Can someone point out an instance of the choppy editing in any of the episodes? Have been reading comments about this but I personally don’t see it…? Lol, not trying to start anything here, just genuinely curious to see what some of you mean.

I just mentioned crying as an extreme example, but I’ll actually go back and rewatch the scene you’ve mentioned - pretty curious to see if I might view it differently now.

I’m afraid that they don't even recognize this as problematic, since it’s supposed to be romantic with him getting all hissy and needy over Uea, and in another series I would’ve totally bought it (I think it’s fun when one part gets harmlessly jealous), but taking into account Uea’s backstory King is a total red flag (for Uea) with the possessive way that he’s acting. I low key held my breath after the cake scene for King to do something to hurt Uea. Happy that he’s been just a harmless puppy so far 🥲

Was kind of thinking about the boundaries too. Like it’s okay for King to drag Uea around and breathe down his neck whenever he’s jealous, but once an ex does that (not taking about the r*pe scene, that’s obviously never OK) or a random dude even looks at Uea it’s suddenly toxic. What’s the difference? Is it okay just because it’s King, the main love interest? I would be fuming if the person I like/love constantly stopped me from doing things just because they “know better”.

I actually like his acting and how they went for a more cold and aloof approach. As not an overly emotional person myself, to me this seems more realistic than e.g. crying (nothing bad with that, but I personally perceive it as overdramatic and kinda sopey). And I mean, at some point some people just kind of shut off…

They don’t really show a lot of sex scenes after the first one, the rest is just cute cuddles and panning off camera angles.

King is 👌 he even looked good from that weird up-side-down angle while lying in Uae’s lap.

Just finished ep. 5 and don’t really get why people have been complaining (I refrained from watching it when it aired because of the bad reviews). But so far so good, even better than the average Thai BL. It’s a little bit over dramatic and the plot is unrealistic (as it usually is in BLs anyaway) but the feelings are there and the story is interesting. The only thing that bugs me is how they always just stand around stiffly and talk at each other in every other scene (but that’s on directing and not acting). The acting of the main actors isn’t bad at all, a bit rough maybe, but it’s kind of tricky too, since we as an audience can’t know for sure if some of the awkwardness is intentional or bleeds through due to lack of experience. Anyhow, the rest of the show will tell, I suppose 🤠

I hope his character will grow on me and I’ll come to think he’s fun 😊
