I was hooked from eps 1, but I know many people get hooked on ep 12. It was also when the rating in Douban shot…
I also have no idea why I wasn't that hooked to TU, I mean I did try hard but just ended up drifting off while watching it. Maybe because the level of acting is not even across the cast, XZ and WYB of course did great but I was cringing at the acting of some supporting cast. Especially Xue Yang, his acting is just too exaggerated and over the top imo.
Tbh no correlation between WOH and TU, you can watch them separately. Just a matter of preference. If you like…
For Guardian, the drama itself is really crappy I got a lot of second hand embarrassment watching it >_< but the amazing chemistry between the main leads is the saving grace to the point that I can just watch the scenes with two of them only and don't care about the rest XD
I need an advice: between this and The Untamed which one should I watch first?
I think most of us have watched TU before WOH since it already came out long ago. But yeah, it depends on your preference. If you prefer plot-heavy story then TU is better, but if you like story with focus on character and relationship development, then it's WOH. Personally, since I'm a fujoshi, I'm glad to watch WOH after TU since the portrayal of the BL in WOH is a quantum leap compared to its predecessors and I couldn't be happier.

Yeah, I understand that. But this drama purposedly sell the characters being soldier and doctor as their selling point. Even the Chinese title is translated as "Fall in love with Special Force". So I think they should at least get the basic things right and make them consistent, which is apparently non-existent in this drama :( I hope drama makers will stop making shows that treat their audience as fools.
Straight 10 out of 10 from me. Rurouni Kenshin movies never fail us. Stunning cinematography, great acting, intense emotions. Mackenyu has done an amazing job as Enishi. The highlight is of course all the fighting scenes, especially the final battle. RK has the most amazing martial arts choreography I've ever seen, hands down. They are fast and brutal, yet sleek and smooth at the same time. It is really a lot of hard work to pull them off, you can see from the actors' training videos. Can't wait for The Beginning, even though it's gonna be a tear-jerker one. One complaint though, why Netflix translated "nee-san" as "Tomoe"? Why not just translate it as "sister"? It just sounds really weird to call your big sis with her name.
Xia Chu has absolutely zero self defence skills...Besides wearing the army uniform there is nothing more to see.…
The profession as soldier and military doctor is just gimmick to attract viewers, that's all I can say. Their actions and behaviors don't fit at all with their professions. C-drama is notorious for using profession-based themes but fail to portray the reality of the profession.
Bringing inconsistency of the beauty of shoulder blade in SHL. As we all know word "beautiful shoulder blade"…
Ep 32 is the most messy in terms of editing and plot, and that particular scene left me dumbfounded. That meat hook made me cringe with pain just by the sight of it, but how come ZZS looks pretty much chill being hooked like that? I don't think it's the acting problem, some people said that it's because ZZS has gradually lost his sense therefore he doesn't feel much pain which makes sense. And then the whole rescue scene, after being hooked like that you expect ZZS to be half-dead already, but he is pretty much alive and kicking and still can give his blessing to WKX. So yeah, most likely that shoulder blade piercing was added afterwards.
I'm complaining though, at least we got our "hero saving beauty" scene ππ
I thought ZZH is already a verified artist in Spotify? I don't know much about the verified status in Spotify…
He has 2 other OST from his other previous drama under his name in Spotify, besides TYK. Yes, that insta account with weird name (gongjunhahaha) is legit his π€ͺ
I thought ZZH is already a verified artist in Spotify? I don't know much about the verified status in Spotify…
I think that makes sense. Their Insta accounts mostly now used for personal stuffs, so maybe they want to separate it from their business stuffs which is a good thing imo. And the thing with Insta since you need VPN to access it from China, it will attract less attention and less toxicity.
Not JunJun getting verified on Spotify before Zhehan adkldksfhlkdhfj! I mean I know why ZZH isnβt verified but…
I thought ZZH is already a verified artist in Spotify? I don't know much about the verified status in Spotify but GJ has never released any song, how come he got verified status there? Now what they need is verified tick in their Insta, their followers grow everyday but their account names sound like some shady bot accounts ππ
Oh god, I don't know if I can take this drama seriously. I know this is supposed to be a light romantic (comedy)…
Hospital in a foreign country looks more like a fancy holiday mansion (who will do an operation in a room full of colorful mosaic window??). Special force soldiers blow up a floor knowing that there are hostages down below and start shooting with automatic gun? Special force can't even differentiate between real human and a hologram? Special force chanting "Kill, kill kill", hello are you soldiers or a bunch of gangsters?
Not to mention all the weird actions by the FL and ML, a military doctor and a soldier bickering like kids publicly in the hospital lobby and ML ends up tying up FL with her coat to the pillar? And all those childish behaviors that don't suit their professions at all. If that's how military doctor and soldier behaves, I'm very concerned with the survival of their troops LOL.
FL is supposed to be this silly white sweet, but she acts cute just for the sake of being cute. In fact she comes across as naΓ―ve and rather dumb. ML is also supposed to be ice-cold soldier, but he really doesn't have this icy aura coming off him, he looks more like a bully to me. All that happen in this drama is just for the sake of creating more conflicts and opportunities for the leads to interact, which is totally fine but it has to follow some logic for them to be believable. We can only blame it on the scriptwriter and director.
I'm just having so much fun watching GJ in Advance Bravely. The boys are so easy on the eyes. LOL.
The boys sure are eye-candy but the cringy acting forced me to drop it after ep 2 ππ been hesitating to try watch it again, not after watching GJ's excellent performance in WOH. But maybe I'll watch it just for fun π

What is this??? New wuxia drama starring Wang laoshi and Fan Jiwei (Wu Xi's actor)? Where is Xie'er? π€£ and the title ε±±ζ²³ζ ζ (Shan He Wu Yang)??

Apologize for the long rant though xD
