"I always thought the older men are more mature and more comfortable to be with but it turns out that that's also fiction. The idea of meeting someone, somewhere eventually that doesn't mind your insecurities and inexperience and helps you gain confidence and doesn't mind being patient...well that's what gives me hope, hopefully that same person will also in some ways make you feel young at heart and give you a glimpse into what young love could be like at an older age (if that makes sense). For me I just want a loyal, kind, loving and romantic partner."
THAT IS ME. EXACTLY ME. You should totally watch this drama then. The ML and 2ML embody exactly what we're looking for (the FL is one lucky woman) HAHAHAHAHA
Word on all the toxic people around both in dramas and in real life. And I fear that too. But this is one thing I try not to think too much about because we never know. If bad things can happen, then there's an equal chance of good things happening too. Don't assume the worst. It's easier said than done. But remind yourself that :)

And also THANK YOU for sharing all this with me. It isn't easy to talk about this. And I don't mean to be insensitive, but it feels nice to have someone feel the same way and just understand you know. ROOTING FOR YOU!!

DUDEEEEE SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Sending you a big hug right now :)
Somewhere I'm probably still yearning for that young romance but most people my age have long crossed that. And I have met men that are put off by the inexperience. A part of me tells myself to believe that the right person will not mind, but another part of me thinks that that's unlikely to happen. Most people also just don't want to invest that time to take you through your baby steps. Unfortunately. So yes I have been focusing on feeling sufficient within myself and not trying to hard to look for another to complete me. It is hard, at times, like you said with people constantly flaunting their relationships or terming me as someone with either high standards or just weird for not having tried, even though it's neither of the 2.
Before both of us get too depressed about this, I just want to say - don't give up on yourself or on finding love. Whatever that happens, don't give up. Give your best!

OMG same. It does get "worser" as I age because most people have crossed that stage of doing the basic romantic things as a teen while I haven't, that too as a 32 year old. That gap can be hard to overcome. People who don't understand write it off as childishness or immaturity but it's just inexperience you know. And then all these judgments sometimes have the effect of putting me off from wanting to even try. SIGHHHH If only more people were sensitive to the fact that everyone has their own pace, and there is no such thing as a certain age to accomplish or overcome anything.

I didn't get the hate for her. To each their own I guess.. Also I can be confident at work and with friends, but when it comes to romance, I am very inexperienced & shy despite being 30+ so I relate to her character. We aren't always " mature" or forward (for the lack of a better word) in every aspect of our life.
Chae Jong Hyeop and Nikaido Fumi were so cute and precious together that one can't help but root for them instantly. This drama wasn't without its flaws but I enjoyed the romance / relationship between the leads, and the friendship, love and support between all the characters. All in all, a pleasant, feel-good romcom that I recommend watching after a long work day. Time well spent :)
So is the male lead a green flag? I hear the female lead is childish ? as long as there's no cheating I will binge…

What makes this such a classic isn't just the violence or the way it influenced an entire genre, but the way it is still as socially relevant. A flawed but iconic movie for the ages.
I seriously wish China allows their actresses to retain their natural skin colour (like MLs) instead of white-washing them so much. It's so off-putting sometimes.
Average short drama with under-developed plot and characters, though its definitely better than most of the short…
So much for revenge; the FL spends 3/4 of the series doing nothing but tagging along with the guy and acting lovey-dovey with him instead of investigating. We got to know nothing about how/why she went to jail, how she coped. She seemed too meek for someone who went to jail. Jail life really teaches people to be tough.
We got to know nothing about the ML and his struggles. The lines seemed really blur for him, like he was a police officer but in the process he also did become a real gangster. But that wasn't addressed. He contacted the police colleague a little too easily. We got to know nothing about how he managed to reach the top of the organisation. Also what about his life beyond his work? Surely he must have some friends or family?
The romance was also a little under-developed. I get the instant attraction but for someone doing such a high-risk job, he took her in to his house a little too easily? And she just tagged along a little too easily? At least they kissed well.
The boss was also killed too easily, and all the supporting characters barely had any layer other than bitch who seduces to get her way out, jealous scheming brother-in-law.
Also the ending. 3 years he didn't contact her and just comes back expecting that she's just waiting? What a cop out. Lazy writing.
Don't tell me it's a short drama because it was almost 4 hours long which is twice the length of a full feature film. Merely talking about the script which was weak and all over the place. Doesn't help that the actors were really average.
