floating above the clouds

Deserving of every praise, this was a simple and heartwarming film about a mother's love for her son, complemented by a beautiful score, and performance by Matsuyuki Yasuko. It definitely doesn't deserve such a low rating.
Highly recommended!

I just remembered, closest fit to this drama would be Perfect World. The whole disability plus meeting your first…
It's not a tearjerker actually.

Yup all those dramas you listed are nice!
Have you seen Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru? That's a really romantic and moving one.
And also Aishiteru to Ittekure?
And Koi Desu?
These three are really good as well :)

A feel-good and fun show centred around the aviation industry, with young and adorable Kimu Taku & Shibasaki Ko, and the very charming Tsutsumi Shinichi as Captain Koda.
Highly recommended if you're in the mood for something light and uplifting :)

E2 made me cry, yet again. Their conversation was just so heartfelt, I don't know what to do with my feelings. I just wanted to go there and push them to each other and lock them up in one room, so that they would just hug and talk it all out, and not separate.
I'm such a mess.

I love how Tsumugi and Sou are just so so perfect together. She didn't lash out in anger and ask him why he did that. She understood. She was thankful she met him, and apologised if she made it harder for him to tell her. He, too, smiled and felt proud when she started signing and was straightforward about not wanting to make her sad. They conversed like two adults and were so accepting of each other instead of focusing on the why-what-how of the past.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE TWO, AND THIS SHOW. Definitely one of my favourite dramas this season <3

OH MY HEART, I didn't expect their love story to be that moving. I freaking cried. It was so dark and twisted, yet so sad and moving at the same time. At the end of the day, we're all human, and we feel pain and happiness the same, regardless of who we are and what we have done.
Easily Yoshitaka Yuriko's best performance, supported by a brilliant Matsuzoka Tori, and underrated Matsuyama Kenichi.
Highly recommended for those who can take it.

Set against the backdrop of the art world, this was a captivating and mysterious drama. The score and cinematography was both stunning and eerie. The writing was tight-scripted, and the acting was fantastic. Nothing but praise for this gem.
Special mention for the actress who played Shirane Tatsuru - She had such screen presence and conveyed so much doing so little. Takahata Mitsuki, as always, was fantastic.
Highly recommended!

On A Time Called You Oct 15, 2022
I wonder why people who have watched the original would want to see this or why an adaptation is being made.. the beauty of the story lies in its mystery and the way it unfolds. Once you know that, half the enjoyment is gone, unlike a rom com.
Genuinely curious.

Very important question... will this make me cry??
Well, if you're emotional - then YES.
If you are not too emotional - then MAYBE.
If you're an extremely detached person who never cries - then NO.

I'm obsessed with the first episode!! Please recommend me something with the same vibes!
You mean love stories involving people with disabilities? Try these-

Perfect World (ML is paralysed)
Aishiteru to Ittekure (ML is deaf)
Koi Desu: Yankee-kun to Hakujou Garu (FL is partially blind)
Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru (FL is deaf)

If you're referring to a similar nostalgia of meeting your first love, then try this-

Boku Dake ga 17-sai no Sekai de

This drama literally had brilliant acting from the ML, and the worst acting I've seen from any FL. I re-watched…
Also I just realised the cafe where he first met her is called 'Metoo cafe' LMAO
How apt is that.

On March Comes in Like a Lion Oct 14, 2022
I don't know what is it about these kind of films that I find so charming... there was little plot and it was rather slow, but the atmosphere of the film was calming yet lonely; the sounds of the construction work in the background, the backdrop of the developing town / city, the sound of that hot summer afternoon etc
The film takes you through an experience of the little mundane things in our life, all the way to what it means to feel, to love, to have your heart broken and be back to square one - loneliness. So much depth conveyed so simply and poignantly.
Now I feel sad, and lonely.
This is not a film for everybody.
