i don't know if I should watch it, in this any good?
It’s not too bad. It’s gotten really interesting at ep 6. Fast-paced. Charming FL. Angsty ML. His face is inscrutable—he plays it cool, but he’s very observant and maneuvers a lot. He’s not simple at all.
Havent start watching this! is it better than Shine on Me guys? I dropped SOM after 5 or 6 episodes or so as it…
The plot and chemistry here are a bit more engaging, totally different vibe—heavier, more fast-paced. There’s going to be more angst here and, it appears, conniving power plays between architect rivals with the FL caught in between. This drama isn’t perfect though. It hasn’t completely got me hooked. But, I am mildly intrigued. I’m still waiting to see the ML’s charm though. He’s too dry for my taste, never smiles. But, he’s observant though and a good listener—so he’s earned a few points in my book. He is also a fast mover—has already taken her out on a “date” under the guise of “we’re working.” Yeah, right, that’s all you’re doing hehehe 😏😏. The FL is thoroughly charming—love her.
how red flag is the ml ? i got this drama recommend on tiktok for best redflag ml in cdrama. like shat the most…
He murders people when they interfere with his agenda. But, he has the appearance of a frail, pedantic scholar. So, they don’t see it coming. He’s that kind of red flag.
Well, they are in Cold War right now. So, of course, they aren’t going to be lovey-dovey at the moment. She’s…
The way she invited him into her boudoir conveys her feelings for him. If he were not someone she liked, she would have found other means to deal with him.
The pacing has changed in episode 23, I didn’t think I would like it, but I really enjoyed the episode. There…
Great commentary! However, it makes sense to me that RSB is still on edge, probably more so, since leaving the mansion. She has a whole new set of worries—surviving on her own without the Rong backing, and, at the same time, working behind the scenes to ensure her family does not falter despite this current divide. Her personality wouldn’t change overnight just because she’s left the mansion. But to your point, a little of change in her demeanor would have been refreshing and would add some dimension.
10 episode left and I feel nothing really developing yet with the plot and feel like the last 10 episodes gonna…
Nothing developing? Plenty is developing. The inevitable change of power in the Rong Family and a new way of running the Rong Family, different from Granny’s tyrannical regime, are what’s developing. RSB is just biding time, awaiting the appropriate moment to reveal the true traitors of her family. How RSB heals the rifts in her family—that’s what is developing.
“The Story of Minglan” has a similar vibe—very good drama. But, I find “Glory” more engaging and appealing.…
True, the romance in “Story of Minglan” was not romantic at all. I couldn’t even tell when/if they ever started liking each other. The clever FL and all the schemes of her sister and household are what is similar to “Glory.”
At this point, I’m not even feeling the romance or chemistry between the leads
Well, they are in Cold War right now. So, of course, they aren’t going to be lovey-dovey at the moment. She’s mad at him for “betraying” her family when really he was just serving justice on the despicable Yangs. RSB understands this, but has to maintain appearances because of that oath she made to Grandma. RSB and LJL are still crazy about each other. When they finally get together again, I just know it will be fire 🔥.
You mean “Hu” Xiu, the FL? Who is Chen Xiao Yi? I don’t recall that name from the first four episodes. Xiao…
Ok, then, yes, FL knows that Xiao Yu (Xiao Zhi Yu) is the general in the VR game. She’s figured it out. The translation I see is General Qin, but same thing.
