Hmm, I'm up in the air about this one. I wasn't interested in Appledog's storyline in the first series. I like…
Depends on what you didn't like about Appledog's storyline in the first series. They recast Appledog and this actress has more chemistry with HYT. Maybe give it a try to decide. Opinions are sort of polarized here because the Appledog & Dt couple is really different from HSY & TN so the vibe of this season is very different from GGS1.
I recommend watching without watching 1. Some of the cast changes are confusing people lol. I can confirm that the details about the characters will be explained as you keep watching.
Slow as heck, great cast, long stares, cute moments. If that's what you generally like then go ahead.
If you love GGS1, it's best to treat it as an unrelated drama because there are many cast changes and the tone is pretty different. Ai Qing and Wu Bai are a lot more restrained sort of characters than HSY and TN. Ai Qing is the same character as in GGS1 but closer to the novel Ai Qing who is only 2-3 years older then Wu Bai.
Honestly I don't like how there is no mention of ctf..its not like I hate the concept of robot combat and racing..i…
It was gaming in the novels. Season 1 did not pass censorship for television broadcast so they made a quick edit to CTF. Season 2 planned ahead for censorship issues and changed it to robotics.
Did anyone read the novel?how is fl and ml?is fl naive or smart?
Kailin's descriptions are perfect. ML is a charming jerk with a soft side. FL is young with some naive traits but not stupid. This FL is a skillful gamer who can stand on equal footing with the ML. This is one of my favorite gaming stories.
Can some kind soul please tell me stuff from go go squid that I need to know to watch this drama coz I haven't…
I agree with the other two comments here. GGS2 eventually explains everything you need to know. Also, GGS2 is focused on different characters from GGS1. The main characters in GGS2 didn't have much story in the other season.
quick question, do i need to watch go go squid s1 first to understand this drama?
Seeing a lot of posts about how it is to hard to transition with the changes, it's better not to watch GGS1. Like the novel, GGS2 slowly reveal details about the past. There are some things that are hinted at in the first couple episodes and you might think you needed to watch GGS1 but you don't.
No. it's a separate story and the characterisation for FL is different. People are having difficulties consoling…
I have also observed people who loved GGS1 having trouble reconciling some differences in GGS2 so I agree with putting it off. In fact, GGS2 is so different that some people who didn't like GGS1 are enjoying it more. If you dropped GGS1 maybe you will like this better!
Also, there are some things that are unexplained in the beginning, don't assume it's because you need to watch GGS1. Things will be explained as the drama continues. This is how it was in the books too, little pieces about the past were spread out throughout the books.
