This was fantastic. It had its better and worse parts (for me especially eps 1-19 had a few boring bits), but it was such a blast watching their relationship evolve, especially in the last 12 episodes. Maybe the relationship isn't 100% realistic, as there aren't many conflicts between the main couple, but there are struggles, and they handle it perfectly, supporting each other all the way. For me it's more realistic than some dramas which have a forced breakups, jealousy tropes and conflicts resulting ONLY from not talking to each other.
Also I love love the way they supported each other in their careers. Maybe it wasn't specifically told, and Yu Tu made his decision on staying in aerospace industry before they got together, but due to Jing Jing being the provider for their family, he never again had to struggle with material matters. Such a rare sight in dramas, and in life as well!
The worst thing about this show I'd say is the normalization of working overtime (I'm talking especially about Yu Tu who has more of a conventional job). They did address that it's painful for the families and demanding on your health and that it was getting better over time in that industry, but still - people shouldn't be forced to work overtime and especially not every day, period. But I admit that I'm especially sensitive in that regard.
I understand that popular drama's are a little overrated on mydramalist. But 9 is a little too much for this drama.…
I agree, but at the same time I feel that we haven't gotten such a nice romcom in a while, and that might have affected the ratings. Especially now, after the badly received ending of 21 25 the people are inclined to compare the shows and give the highest rating to the more enjoyable one (based on the ending, I wouldn't be surprised if this was Business Proposal). There are a lot of shows better than BP, but based on people's enjoyment I'm not surprized about the rating.
I know the last scene of ep 11 is supposed to be hot but all I could think was "aww, how cute." Maybe because…
Yes! I'm sorry I love them but that was so awkward for me, I didn't feel the tension. The 2nd leads had much better chemistry when they went to bed, wonder what's the reason
Ok but why did he stay for 2 days in the hospital after the accident when his hand wasn't even broken? I know he's in VIP room, but in Poland, even if you had a broken limb they would discharge you right after they put you in a cast 😅
Ok so I just came here to spoil myself the ending in order to decide whether to watch it or not... I guess I'm glad I didn't start it when it was ongoing. From the comments I get a very strong Mr Queen ending vibes. Honestly, it was one of my favourite shows ever, but I don't know if joy of watching it was worth the pain of that shitty ending...
Ok, so between two "Evil" shows from 2021, Flower of Evil was definitely the one who touched my heart and kept me at the edge of my seat, whereas sadly, Beyond Evil did not. Dropped after Ep 3, with conclusion that this kind of show just isn't for me - it's too draggy, and after 3 episodes I already had a pretty good idea who the serial killer is. I can see how other people would rate it highly, but for me this isn't it, even though I wish it was.
I wish it was just a few episodes shorter. Also I feel like it would hit even harder if the situations which were portrayed were just a little less repetetive (although I understand that they wanted to get the message across, it was just a bit too much for me and in the end I kinda lost my interest). And I never say that, cause I looove romantic storylines, but the romance between young cops was unnecessary.
Very good show nonetheless! Some of the plots will definitely stick with me. I just complain because there was very little lacking for me to consider it almost perfect.
So... I was initially kinda not into watching this drama, considering all the cliches that jumped out at me from the summary, but I truly need something like this in my life right now. Will definitely be watching when there are a few more episodes. Also, my dear Seol In Ah is starring as the 2nd FL? I'm a Mr. Queen orphan, I'll take whatever I can get from its cast. Super excited!
Just watched You Drive Me Crazy, thank you for the recommendation! It was a very nice watch (although I wasn't a fan of the time skip at the end, but I can look past that)
The biggest unanswered question is - how the hell did Ji Ung manage to make the second documentary interesting when he wasn't even allowed to reveal that they were an ex-couple hahaha
That was the best possible ending I guess. It was ok but a lot of loose ends. CW and YS got a good character development…
As for the communication about why the break up happened, I believe that Yeon Su finally told that to Ung when she came after her grandma was in the hospital. She finally had the courage to admit to him that she's not feeling okay, that she's scared that she will cause another break up. That's why I believe she finally came clean before Ung that day.
But it would be definitely interesting to see the reasons for their other break ups, I mean, there were so many. But I guess we can suppose that they were very young back then and not all that honest with each other. So I was personally satisfied with their ending and I have a feeling that they did talk out all their past differences and are better people now.
I agree about Ung's dad being a bit forced, but I didn't mind all that much. But Ji Ung's character arc was nonexistent. Waste of a character. Feel similar about NJ too, near the end I skipped both of their scenes. But other parts of the show I guess made it still worth for me.
Ung's life is not that miserable as you're making it sound... he's very sucessful and have reached what he wanted,…
Also, it's not like Yeon Su magically healed his sleeping problems. Even though they're together now, he is still not completely stable in that regard as it is a process. So his sleeping habit cannot be only blamed on the breakup and wasn't healed only bc they got back together.
entire time im watching the series i am like : why is the ML's acting so good. like im not saying the others are…
I agree all the way. I watched Parasite a long time ago and don't remember it well, and I haven't seen anything else he's in, and I'm in awe. I just can't take my eyes off him. Especially when he's playing in sad scenes, my heart just breaks for the ML.
This show is everything my drama-slumped ass could ever wish for. I just feel soo good while watching it, I have butterflies all over again. I'm on ep 6 right now, and the only thing I hate is that Netflix in Poland is 4 weeks behind Korea - like I appreciate that we don't get everything after the show airs, as we used to, but what the hell!
Also I love love the way they supported each other in their careers. (I feel that it will fall over time though.)
