Overall, ok but not exceptional. I liked the warmth of Li Jiu Lin’s character. He’s usually so cold in these types of dramas. He’s usually doing steamier stuff too. This one was quite tame, a bit lacking actually.
I can’t stand the grandmother. That wet-paper torture is sadistic, like nothing I’ve seen before. 🤯She looks like the evil stepmother in Disney’s Cinderella with that hairdo.
🤣😁I tried. Not seeing it. Gang Ju mom actress has those overfull lips, an obvious nose job, and bold brows and a fuller rounder face. The Hwang actress (from She Was Pretty, right?) has a small, narrow face with small delicate features and looks pale and washed out because she does that no-makeup makeup look all the time and looks rather bland in my opinion. Gang Ju mom actress has a face that is full of character.
Ok, ep 1 & 2 blew me away. I honestly didn’t expect this to be this good given the trailer I saw, but Zhao Lusi ate this role. Impressed. Moved. Ep 2 had me bawling 😭.
The writer is giving even more screentime to Baek Ji Yeon, Gang Ju's mother. Why? Needless scenes when she's alone…
Extremely unlikeable, unpleasant character. I keep trying to remember this actress is only acting, but she sure is typecast in this kind of obnoxious role a lot.
