This show just did too much, so it fell apart and made no sense by the end.
This show had potential. If they cut the brain tumor, meteor, and second CP, there could have been something pretty good here. The rich kid returning to his late grandma's house to find strangers, especially a quiet withdrawn young man living there, would have been the storyline to stick with. I think that would have been enough for a nice coming of age story. Props to Jia Yi and Tang Chengzhi, they did great. Dad's backstory leading to the second brother's story could have been a standalone.
It's amazing how sunny and cuddly Kim Yoonsik seems to be on a recent IG live. He's the complete opposite of Prosecutor Joo, who absolutely terrifies me. Park Siwoo seems to be more stern and capable of bossing around Kim Yoonsik, very much the opposite of Lee Chaeha: https://youtu.be/p0nIoxpkbM8?si=2oRYyl4sHX0dGROb
I'm sorry but ep 6 is so stupid. i was hooked the whole time and then the death?? Yes, they hinted that something…
That part totally took me out of an otherwise wonderful watching experience. I let a couple of days pass before I resumed watching. I'm glad I stayed and continued on to episode 7, but episode 6 was a massive disservice to an otherwise beautiful production. I think they could have just left out showing Sister Lan's dead body altogether and conveyed Brother Guo's breakdown behind a closed door.
I can't express how much I'm enjoying this. I'm watching the series slowly over cups of tea, taking in the subtleties and the scenery. I'm a super fan of black flag angsty BL, so this makes me appreciate the sweetness between Xu Changyang and Feng Qinglang even more.
Shi Yuhao: is he a psychopath? Why does he keeping showing up? He's like a chronic illness.
Agreed. I didn’t like the way he was touching Lee Chaeha. It made me sick to my stomach and worried about how he abused Lee Chaeha when he was “raising” him. Hopefully Prosector Ju will handle him. In the meantime, I want to put him under the jail.
Hey BL lovers. So many of you are trying to personally insult me to make yourselves look good. So stop it. I am…
Sometimes the content on offer really isn’t what you want to see and taking a break from it and the community would be good for your wellbeing. I’ve had to do this many times for various interests and it was rejuvenating. Please take care of your health.
🌶️ I need to lie down after Episode 4. Prosecutor Joo, you absolute animal. 😉
I rushed straight here to check if I hallucinated that scene. It was raw, powerful, and not awkward or noncon. I could really feel their conflicted and intense emotions. They were very believable.
Prosecutor Joo Taeseon's scornful look is unmatched. Cold eyes, subtle frown lines, and a gaze that strips your soul bare. He's now the definitive model for every 'facial paralysis' cold beauty for me. 😆 Shout-out to Kim Yoonsik for pulling it off perfectly.
China just casually ripping everyone else to shreds 😁 man, what a time to be alive
I'm pinching myself because I can't believe this is real. The shelving of Chinese Bromances adapted from popular IP back in 2021 left me with emotional damage. I used to be wary of Chinese BLs getting pulled from airing, but the co-productions with other countries have put my mind at ease.
Not a fan of “intimate” porno heavy series but man the acting is amazing! The internal conflict and confusion…
Glad you mentioned the quality of the acting. I am always a bit hesitant to jump into any series if someone describes the acting as awkward, stiff, or quite subpar.
I'm convinced Zhan Wang's tumor has a powerful aphrodisiac effect. How else could he go from lying unconscious at death's door to pouncing on Xu Yuan and tattooing him, and then being pounced on by Xu Yuan?! Amazing! All that said, I'm glad they could savor their romance during such terrifying times.
Eleven episodes in and I still think the second CP is unnecessary.

Chef's kiss.
Also, how is this rated TV-PG on iQYI? 😂
