She actually is rather simple-minded. She’s bright and capable, but there were several instances where her comprehension seemed a bit slow. Yan Zheng noticed it too (ep 1 or 2), I believe. There was a quizzical, stunned look in his face at her lack of understanding, but he was kind enough not to say anything. He let her keep her dignity, and simply explained gently so she could understand. I forgot the exact scene, but I might rewatch to find it.

What’s the name of Wei Yan’s eldest son? Xuan something? I thought he was a Xie too and and not a Wei, which was confusing me.
