Ahh the classic old Japanese romance dramas <33 BE STILL MY HEART. Watching Toru gradually fall in love with Yuka and her innocence filled me with warmth, Their chemistry was just so lovely. A pure love story, indeed, though I do wish the show explored their relationship as companions more. It's definitely worth watching once. Give it a try.
Good news! 😆✨IrozukuSubs has decided to pick up 'Tonari no Nurse Aide' as their side project 😉https://twitter.com/irozukusubs/status/1761219283768774967
Re-watched this after years and it's such a consistently good romcom. Issei might be a minor but he's such a man with the way he grows and communicates his feelings honestly, and Hayame is such a boss lady. The butler and grandma were absolutely adorable too. Even on a re-watch, I loved it as much as when it was airing.
in case you're looking for good dramas of hers, you can try - Henshin Promise Cinderella Kono Sekai no Katsumi Ni Mondai no aru restaurant Woman Mirai Nikki
An unconventional story of unconditional love, hope and strength that draws you in slowly thanks to the resilient FL and oddball ML who are the quintessential characters a common man would relate to. A criminally underrated and simple film with a profound message that will move the hardest of hearts. Beautifully written and acted, I can't recommend this enough, especially for slice of life lovers.
P.S This might be the most 'common' Hiroshi Abe ever looked LOL.
He has seriously grown on me over the years... dude can play any kind of role and give a very sincere performance. Also, he was so charming in the 90s <3
I started this for Mamiya Shotaro but stayed for each and every character. This was a wacky, hilarious & heartwarming drama that could teach you a thing or two about family, friendship and growing up. The writing, direction and performances were so sincere and wonderful. The Nanba family, esp Matsu the dog who I just found out passed away, will be missed. RIP. Highly recommended for all :)
Its been a while since I watched a genre like this. (well besides High&Low).I hope there's more drama like this.…
Couldn't agree more! This is one of my favourite genres and the Japanese do it effortlessly. I don't know if you've seen more from this genre, but do them give a try -
Kyou Kara Ore Wa Yankee-kun to Megane-chan Tiger & Dragon My Boss, My Hero Gomenne Seishun! Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro [not a yankee drama but similar wackiness] Gokusen Nisekoi
You can't go wrong when you have a slow-burn romance with two beautiful young men. This was lovely. Also, Hirose Tomoki seriously looks like a young Oguri Shun :)
A simple, feel-good and fun romcom about 2 easy-going, smart, and charming adults who strike a friendship over bowling, and fall in love with each other slowly. A rare drama with zero negativity and leads who communicated constantly, and yet remained imperfect in their own ways. The supporting characters were really likeable and fun too. Time flew by with this one. It just flowed beautifully and ended in the best way it could. As charming as a classic could be, and should be *swoons* I can't finish this comment without fawning over how fine Kaneshiro Takeshi was <33 Highly recommend this lovely classic for all :)
Also, this must be Nojima Shinji's most positive drama ever. The man writes pretty dark stuff and this was so refreshing from his usual stuff (which I also love)..
Can't wait for this to be fully subbed :)
