Title Abandoned Spoiler
This drama makes me so angry. The social worker makes me angry, Mao, who admisters the the orphanage makes me angry, the parents (espacially the choosen parents for trials make me angry). As Japan also ratified the UN Convention of Rights of the child I don't believe something like this could happen. Not in a western country, not if a social worker is controlling that orphanage. WOAH. I can totally see what problems people had with this drama. Even if this is fiction, but it demolishes the image of Japan's child protection and if I would be an abondened and abused child I would get really angry at that. Portraying that orphanage as something similiar to a home, where abused children could heal and find happiness is the sickest shit ever.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the drama. I liked the ending. It just felt like the drama used a deus ex machina…
I wished for that ending, too. That he would stay and lose his powers and just become a human. That would have still hurt but after all, growing old together with her was his wish.
But maybe because we were all expecting this ending, they made up that wormhole thing. I don't really know what they intended to do with it. When I watched the final episode I was so concentrated on trying to solve that wormhole mystery that I couldn't really enjoy the last 10 minutes.

I FEEEEEL YOUUUU. This is the only thing that just didn't make any sense to me. What was that UFO, wasn't he supposed to go back? Why did he vanish like that? how could he jump back to her. It didn't make any sense. Like at all. If they would have explained it well, it would have felt a lot more satisfying.

I am suffering so much because of this drama. After I have watched the two latest episodes, I need to reblog nearly every scene again on tumblr for nearly two hours. The quotes stay in my mind for weeks, and they just pop up out of nowhere, and I am going crazy about their perfectness. Then at some point I remember the shoes and I just CAN'T anymore and break out from laughter out of nowhere. that never happened to me before. I have gone crazy over dramas, but not like that. I need help. I mean what will happen to me if that drama is over? what am I gonna do? I am so afraid I will get that not-being-able-to-watch-drama-sickness again because after you have seen you who came from the stars the perfectness can't be overthrown and every other drama will be like meaaaaaah.

Woah, what an interesting thing. A gender neutral approach. I have never thought about it. This really makes me think. All the guys I have met merely went on how much they hated the love story in the movie, or how much they hate that romance stuff in general. Plus if you watch out for shounen Managas and Animes, there may be some romance in it, but rather cooled down, and short. If I told male friends about Dramas, they would look at me with a glare and be like, what feminine thing is that. So I always categorized romance in dramas as a feminine thing, seeing that most male people don't enjoy it. I never thought it could be seen as someting gender neutral. But then again I always wondered why even korean men would watch Dramas.
I need to think about this more, because the idea never came to my mind before. But it's awesome.

haha, yeah I know, I thought the same when I went to your profile. Though I think your words are somehow much more special, seeing that you kind of overcross the boundries of gender stereotypes. I was pretty astonished by it

if you are also pissed about that screwed timline with the babysidestory raise your hand. WRITERS WHAT DID YOU DO??? yeah right, she gets a perfect healthy baby with 6 months of pregnancy and it doesn't die directly (at most it could have been seven months, but it is not possible that it has been three months from the moment she slept with Wang Yu to where she needed to hide) not if Lady Park was pregnant for nearly 10 episodes and that ten episodes have been just one month) gosh that drama was perfect until you put out that baby thing. AND THAN THAT THING SURVIVED A 20m CLIFF FALL in winter? In ice cold frozen water? NO! NONONONONO!

This is not okay. I am not okay. Such a well planned story. I believe I have never once seen such a delicate love…
yes. Qing Dynasty. They stayed with the historical facts. I found it rather annoying too in the beginning. If you get over this though, it get really awesome.

I prefer subtitles that make sense. This is the most important thing. I remember watching my princess, where the grammar sucked so badly and the segmenting was just purley wrong that it was no fun at all to watch and totally annoying. If you ask me which subtitles I prefer it would be withs2. Because they put effort into their translation. They watch out that it will fit the drama (it's kind of like working on an art piece or a poem). A literal translation is always better then a direct one. Because then it means someone thought about what would fit there and tried to deliver the translation naturally.
If you would translate oppa in a direct form the translator would always go with older brother. If you translate it in a literal way it would fit the situation and maybe become boyfriend or brother.

About the age gap.... Errr, I don't know what your countries are like, but in mine there are enough politicans who get themselves some younger wifes (and if you look over the border the most famous example would be the former french president). And after all they explained in the drama well, that the president has some kind of charisma, which is popular around a lot of women.
