Finally WOH/SHL 2 days concert has their own page in douban and the rating is 9.5https://movie.douban.com/subject/35430794/Wow!!I…
Wow and it's been rated by almost 60K people! It is a truly deserved rating, for me it's a perfect concert. Beautiful stage, great MCs, great performance, fun games. But most important thing is that everyone on stage are happy and relaxed. You can tell that the whole cast was really having fun and like they said, it was a "team building event" lol. The "hug of the century" at the end is the cherry on top and the whole concert was such a perfect ending to the show.
How is the rating calculated in MDL? If it's douban, it's based on the users.
Can anyone inform how to rate in Douban? I have an account there, but I read somewhere that you need to make comment first before your rating will be included or something?
Sometimes, I don't blame mdl for fine tuning their rating system to favor non bl content.. I mean can you imagine?…
It is known that MDL is not supportive of BL/LGBT contents on their site. They even don't allow publication of article which contains same-sex description, so it kinda tells what kind of attitude they have towards LGBT. It's sad, especially when BL shows have huge number of watchers and one of the most popular genre here.
I am not excited any of the roles discussed in the article to be honest. I don't think they are going to elevate…
"Flaming Heart goes down in flames" LOL. Yeah, I'm not really excited for Flaming Heart and Dream Garden either, from the story description it sounds meh. I'm more interested in Retro Detective though, the story sounds interesting and funny, let's see how it turns out :)
Gong Jun's profile picture has changed! To the kind soul who changed it, thank you!! It's now the same pic as his studio's profile picture which is a lot better. Now I wonder if we can change ZZH's pic to the one on his studio's? He looks really cute and soft in it :D
Thanks for the translation of this interesting article! I probably have similar thoughts, that two of them seem…
I honestly don't see anything wrong or judgmental in your initial post or comments. Actors take different path of careers and nothing is wrong with that. So I still hope you can share any interesting articles in the future if you don't mind :)

Agree, GJ still needs to build up his drama portfolio, at least compared to ZZH. For ZZH, even if he is not filming, he can still be a singer or golfer lol. From all his interview and live-stream, he seems to be pressured with his current fame as he now loses his freedom which he values a lot. As for GJ, as long as he makes money he will be forever happy hahaha XD

I never said that GJ is after short-term traffic. I just said that his two upcoming projects look like typical idol drama and I also know that those were chosen before WOH, so he probably didn't have much options back then. So the next script that he will choose after WOH is critical, since people will pay more attention to his choice and his acting. And for long-term career, choosing quality project and script is important. I love both of them and I'm sure whatever choice they make is the best for them.
Thanks for the translation of this interesting article! I probably have similar thoughts, that two of them seem to have different career paths that they choose. GJ still has a bit of idol type and his upcoming works (Flaming Heart and Dream Garden) look like a typical idol drama that aim at generating traffics. I certainly hope that those two projects are decent enough not to be quickly forgotten like most of idol dramas. He still needs to build up his work resume by taking more quality projects. In C-drama land, sadly being A-list actor doesn't necessarily equate to outstanding talents/skills, so he still has a lot to prove. While ZZH is quite clear of what kind of work he wants to do. He mentioned that he wants to shoot less but increase the quality and now that he has more options, he is able to do that. He is the type that values work-life balance and freedom, so he probably will take his time to choose his next project which he likes. From his two upcoming projects, it seems that he wants to try something unusual which is different from his previous roles. As for comparison, I personally hope they can follow their predecessors, Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu from Guardian. They've been doing extremely well after their stardom, ZYL has been taking more serious roles (Lost Tombs, Infinite Depth and Funeral Family) and BY has just won critical acclaim for his brilliant role in The Long Night. At the end of the day, the ones that will be remembered are those with quality works instead of short-term traffics.
Netflix changed the subs from Zhou Xu and Wen Kexing to A’xu and Lao Wen. *tears* Do you have any idea how many…
Finally! I think they feel pressured by many fans demanding them to fix their subs, well done mountain people! This could be a good precedence for future dramas' subs.
Im on ep4 and am actually cringing at the flirting lol the storyline is not capturing me like The Untamed did...just…
The open flirting is only in the earlier episodes, I'd suggest you stick a little bit longer until around after episode 6 or 7. As the user KimchiByTheSea mentioned, I also feel that the strength of this show is on the character and relationships development as compared to a more plot-heavy show like TU, which I was struggling to finish. Each to their own, of course, do try to stick a bit longer but if it still doesn't interest you then maybe it's just not your cup of tea.
Hello hello to new shanren after watching SHL on netflix. If you are craving SHL contents after 36 episodes binge…
We will need a WOH information vault soon or later :) there are endless contents on all kinds of social media I'm having headache collecting and organizing them...
That's interesting, but honestly I can't imagine ZZH as Xie Lian lol. Sure he's become pretty laopo now, but he…
I know right?? Esp in ep 6 after he changed from "beggar" to "beauty" in that rabbit-washing scene, I swear even some of the most beautiful female actresses can't compare to his beauty >_<
