Love Affairs in the Afternoon, Encounter, One Spring Night, Go Ahead, The Greatest Love and Jealousy Incarnate, are my recommendations for modern and work love triangles. There are other good triangles in more settings (college, high school, time travel, fantasy, historical) such as Reply 1988, The Heirs, Strong Woman Do Bong, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, etc) so if you google 'mydramalist love triangles' you'll get several lists by fellow members with many to check them out.
Not necessarily. It is a good drama, no doubt about that. The thing is people when rating a drama retrospectively…
You're right, and there are many older excellent dramas which at time of airing had top high viewership and ratings, but mydramalist didn't exist to record such data, although some is found in wikipdia.
I really can't move on from this. Anyone got reccomendations of something close to this? The withdrawal is real
There are many dramas better than this super hyped one, with solid scripts without so many plot holes and shallow characters. But you mentioned that you didn't like Love between fairy and devil (praised in many countries due to the qualify of the script, acting, foreshadowing, direction, etc) because you found the FL too cute, which would seem like you wouldn't care much about the script, or character development. Then I would recommend that you go to "explore" in the above blue bar, click "top shows", filter by genre/country/ratings, to find something you'd like, and don't bother much with other members recommendations. There's a lot of trial and error at the beginning of drama-watching, because everyone has different tastes
I'm amazed at how many users liked this drama, which for me had such a shallow script, silly characters (except for the ML, both FL and teacher Lee), and too many plot holes in both parts 1 and 2. I actually expected part 2 to redeem the drama, but it seems my expectations were still too high. I even wrote a review, to rant, but I'm sincerely happy that many of my fellow members didn't feel the big disappointment I felt.
I used to think like you... Then I started watch more jdramas and it totally changed my pov towards them
You said that English is your first language, but in my opinion, you should check your understanding of adjectives before using them. Realistic means "representing familiar things in a way that is accurate or true to life", therefore, any drama, film, literary fiction, and so on, can be realistic. This is the only comment I'm going to make, I won't reply or engage in further replies. Also please note I said "in my opinion". Thank you and happy watching.
Just rewatched it as a break before my next drama, and I still found it very sweet, very good acting by most of the cast, original story (and cutest childhood scenes), and the FL character is realistically portrayed. I think this is one of my favorite age-gap dramas.
Check the tag, it has also other countries. But yes, most of the propaganda content is from China.
That's not true. Most American shows' scripts have/point out/include scenes about criticism for their government, or corruption of powers and institutions, or poverty, drug dealings and murderers within their society, or self-mockery about their way of living etc. But most importantly, this website is about Asian shows, not American shows, so your comment is not applicable. Also, in your reply to a member in this thread, you elegantly said "Just stfu.", and "I don't want any of this shit here. Understand???" Well, I want to see a tag of "propaganda" as a warning, which for me is as useful as the tag "weak male lead", both help me decide if I want to watch it or not. Finally, any member can add the tag of "propaganda" to any drama from any country in MyDramaList whenever is applicable, since edits are done by the members.
lol God being a she.....not suprised. am taking this that you are a female also right?
You just joined this community, and decided to comment about the gender that one of our members wants to assign to his/her God. Please respect religious beliefs. It's the minimum basis of civility that anyone can expect from another person in this century and year. And on top of that, you're also dictating your own very simplistic opinion about gender equality, which is a complex subject that must undergo a thorough evaluation of sociological, economical, political and cultural factors in each country...
Such a trashy drama, what’s up with the good review? Y’all haven’t seen good drama yet if you think this…
Everybody has different tastes and should be respected (for example, you gave a 10 to Ugly Duckling Series Perfect Match, which I dropped.) So please respect the ratings of the members of our community.
im actually gonna go crazy why is eunwoo in every single webtoon adaptation no hate to him tho but.....
It's just a coincidence. There are many dramas (in the past, currently filming and a lot planned to be released within the next year) that are based in webtoons. There are even articles specially delving into this trend of webtoons adaptations. Plus, as Yukhewi said below, he also got the looks.
