Damn, I was expecting tears from this series, but I think we are going next-level tears.
For a first time director and first time actors this is shaping up as a truly beautiful series. Of course it isn't without flaws, but I've seen far worse from established directors and actors.
The first part's told from Kong's point of view and the second part has the same scenes from the 1st one but its…
Ah okay, thanks. I kept thinking I've seen this, but I couldn't remember where. I might have to watch both parts one after the other. It would be nice if there were more episodes because they are really nice together.
I'm so confused. I was watching this thinking I've seen this before, very recently, but could only remember parts of it. Then I see there was Love at First Sight, which is what? Is it part 1 and 2, or a retelling of the same story. Anyway, it's nice and I would like to see more of this pairing.
To be honest I almost gave up on this after about 5 minutes into the first episode, but couldn't be bothered finding something else to watch. It is far from the most polished series ever made, however I ended up watching the first 5 episodes in one night. Some of it is indeed cringe-inducing, but I like that they've tried something different. The attractive lead actors are definitely a reason to stick with this. 😅
Why were they playing The First Noel during the lunch conversation? That's a Christmas carol! It was so out of…
Yes, when they started with that I’m like that sounds a lot like a Christmas carol. I’ve heard other random/inappropriate songs in other series. 😆
I think I can answer this. The acting is superb, even Fern. The problem is the two main characters interact almost…
Yes, you were too late. Haha. I'm really hoping for a second season so we can maybe get a more positive outcome. The acting was spot-on and it had a lot of potential, but it was just missing something. Fortunately it was only 3 episodes, so I'm not as annoyed as I would be had it been 13.
I don't know what it is, but I'm just not feeling this series. It has all the components that should make me love…
Okay, so watched episode 3 and it does go some way to redeeming itself with me despite not ending up how I thought it would. The performances are really good and the production was well done. The story/script was a little muddled in places, but for a three episode series it was much better than average.
What this really needs is a second season where Dew and Best meet again in 5 years, and both Dew's mother and Fern are burning in hell.
I don't know what it is, but I'm just not feeling this series. It has all the components that should make me love it, but I'm just not connecting with it. I've only watched 2 of the episodes so far, so maybe I'll have a turnaround in the last, but it just doesn't resonate. It's not a bad series, but I'm just frustrated that I'm not enjoying it and I don't know why.
This is a really beautiful series. I think the slower pacing, and melancholy tone really hits me in the right spot. For two first-time actors I think we're getting some quite good performances. Title is putting in an especially solid showing. I'm not exactly sure how the story will unfold, but I'm getting the feeling we might be in for some tears.
My only criticism, which is minor, is that sometimes I find the background music a little intrusive.
This is such a nice series. It mightn't be groundbreaking, but the performances are good, and there's some sweet and funny moments. I'm sure they could easily stretch this out to 12 episodes, but with only 8 episodes we hopefully won't be subjected to needless filler and nonsense.
I usually avoid shows like this because they tend to be full of nastiness and confected drama, but on the whole I found this quite good. I think the majority of the men involved were genuine and seeing the interactions between the contestants, including the friendly rivalries and the friendships formed, was really nice.
I think some elements of the 'game' were stupid, like some of the challenges, and limited time for contestants to spend with the dream guy, but nothing is perfect and for the first series I won't be overly harsh in my judgement.
It is both reassuring (and depressing) to see other guys with the same insecurities and issues finding a partner, but the fact that most of them are very good looking makes me despair for own prospects. 🤣
Yeah, I've skimmed through a lot more episodes and I don't think I can finish this. I might be lucky if 5 minutes of each episode is worth watching. In the end, even Ongsah and North couldn't get me to stick with it.
Just painful. I've struggled through 2 episodes so far, with a lot of skipping in the second. If this was trimmed of all the other rubbish and just focused on Ongsah and North I would be a lot happier. I don't think I've seen a series with so much dialogue that says so little. This thing possesses as much life as North does.
I'm really enjoying this. It's really refreshing to have a theme outside of the standard high school/university settings. Episode 3 had a couple of cringe moments, but overall it's been really good. I like the side couple of Bank and Pitch too. Well worth watching for sure.
