Nicely written article...i enjoy reading this as it bring back some memories when i was a kid. i used to enjoy the movies and series you mention above.. i do agree with you that we rarely see weak women character anymore in today's chinese series and movies and the theme is pretty much work well in the past..but my thought is because ancient series/ movies lack of character development and nowadays movie & series they focus more on charater development where the female lead that start as weak character will growth to become strong and successfull person at the end..it just my personal observation btw. Anyway i think both ancient and modern series/ movies do have their own charm and style and i enjoy both of it????

I would recommend people to watch it up to ep 14 only..the last 2 ep ruined everything..

I mostly watch lumpao and theetat scene. Not bad but not good either.

The ending give lot of question mark...what happen to the patient of ward 21A and i dont know if ji sang actually is dead or alive at the end..so confuse..bad ending..

Marathon for 2 days to complete 51 eps..Love the bromance, friendship, love story, loyalty, betrayal, etc..a complete package of good drama and 1 of my fav modern c drama list..just my cup of tea.

I love korean version queen in hyun man's. I hope the chinese version is also good.
