Coming over after watching Zhao Zhao Yi in The Romance of Hua Rong.... When will this be subbed?! ?
Yeah, same. I already had this on my list but was waiting for subs. But maybe it is a good thing I cannot watch it yet, because it will be hard to beat the chemistry she had with the male lead from The Romance of Hua Rong. So I probably need some time to forget them and watch some other dramas before I watch this one..that is if it ever gets subbed.

Title The Romance of Hua Rong Spoiler
I was really waiting for the last episodes because this has been one of my favorite dramas to watch in a while…
Yeah, I know. And then the last episode was pretty much just catching the bad guys and getting it over with. I wanted to at least see them having a second wedding since she ran away the first time. Who knows, maybe they will give us a second season. But I would still have preferred an ending that was on the same level as the rest of the drama. This was one of my favorite dramas of last year so I was expecting a lot from those last episodes. :(

If they do make a second season, I want them spending at least some time in Hua Rong island and maybe add a baby...or a pet, they are both good options to give some more fluffiness to the drama. Lol

Although the ending felt a little rushed and underwhelming compared to the rest of the drama, this was still very entertaining. The leads have amazing chemistry and most characters are interesting to watch, especially his underlings/friends.
I would recommend this if you are looking for something easy to watch without too much drama, a good romance, lots of kisses and skinship in general and funny characters and situations.

If there was one thing that bothered me was the audio. I watched this on youtube and there were many issues with the audio, from it going lower to having no audio at all, to the music being so loud at moments that it is distracting. The last one is probably editing related but the other 2 were most likely caused by youtube’s automatic detection of copyrighted music, which by the way is a flawless system carried out by the youtube bots...said no one ever. Sigh
But it does not happen that many times that it stops you from enjoying the drama. And maybe you will find it somewhere else. If it is on mango’s youtube channel, then it is probably also on their app.

Well, if we are not being fooled, then that should have happened in episodes 23-24 (aka ep 12). And in a kind…
I literally just finished watching. Let’s hope he stays dead cause I could not look at his face any longer.

Title Woman of 9.9 Billion Spoiler
Ok but her one-man mafia husband is really making this a chore to watch, I hope he is eliminated from the story…
Well, if we are not being fooled, then that should have happened in episodes 23-24 (aka ep 12). And in a kind of ironic way when you think about how he treated his wife. But considering what the writers have been doing with his character, I will not be surprised if he somehow survives and shows up later.

I had not started this until now because I thought it would not be my kind of drama. But I have just finished binge-watching all the episodes that have aired so far. I have kind of mixed feelings tho. I like how the female lead is not one of the good guys but also not the villain. She is somewhere in the middle. She is not black nor white, she is grey. In fact, a lot of the characters are like that. And then the rest are just downright evil. I definitely would not make the same decisions she did but I can kind of understand what was going through her mind.

But I have some issues with her character and the plot. She seems to give off this mysterious and I am smarter than I look kind of vibe but then makes decisions that are pretty dumb or that do not make sense and seem to happen just to drag things. Also, the story started interesting but I feel as if it has been stuck at the money going around and around and more and more greedy people or people with their own interests showing up. It feels as if the writers are not sure of what they want to do next with the plot and that is shown through the way the female lead is going around in circles without actually doing anything.

With only 4 episodes left to wrap things up, I wonder what they will do next.

?? I am confused. Was that like a sentence from the previous summary? I have seen some pretty weird ones too.EDIT:…
I guess they used the summary from the app and then changed it cause it did not make much sense. XD

"Their bodies are occupied by each other's souls." What does that even mean o_o?? Oh well just gonna have to watch…
?? I am confused. Was that like a sentence from the previous summary? I have seen some pretty weird ones too.

EDIT: Oh, I see. It is the summary on the app. Lol It really sounds weird and makes it seem like there is a body swap. But here on MDL there are no hints of that, be it in the summary or the tags. I guess I will have to watch to find out.

Oh so thank you Hime!!!!! Twice in one day you saved me.
Yeah, of course the story, the acting, everything matters. But if I can’t understand or sympathize with how the main characters are or why they think a certain way and what is behind their actions, then I will most likely drop the drama. I cry, laugh, smile and get angry because I am able to put myself in the character’s shoes. I think about how I would have reacted in the same situation. By doing that not only am I able to enjoy the story a lot more (it feels like riding a roller coaster XD) but it also makes me better as a human being because it makes it easier for me to feel empathy in the real world when dealing with real people. ^ ^

Title Touch
The only thing I like is how the entertainment industry is being realistically portrayed. Other than that I am not sure if I will keep watching much longer. The story itself seems like it will be very average and might become extremely boring soon and the main leads don’t have much, if any, chemistry.

It is not the age gap tho, it is something else. Maybe the characters they are playing just don’t feel right together. He comes out as this arrogant immature person that easily holds grudges. And she seems like this persistent and talented young girl that is just fighting against the current. It feels like watching a cliché couple that you would expect from a drama that aired 10 years ago. There is also hints of a love square in the making and that is not only extremely cliché but also annoying. Really, so far this just seems like an average drama, which for someone like me is just not enough anymore. The truth is when you have been watching dramas for almost a decade and have watched hundreds and hundreds of dramas, your expectations are set very high.

So don’t take this comment to heart as everyone feels different about the same drama, be it because of personal taste, previous experiences or even just the mood. I have gone back to dramas I dropped and found myself loving them and wondering why I even dropped them. Most of the times it was because I just was not in the mood for that kind of drama.

Oh so thank you Hime!!!!! Twice in one day you saved me.
Had to look it up to know what you were talking about. XD
I personally do not watch BL or same gender romance so I had never come across the dramas you mentioned.
I don’t care much if it’s like a side couple on a drama I watch but as the main leads I am only able to watch hetero couples. And the reason is simple and not homophobic. (have to make that clear just in case lol)
And the reason is that when I watch a drama I like to imagine myself as one of the main leads so I can empathize with how they feel and why they make certain decisions. Being a woman I usually put myself in the female lead’s shoes. In a BL there is no female lead. And in a couple made of 2 women I would not be able to connect to neither of the main characters as I have never felt attracted to another woman.

Title To Get Her
It started out interesting but somewhere around the middle it started to feel a little draggy. It is still a good drama, just not as good as some other I have watched recently. For me it’s a 7, which means it has some re-watch value but is at the bottom of my priority list.

Lol You’re welcome! This one is an easy skip. Really not worth anyone’s time. The female lead is just way too immature. But the other one is not a complete waste of time. I just would not recommend it for the romance and I think the title does not match the focus the character is given in the drama. But you can give it a try if you want. If anything it is worth watching for the great job the actress did playing such different roles and the main character being so different from your typical female lead. She has no morals whatsoever. She does not even have standards. She goes for any man. Her character is really complex. You feel disgusted at her behavior but at the same time dont know if you should hate her or feel sorry for her.

After watching, I get the hate. It is not because of the angst. It is because of the way it was created. It is not a well written story that is full of angst. It is just a badly written story that relies on plot holes and character’s stupidity to create angst. They made the male lead the dumbest person for over half of the drama and then suddenly he is able to pick up on things, make plans and stuff. Seriously? What did he take to suddenly become so smart? Or could it be he also has an identical twin, one that actually has a working brain, and he is the one we see in the last episodes??

There were also several plot holes that I will not mention as this comment would become a huge spoiler. The ending was meh to say the least.

I had this set as not interested for quite some time but decided to give it a try as it has happened before that I watched a drama that I was originally not going to watch and it was surprisingly good. This was NOT one of those cases. It is as bad as everyone is saying. Not the worst lakorn I have watched but definitely VERY FAR from being good.

So I’m guessing that no one is gonna be subbing this?
There was someone subbing it but because of some really rude people who felt entitled to things, the subber ended up dropping it. I dont know if there will ever be someone else subbing this. The few episodes I watched did not meet my expectations tho. The trailer and synopsis made it look a lot more interesting than it actually is.

Why? I have only seen a few of her dramas and I dont consider her either a good actress nor a bad actress. I am…
Listening Snow Tower is in in my "not interested" list. The trailer and comments did not convince me to watch it.
What is Tales of a Fashion Buyer about? There is not much info here on MDL so I have no idea if it would be the kind of drama I would like.

Yeah The Legends was really good. The female lead was super interesting and the male lead was just my cup of tea, and I am not only talking about his looks. I really liked how loyal he was even after he thought she had died or when she was trying everything to hurt him. And Love By Hypnotic was one of my favorite romantic chinese dramas of the year 2019. I like strong women in dramas. I don’t know if you will like it, but maybe try watching The Romance of Hua Rong. I have not finished it yet but the female lead is the not the type to sit and cry, is good at fighting and is pretty smart. Most of the times the male lead is one step ahead of her but she manages to fool him and other people a lot of times. And together they make a pretty good team.

Is it that obvious? If so I get it, it just seems strange.
The age difference is so obvious that the entire time I was watching the first episode I still could not believe she was the female lead and thought that the real female lead would appear soon. I thought there is no way she is the female lead, she must be someone’s mother or an elder that will play a big role in the story. But nope, looking at the cast confirmed it, she is in fact the female lead. And it seems they tried so hard to make her look younger than her age that she looks weird. I really could not keep watching. But hey, give it a try and then decide. If like me you cant get past episode 1 then you would not have wasted that much time watching.

Title The Island Spoiler
I agree with what most people said about this drama. But dont make the same mistake I made. I put off watching…
So, yeah the plot itself was far from good or different. It was full of clichés and unrealistic situations. I will mention some:

- Every episode, in some episodes several times, someone (most likely one or both of the main leads) would be attacked, kidnapped, bombed, almost raped, be sent to the hospital, misunderstand something or someone, and so on.

- There were several boats being bombed, with several people involved, yet only 3 of them actually died. Everyone else managed to survive somehow. What are the odds?

- There were 2 incidents of someone being set on fire, directly on fire, gasoline all over them, the lighter was thrown directly at them, there was no one near to help put out the fire in a matter of just a few seconds, yet in both of those incidents the victims survived. Again, what are the odds?

- The villains are not that smart and its not like the main leads are stupid, yet they take a long time, a REALLY long time to know who they are. One of them I could understand why they would not suspect, but the other would be the first person I would look into right after the first attack happened when they started investigating. It was the most obvious person, the one with access to things, the one who shared just enough information with the main leads and in return always knew what they were up to next and where they would be. Why didnt the main leads ever question how the villains knew right away when they were close to finding something, or how they knew where they would be next? How come the important evidences were always in that person’s hands and somehow never reached the main leads when she was willingly "helping" them? It made no sense and happened only for the sake of dragging the plot.

- If you thought the female leads’ mother was nuts, meet the male lead’s mother. Jealousy can really destroy someone from the inside and turn them into someone crazy.

-There is more but I dont want to make this comment even longer.

What I LIKED, aside from the things I already mentioned:
-There was no crazy second female lead that loves the male lead and/or his money and will do anything to separate him from the female lead. There were 3 women that could possibly have been just that, but they werent.

- The one that could be considered the second female lead and that the male lead’s mother tried to pair with her son. But she not only did not fall in love with him and saw him only as a friend, but she also helped him and the female lead to have secret meetings and ended up becoming good friends with her.

- The one that at first looked like the typical dumb and sluty supporting character that wants to throw herself at the main lead. She was actually much more than that. She never liked the male lead and although she almost came between the main leads BIG TIME because of her aunt’s order, at the key moment she backed out and was the hero of the day. She also had many chances of turning evil considering several things about her background, what she went through and who she fell in love with, yet she remained as one of the good guys.

-The one that came out of nowhere and stayed for a short time, had the looks and behavior of your typical supporting female lead that really wants to get into the male lead’s pants but was just a good friend that helped in a dumb plan (worthy of this weak plot) to make the female lead be honest with her feelings. She left as she came, in the same episode, and was also one of the good guys.

-There were also 2 female employees that I never saw as potentially interested in the male lead, but that I knew could possibly betray the female lead’s trust because this is a lakorn and that is a common thing, but I realized after some time that would not happen so yay, another cliché avoided.

Now you decide. If you can deal with the typical lakorn plot and also like the things I mentioned that were positive things in this drama, then give it a try and dont judge it solely on the comments. Watch a few episodes and then decide. Btw, dont be too put off about the misunderstandings between the main leads as those are fully and finally solved a little bit after halfway through and after that the main leads always trust each other, aside from 1 or 2 incidents that are easily solved. And even before that, the male lead was nowhere as cruel with the female lead as some male leads we have seen out there. That is due to him being kind as a person so he is unable to deeply hurt other people, specially the woman he loves.
