So I've watched Max and Tul together in a few BLs.. I love their on screen and off screen relationship. But watching…
I think it's that they're just so comfortable with each other and that this story is intense so it really come through in their performances. From their own comments, they realised that this was a much more serious story than any of their others and they both worked hard to inhabit those roles as best they could.
I think they've done a great job, especially Max, and I haven't once thought of them as Korn or Knock while watching this.
From the Department of Silly Posts:I've been rewatching the show all day to be ready for the finale and I have…
...that I really feel badly for Tan! Dude just keeps getting wailed on for 4 episodes straight! To his credit, he stays one scrappy bastard, throughout! The Energizer Bunny has nothing on our Tan! XD
I've really enjoyed the relationship development between Tan and Bun. Things largely seemed natural and I felt that they were more and more invested in both working and being together with each passing episode. Their initial trust issues were reasonable and didn't feel, to me, overly contrived.
The murders have definitely been exciting and given more gravitas to the story, though not everyone agrees as to how well the storyline's been executed.
I've thoroughly enjoyed it and still think that it's been unique. My only irritant is that I wish Bun wasn't playing coy so often with Tan. That comes across to me as being tropish and a bit juvenile. I'm not sure if it's culturally related or if it's just so pervasive in BL stories that they felt they had to have it that way.
I will always love the PeteKao stories told through, Kiss, Kiss Me Again and Dark Blue Kiss, so I can't say that 1000 Stars is my favourite GMM production, but they're so different in tone that I might be able to like them equally, eventually, in different ways.
I found that, as well. There were times when certain "background" noises (like a car parking and locking) were…
What with Covid restrictions, I'm rewatching the series so that I'll feel well immersed for the finale. I'm up to Ep 4 and have noticed it a few times, so far.
UPDATE: I haven't fully rewatched it, yet, but, the mixing issues seem to improve around Ep. 5.
I was into the story until it started into a spiral dive in Ep. 8. Still, the performances were good except for the main Antagonist's Hamfest. Plus, I like looking at Jang Dong Yoon.
Hello! From the person who accidently started this mess, offence was not my intention my wording was bad and I…
Thanks, Jay, but I'm no legend. What I am, though, is a retired psychiatric nurse with diagnoses of his own who also has a lot of experience with developmental and neuro-atypical issues. I just didn't want you to blame yourself for no reason. =)
I woluld stop watching if they pulled that sh#$. I'm so done with that. That and "I'm not gay, I only love ___________".
As a gay man, I find the trope offensive to my feelings and my lived experience. We didn't go through the process of coming to terms with ourselves and coming out to the world to have that Dissed by this shitty"I'm only gay for him" crap. If a person is Bi, Pan: that's fine, but the notion that someone is Str8 except for 1 dude in the world? It's absurd...
It's good not to be hung up on labels, but it took generations of us shouting "I'm here, I'm Queer, Get Used To It" and fighting for equality to allow for that possibility in the first place.
