The slap is what shocked me, I totally saw the cheating coming because the FL was very immature from the start,…
EXACTLY
People call her trash but she was immature and vulnerable. You cannot fully blame her for the way things transpired. She did not intend to cheat.
This show portrayed their relationship very realistically, without sugarcoating things.

Title Sawan Biang
People decried the use of violent rape in lakorns as a plot device, to precipitate the romantic relationship between…
Not just that, but the rape and violence is in no way portrayed to be 'romantic'. Yes he develops feelings for her in the process, but she remains firm and unshaken. She does not give in and neither does she feel any love for him, not until the end when she realizes that she can trust him and his sincerity is real. Unlike 99% of lakorns, Kawee regrets each and every act he did. He puts himself at her mercy and does everything in his power to redeem himself. His core character remains the same (he is still stubborn, charming and sharp-mouthed), but he learns to channel all that energy into doing the right thing.

It's a powerful story that deserves appreciation for the journey. One can't appreciate it by looking at events in isolation. I don't expect everyone to like it or watch it, but if you do, you need to watch it entirely otherwise there is no point.

Also for people who have a problem with this - they should not be watching lakorns in the first place, because most of them contain harassment, rape etc to some degree. I can barely name 10 lakorns with a healthy relationship. At least this one doesn't sugercoat anything and acknowledges everything the ML did as cruel and wrong.

Do yourself a favour and watch the Japanese adaptation instead. This does not come anywhere close to the brilliance that was.

"In a heart that stood strong alone, waves are created."
"The lionfish looks like an aloof existence but apparently, it's capable of teamwork too. It's beautiful and poisonous but it's not just that. Don't you think that's the best?"

A heartwarming, endearing and sensitive mini-drama, with a nuanced performance by Shison Jun as a transgender lesbian woman, who taught me a little more about acceptance, self-love and being kind. I fell in love with her grace, her strength, and her wit. Machida Keita's character was a lovely addition as well, who won my heart with his spirit and honesty.
Highly recommend this gem that brought me so much joy :)

UNDERRATED. Pity because she does pick some great scripts and never fails to deliver a phenomenal performance.

I've seen him in a lot of movies and dramas but he hit it out of the park as a transgender woman in Joshi-teki Seikatsu. What a beautiful performance!!

Title Eye Love You
Yes, ML is a green flag. FL is too! All the characters in this drama are green flags actually.FL is naive and…
I don't speak for all men. I am just speaking from my personal experience. And my experiences have been either men wanting to sleep with me and not really know me OR men being put off thinking that I am probably some virtuous kind who wants to have sex only after marriage and that kind of commitment is hard for them to give. In both these scenarios I get that its not exactly my fault , the former being creepier men and latter being commitment-phobic men, but they've always framed it to be my flaw. And when that happens time & time again, it's only naturalto think that the problem is me even though it isn't.

Also I didn't mean to say that men want women who are very sexually active. But at my age, being extremely inexperienced has been framed as a turn off for the men I met. They say shit like I"m lying and there's no way someone as beautiful or cute as me never got a guy. Or do I have high standards or bull like that or if something is wrong with me. Maybe I haven't met the right one yet who's willing to put in the effort.

Again, these are purely my experiences & the interpretation of those experiences.

Your review makes me want to watch it but I also feel scared because it sounds very triggering.
It is triggering, and very very raw.
But I encourage everyone to see it because it is a relevant and important movie for all, especially women. It will leave you empty, but it also will leave you with a lot of lessons.
Give it a try when you're in the mood for it :)

THIS FILM SHOULD BE MADE MANDATORY VIEWING FOR EACH AND EVERY PERSON. (more in review)

A brutal, thought-provoking and painfully real depiction of everything that is wrong with society from the way people engage in small talk & spread rumours about others without regard, the inhumanity with which society bullies and isolates others, the way family and social institutions fail to protect victims and try to make news out of them, the patriarchal & predatory mindset with which people view women who have sex as 'easy' and think they can just have her without her consent - every damn thing about this was powerful and triggering. It made me mad and sick to my stomach. I ugly cried. I just don't have the words really because this has left me feeling empty. (more in review)

And to think, this happens every day in some corner of the world. Films like this make you realize how the world can be a flower bed for some, and thorns for another. We talk about finding sufficiency and self-love in our ownself, but is it really possible when no one is on your side, and everyone is only trying to push you over the edge?

On to the technical aspects - the way it was filmed may make it look like a low budget film but that's what made this even more powerful. Every scene and frame looked so real, like you were viewing the world from the character's perspective rather than watching a film. The acting was spot on.

It's a flawless short film and I highly highly recommend this for all, even though it is not an easy watch and will trigger even the hardest of hearts.
