Insane but still watching it

I've watched up to the 9th episode and seriously I am unsure if I am sane that I continue to watch this series. From the get go the ML date rapes the FL because of the crazy jealous friend told the ML she's a prostitute. Then she doesn't report the rape gives birth to twins tries to revenge but fails then lo and behold they fall in love

Almost everyone is in an unhealthy relationship - that adulterous dad and his crazy wife , over supportive parents, aunt and friend, crazy jealous friend, and the mama's boy. To add the traitor assistant and his "friend"

Knowing all this and still I am hooked with the series. Its halfway through now I wish to see more happy moments with the leads. Their chemistry is just sizzling. The friend who owns the cafe and the half brother of the ML would look fine as a couple. That would make the crazy jeaoous friend blow hee head off. Lol.

The ost sounds too sad for me... Rewatch value I'd think it through once the series ends.

I'm a fan of these two because of Eternal Love. And I'm happy to see them in a moderm drama. This version has its up and downs.

I watched the Taiwan, dropped the Korean because it became too melodramatic for me and thai version was boring in my opinion.

The chinese version changed some details from the original story but am happy they removed the sick male lead arc from the korean and thai versions.

Although they cheated involuntarily on Anna I can't help but hate her victim mentality and her brother Dylan, I seriously love him and thought of all the versions he could be the best Dylan but no, he had to be the good brother and stop Wang Xoyo from reuniting with Jiaxin even though he had the moment of enlightenment I can't help but think that the siblings are way too selfish.

I love Wang Xiyi's family and I like how this family dynamoc changed with Jiaxin and how intact it was after she left. I love the aunt for fighting to keep Jiaxin as her niece in law. And that outrageous meddlesome grandmother.

Jiaxin's family is okay for me the mom fought for her daughter and saw Xiyi's devotion to her and changed her mond about their relationship.

The story dragged on in the latter part and I kinda hated how Jiaxin became a pushover for the siblings may be because she thought she was to blame but like girl you gotta fight for your love. Right? Although you see the character growth she still has that snail in her.

Wang Xiyi's growth is imminent and although I think he's too nice he never got back with her even after his wife left. But he never drew a line she can't cross which cpuld be the reason she was hopeful they can be together again.

The only ex gf of the main lead I liked is the one in the thai version because after they talked it out I never saw her attempt to get her ex back and understood that he loved the wife.

Although we all know it would be a happy ending given it's the 4th remake but the last episode felt too rushed. Anyways its still good.

Fluff and slice of life in one series

I watched this after I read the reviews. Quick watch for a chinese drama. 16 episodes and each episode was good the story was well put together. Besides, I was looking for something to watch while waiting for new episodes of the heiress and dance of the phoenix.

5 childhood friends live together in a compound share the joy and pain of growing up. I like how the story focused on family and friendship and how the show developed each character.

Tan Song & Cheng Zi
The typical frenemies, you could tell they would eventually end up together. I like how Cheng Zi is not a weak and simple minded girl. She's a typical teenage girl who fangirls, has a crush here and there but has never been in love.
Tan Song is the boy next door that annoys her yet protects her for his own good. Lol. He does not admit thaf he likes her but if still shows.

The gradual development of their relationship from friends to being in a relationship was realistically written.

Chen Zui & Jin Xiao
The overacheiving friends in their group. What I like about this two is how their personality is a contrast of one another. Chen Zui is a boy whose sensitive and mindful of the emotuons of people he care about and Jin Xiao is a clueless girl except in her academics. This is like the opposite of a typical drama

I like and hate how their relationship was left open ended but I understand why. He understood that the girl he likes has dreams she wants to pursue and love is not on the top of her priority list. She's insensitive but not mean. She cares for her friend but it looked like she was not gonna fall for him anytime soon.

There are snippets in the last two episodes which I am not sure if the girl was hinting at him about her feelings but she asks a question like in a situational sense but dropped the topic eventually. He confessed but was not taken seriously because they were role playing at that couple gameshow. I teared up a little when the voice over at the last episode made me realize he wouldn't say his feelings for her but have done much for her without her knowing.

It made me realize something at one point we may all have had the unrequited love. You give it your best shot not expecting anything in return. It's sad. Heartbreaking even but you will never show that pain to anyone else.

Jin Zhao & Ouyang
I like these two a lot. Although they don't know want in life they are happy to live the lifw they have.

Ouyang is that guy everyone has a crush on because he's a gentleman and a manly man. Girls can't help but fall for the guy who seemed to have it.

Jin Zhao knows himself well enough to stop hoping for a college life he knows he's not good academically and he bravely faced life head on starting at telling his mom to let him be. I like how he and his sister Jin Xiao showed a typical sibling relationship.

I like also how each househould is different from the others
Yet since they have been neighbors far too long they seem like one big happy family. I must say it was short, sweet, and makes me want for more but I kinda think they concluded it well. No messy third parties and no second lead syndrome. I definitely would watch this again.

It's a bit different from the others

Honestly of all the versions of Itazura na Kiss I love the Japanese adaptation the most. The original taiwan version is good but was too long for me.

The thai adaptation made me forget the korean remake. This version had some changes compared to the other remakes. What I really like in this version is the female lead Taliw tried to let go of her feelings for Ten Ten when she said goodbye after failing the exam. And how she stood up for herself when she confronted Ten Ten that she had tried to forget him but he didn't allow it only causing her more pain.

I'm glad that King didn't have that almost forceful kiss and I feel bad that this version does not have the happy ending for him making me wish there should be a part 2. Of all the remakes this is the most likable and relatable friend zoned second male lead.

I really loved the childhood friends arc which was not in the other versions it gave meaning to why the male lead didn't like the female lead.

The ost is cute I can't help but loop it while I listen. I think I watched it 5 times already but it's not boring for me yet.

I have been waiting for subs for this movie for 3 years or so.

What I liked and hate about the movie is how open ended the stories ended but it's what made the movie more realistic. As a viewer though you can't help but think what happened next? I guess it's part of the charm of the movie since it revolved around a DJ reading srories sent by their listeners.

Overall this movie tells you that unrequited love or one sided love affairs in real life never has a happy ending. So eventually you have to learn to move on and let go.

Was anticipating this film because the trailer was so good.
It's a story about an idol turned actor who fell in love with a high school girl.

The acting was just okay and in my opinion they lacked chemistry and it felt like the story was rushed but it's what you get when you watch a manga adaptation. I think it is part of the charm but it's like a curse too.

I think this movie is much relatable to normal men or women who have dated celebrities. After the break up it's like a shadow follows you everywhere when you see an ad billboard, watch tv or movies. It could be difficult to move on past the relationship.

The best friend is just adorable I wish he had a happy ending too.

The OST was okay.

The movie overall was just an okay. The trailer ruined it for me.

Many comments I've read said if I wanted to watch something similar to Le Coup De Foudre I should watch this and I did. The trailer kinda fooled me and got me hooked into thinking that this could help me stop binge watching Le Coup.

It's not a total disappointment but I found some loopholes. I think this should have been a mini series or a drama special with 2 episodes.

The leads were fine with their roles. I liked the nerdy ML at first but found it a bit creepy that he planned her life so he could fit in. In reality that's creepy but in the movie world I guess you'd find it endearing.

The confession scene was like a summary of how he plotted to fit in her life somehow and maybe for her to like him too. I can't blame him though. The FL was endearingily cheerful a kinda person you'd like to be friends with.

The classmate from high school is kinda an ass I mean she doesn't like the ML but since she thinks he likes her he can't like anyone else and when he does she starts to act like she likes her too.

I wish the senior who flirted with the FL had more scenes I think it would have added some jazz to the story.

Childhood sweetheart themed stories is a cup of tea I like but this movie is a so so. I would definitely watch it again just to feast my eyes on the ML whose really handsome after the makeover and the adorkably cute FL who lives her life to the fullest righteously.

I have to say this does not compare to Le Coup but if you want to watch something lighthearted and put a smile on your face this movie is worth watching.

I am one episode short before I finish this series.

I like how the story unfolded for all the characters. The story or the main leads is somehow realistic to what really happens in long distance relationships. But of course this is a drama. Happy ending is needed.

I also like the way the story about the online chat mates/gamers becoming a couple it was a thing way back when lols makes it so relatable.

How I wish Yating would end up with someone after all the heartache of a one sided love.

Overall, the music is okay. The acting is okay except for the female lead in HS years. I guess she found it awkward acting younger than she is but in university onwards her acting improved.

I will rewatch this when all eps are subbed. It's a feel good series. Relatable stories that could bring back memories.

At first I didn't want to watch this based on the plot summary alone thinking it may be too melancholic but I read an article on Soompi about how good this series is so I gave it a go.

I watched 6 episodes straight and boy I never looked back.

Part of its charm is that the book it is based on on the author's real life story. My pessimistic self believes that first love dies and your left with memories. But watching this made me realize that there are exceptions to the rule. The story telling was realistic and the actors were great.

The actors for YM and QY is so perfect that I can't think of anyone else who'd fit the bill. Their chemistry is off the charts that when you watch them interact whether in school or as adults you can't help but smile.

GC and WY is love. Their storyline was not on the book if I remember it right but like the main leads their chemistry is great. I want to assume that GC is in denial of his feelings for WY when they were younger because of his trauma.

And the uncle, oh my, he is a friend indeed. I love how his protective of his friends and how he kept his friendship with QY despite what happened with his nephew. He deserved a happy ending too.

I really enjoyed how the writer and the director showed different relationship dynamics be it about family, friendship, or love. I think this is the most realistic one I have seen in a series. I love how each character's imperfection it really made this story relatable.

The OST is awesome. The songs they used on this drama is perfectly apt for the story.

Rewatch value? I would say its worth watching over and over again just for the heck of it because this is a feel good realistic drama that would leave you with a smile on your face.

This is the first drama I've watched that I wanted to leave a review because it exceeded my expectations.
