How are you? Thanks for the video. She's got a nice voice! They should have kept her natural tone, and made her mispronounce words instead. That would have been much more logical. Agree, she is naturally cute and they didn't have to go the extra mile to get her to talk and behave like that. It only ended up having the reverse effect of making her sound irritating.

The problem is the way she speaks that comes across as unnaturally kiddish, not her lack of understanding of mannerisms or not knowing the language well enough. Nothing to do with the accent at all. Accent has to do with pronounciation, not voice tone / sound. There's a difference between the two. Her pronounciation is perfect for someone who didn't practice much. I may not be as fluent in some languages as others (I speak 8 languages) but my voice doesn't automatically become kiddish. I stutter and may mispronounce the words but the voice quality and sound is similar. Even when she spoke the Mongolian language, there was a kiddish-ness to her tone. And yes, some people do naturally have kiddish voices. But the actress doesn't and its obvious that she is trying to downplay her real voice in an attempt to sound cute. The problem is that it isn't cute. Also, I have never heard her voice in real life but I can tell that she doesn't speak like that.
