adult hitting on a kid, except that's not how maturity or experience works. I know a lot of people her age who have dated far more times than a person who is 30 years old. So what's the issue then? Young women get married to older men all the time. And 18/19 years old isn't even a small age, you can get into casinos in some countries, watch R-rated movies, live alone without your family, have legal sex, get married without parental consent, etc.

What about dramas that feature two teenagers in high school then? Nobody complains about that because they have similar ages, so the thing about "19yr old are only just starting to learn about the adult world" doesn't apply. There are only so many complaints about KYJ being too young here because she's young PLUS the ML is a lot older. So what's seen as socially acceptable according to your logic would be:
1. Both leads are teenagers/young adults below mid-twenties
2. Both leads are adults above mid-twenties and have a huge age gap
This implies that a relationship between one possibly immature person and another mature person is less acceptable than two immature people, which doesn't sound right to me. Plus, I'd have to disagree that an 18-20 year old is immature. They're basically already an adult attending college or working and have probably already been in several relationships, had sex with multiple people, gone travelling alone and have tried living away from home. 19 and 24 isn't really much of a difference, probably just the difference between a college freshman and a graduate student. The only reason why 19 might seem young is because Kim Yoo Jung has a baby face.

I mean, everyone has their own opinion and all, like some people are ok with the age gap and find them cute, but some are not ok with the age gap and find it creepy. I think it's totally ok to like or not like it cuz we all have different values. But what I don't quite understand is why people who are so extremely bothered by the leads' skin ship and think it's gross are still watching this knowing they will feel disgusted. This is a romance drama and it's obviously going to show them being intimate with each other at some point, so if it's really that uncomfortable for you then why are some of you still watching this, while commenting every single time to diss the same thing over and over? If it's not your cup of tea then save your time and watch something you are ok with, you don't have to force yourself to watch it (no offence, just saying).

As a fan of the writer, this was a HUGE letdown. Instead of the plot twists serving the plot development, she sacrificed the plot development for the plot twists. Too many filler scenes and repetitive scenes of assassinating the same character over and over. Except for Jin Woo, others barely had any character development. Hee Joo feels more like a side character than a main character and it's such a big waste of the cast. Romance was underdeveloped and rushed at the end.

But the worst thing about the plot, is that all the supernatural things that happened in the game were never explained. Saying everything is a "bug" is not explaining anything. I'd rather they just said the game was not developed by Seju but found somewhere in a magical place he stumbled upon one day and the game is actually a product of witchcraft that he took in as his own creation.

Same, same! Also, press releases have mentioned that there will be more romance involved in the story compared…
Having more romance is a good thing because the movie lacked development in this aspect. In the movie, the queen became a pretty much useless character and it would've made no difference if there was no queen. Adding romance can actually make the plot more solid because it heightens the struggles regarding the male lead's identity and how he needs to protect his loved one in a dangerous palace.

I'm one of those who are actually rooting for the romance. Though I agree it shouldn't be TOO much and take away the story. I think a good balance between romance and drama is very important to me, and this drama has the potential to pull it off well.

The first time I watched a vampire movie was Twins Effect which is a Hong Kong movie. I thought it was pretty interesting and the portrayal of vampires was quite accurate. I was also a big fan of vampires in my childhood but there weren't any outstanding works that strengthened my liking. To me, Twilight was a horrible experience (sorry if this offends you lol) and I thought it was a wasted potential cuz I'd love to see a good vampire movie or TV show too.

I really want this show to get dark, I mean they killed a child so I think it has the potential to do more.
Finally a REAL historical drama that's as mature as a movie! I know there are other ones like that but this one is played by a younger cast that piques my interest. YJK as the king was so freaky in a good way. Really looking forward to seeing more real (dark) stuff.
