More to it than meets the eye. Drama, romance, mystery, supernatural elements, comedy, corporate, slice of life, revenge... This drama really has it all, and it does it all fairly well. Of course it has the occasional instance, particularly near the end, of really awkward transitioning between tone and emotion that it may give some whiplash, but it was so charming I could forgive it. Some really good characters in this drama, and the way the cast interacts is so great in every relationship on screen, although with the sheer amount of characters this drama gets you to care about it is possible to feel that some of them lack depth. Again, it's forgiveable. This is a treat of a drama that I thoroughly enjoyed. Not perfect, but worth watching.
Lee Min Ho has been MIA since 2013. His first movie turned him into even more of an egomaniac and he's blown off…
I'm a huge fan of Lee Min Ho but this made me laugh my ass off with the truth in it. He has never been the strongest actor, but I don't think you can wholly blame him if he has an ego, considering the godlike status that some of his fans have given him. Also, he hasn't always picked the best roles to showcase his acting- but I sort of doubt he's had 100% free choice when it comes to his projects, considering the pretty tyrannical nature of some entertainment companies when it comes to their charges.
I can see how this drama would infuriate a lot of people, particularly the male lead. But I happen to sort of be someone like that, so I really enjoyed him, and this drama. Also, Han Ye Sul has the prettiest wardrobe ever. She always does, it's ridiculous.
I had a dip around episode 8 or 9 and stopped watching it for a few months, but I came back to it and thoroughly enjoyed the last few episodes. They wrapped everything up nicely. Not an outstanding drama, nothing too heart-touching, but nice.
All these comments about the most recent episode, that's what I like to see in a drama! People excited about it!
Unfortunately I can't watch it yet </3 What's the point of knowing Korean if I can't watch dramas right after they're released ;-;
it's sad that most korean dramas became that much empty shell..such a great cast where's the story here?!! between…
Having no 'solid' storyline is something that a lot of series do. If you've ever seen a Japanese drama or anime, then you'd definitely recognize that pattern. Going from arc to arc all while slowly advancing the central plot. It's a different style, and that doesn't make it inherently any better or worse than a series with a cohesive beginning-middle-end.
The things that happened in DotS were far more captivating to me than whatever nonsense happened in Full House- a drama that, to me, was incredibly underwhelming. (Also, the 'cute' stuff in DotS was my least favourite part, I found it cringey... I liked the dramatic parts. Because, you know, it's a drama.)
TIL; Koreans think that volcanic eruptions in Canada are a likely occurrence.
I have no words.
This drama was good if you like cheesy contrived dramas with lots of eye candy.
I started out with Japanese dramas, so it always surprises me a little when I realize that other people have never seen one.
My favourites are Liar Game, Hana Kimi (the original one...not the remake.), and Tatta Hitotsu no Koi. I'd recommend those to anybody on any day of the week.
A sweet, visually attractive film that has is jam-packed with big budget actors. The premise is also very interesting.
Some elements of the plot were weak, I'll admit. But it's a nice watch.
But was that scene at the end actually part of the drama? Did he live? I'm going to be believe he did, because otherwise the ending is too much of a waste.
Normally I love sad and tragic endings, but it should be obvious that when going for a dramatic stand off with somebody you know has a gun, YOU SHOULD WEAR A GODDAMN BULLETPROOF VEST YOU FRUITCAKE.
I've been through the entire ost and I still can't find the song playing in the background at 55:50-57:12 in episode…
Are you talking about the song with the chick singing or the instrumental? Just checking because the timing might be different depending on where we watch it ^_^"
I liked it for the most part, but the ending was really sort of a messy unsuccessful mash-up in an effort to bank on any last bit of affection for the characters and relationships that we got to know throughout the drama. The things that were forced and the things that were implied left me rather disappointed and underwhelmed. The rest of the drama was great however.
My goodness. This drama has been on my radar since I watched my very first drama (...7 years ago o_o) and in retrospect it's complete nonsense to me that I took this long to watch the damn thing!
I am not a crier. I actively seek out sad movies and dramas, but I can still count the amount of shows that have made me cry on one hand. But this drama? Mannnn. 4 times! I cried 4 times! The fourth time should probably count for more, considering it lasted the entirety of the last episode.
This is exactly what I look for in a drama. I wish there had been just a teensy bit (just a teensy bit) more of a focus on the romance element, but I can find that elsewhere and I can understand why they wouldn't want to overdo it considering it's based off of the life of a real girl.
If this has been sitting on your list for a long time, just go ahead and watch it! It's 11 episodes, fairly quick- perfect for a marathon. I'm really glad I watched this.
the trailer looks great, I am going to watch this. but I don't know any of the main cast, I wish men were more…
Huang Xuan was in the Wallace Huo drama Imperial Doctress, and I didn't think he was too bad looking. Maybe watch that before this comes out so you get a feel for his acting... and face... lol

And it just has the best squeal-worthy typical drama moments! Eep.

I also found what seems to be a 13 minute trailer? Seems a bit excessive imo
