I rarely drops dramas . And I might have been tough on this since they disappointed me .You could see other reviews…
Yeah, I know what you mean. I watched anime a lot in my teenage years but passed that phase around when I was 19. And have been watching dramas for almost 10 years now. It was basically anime, then manga, then dramas. I am Portuguese so I have also watched some Spanish movies since the languages are similar and I studied Spanish in school too. English is my second language and I grew up watching English tv series like CSI and stuff. Lol

I love your bluntness. In real life you would either be my best friend or someone I could not stand at all. Lol Yeah, to be fair I have also been harder on certain dramas in the past just because I was not in the mood for that kind of drama at the time. I have also gone back to dramas I have dropped and found that I actually liked them. And over the years, the more dramas I watch, the harder I am on dramas if they dont do anything different.
Looking at your username, let me guess, did you also get into dramas after being into animes for a long time?
The drama is not bad, although I agree it suffered from some inconsistencies. Maybe it just wasnt the drama for you. This is more about how people who have went through a lot can find comfort in each other and how food can "heal". This is not the kind of drama for emotional fools but for people who have enough maturity and experienced life enough to relate to the characters and the lessons shown. I am sure if I had watched this 10 years ago I would have probably dropped it too. But now being 25, almost 26 and having experienced or seen other people experience quite a lot, I can understand how the characters feel and why they make certain decisions. The drama is slow paced because otherwise all the dramatic events would feel forced. The drama tries to leave the viewers in a similar mood to how the characters feel so we can understand them better. So if it had a lot of comedy or happy characters it would not be the same.
I can also say that you dropped the drama exactly before things started to develop, especially between the main leads, so no wonder you were not able to capture the essence of the drama.
I myself think people are overrating it and exaggerating when they call it a masterpiece. I rated it 8 which is less than the average rating of the drama. But saying this drama is just for passing time or for emotional fools, especially when you only watched half of it, feels unfair. This is also the reason I never write reviews for dramas I did not complete. If I really have to share my opinion on it, I will write a lengthy comment like this one instead. I don’t want to influence people to watch or not watch something I myself did not complete.
I am just sharing my opinion. It’s not like I am blaming you. You are also entitled to your own opinion and MDL now allows people to write reviews even if they did not finish the drama. When I joined one of the rules for writing a review was to have watched all episodes and that might have influenced me to write comments more often than I write reviews.
This is not the kind of drama you would want to watch if you’re looking for something light or a sweet romance.
This is about 2 people who both suffered a lot of tragic events and heartbreak during their lives and how they find comfort in each other. But this is more than about them. You will see several stories throughout the drama and if you’re like me, you will lose count of how many times you cry while watching it.
The name of the drama might seem like it had nothing to do with the story but later on you will see that it does. One of the main things you see throughout the drama is how food is not only for filling our stomachs. Food can heal. I studied cooking and it is one of my main hobbies so I know this is true. You can eat something and be reminded of your childhood or of a sad/happy event in your past or you can cheer up while having a meal after a bad day, warm food feels nice during a cold winter, and cold food is refreshing during the summer. Chocolate is also a kind of food that can be eaten for all sorts of reasons. Some people eat it just because its delicious, some people eat it when they are in a good mood, some when they are depressed. In this drama, chocolate is just that to our leads. And I will stop there as to not spoil it.
I think the ending could have been better. It felt a little rushed or maybe I was expecting to see more because of some hints that were given to us, but nothing happened after that. But overall it was still a good drama, one that I could relate to in some way, one that made me tear up and smile many times.
i dont see whats wrong with a different story. people who want to watch the same story can just watch the original.…
Yeah, I really hope the story is different cause I have a hard time watching remakes. What is the point of watching the same story but with a different cast? You already know what is going to happen and since the cast is different, the overall experience is worse. This is why a lot of people say remakes are worse than the original. That is not necessarily true, you just watch it expecting to feel the same way you felt about the original but this time you already know the plot and you cannot help but see each character and think of the actor or actress who played it previously. Plus, the original story is very dramatic and I would rather have the couple like each other first than being together because of a one night stand that resulted in an unwanted pregnancy. I liked the original, but it was more of a makjang, I wish this one is less dramatic and more romantic.
Can I just say both male and female leads have no chemistry. No sexual tension.
For me it is early to tell. As far as I have watched they have no interest in each other at all, so it is hard to see any chemistry. I will have to watch some more episodes but I would not be surprised if they do have no chemistry.
It started out interesting and I liked how the female lead did not let anyone step on her. But slowly it became less interesting in the romance department. It was slow paced and Lexy’s character was an obstacle for longer than I wanted, but I understand it was for the plot’s sake. The ending was also underwhelming.
But I would still recommend it for the comedy. I have seen quite a lot of thai dramas and this one is one of the best when it comes to comedy.
yes its true, there's no kissing scene clause in her contract. but i think she will do a kiss scene in this lakorn,…
That explains a lot cause there were a few kiss scenes. They were like just lips touching but from what I have seen she does not do even that with other actors. I understand why people would be bothered and I myself like kiss scenes and skinship in romances, but at the same time I respect her decision. No matter if its acting, the truth is that feelings may arise while acting, reason why so many actors and actresses date after doing a drama together and why fans ship them together. When they have feelings for each other that shows on the screen as amazing chemistry, but if they are already in a relationship or even married to someone else, it would be hard not to feel uncomfortable seeing your partner kiss, hug and so on with someone else. She can always star in dramas that have no romance so she would not have to kiss anyone.
I'm glad you're giving it a chance!! :) I suggest you be patient. The 2 first episodes are confusing to most viewers,…
When I meant the leads I was not talking about the actors but the characters. Sometimes people give high ratings to dramas not necessarily because the story was good, but because they liked the characters. But I decided to give it a try and judge it for myself. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

I can tell youre very passionate about this drama, so I think it deserves a try. I love bromance, but draw the line at BL. I just love seeing people have those kind of friendships that last for a lifetime. I will give it a try, I think it deserves at least that, even if just for the trouble you went to replying to my question so passionately. XD Thank you. I will come back here later to let you know what I think.
I knew this would drag as it is 57 episodes long but I never expected it to drag THAT MUCH. I though this would be a nice mix of family and romance genres but it ended up being more like family, melodrama, business, and other things and the romance was really, really slow paced, which would be expected since she just got out of a long time relationship/marriage, but it was almost non-existent.
I also had some issues with the female lead. She was too childish for my taste, and that was even harder to watch since the actress playing her looks a lot older than the character she was playing. It reminded me of my father who is a middle aged man but acts like he is a kid, and not in the fun happy kind of way, but in the selfish irresponsible kind of way.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed and I did not even have high expectations. Maybe watch for the family part of the drama. Everything else is meh.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mostly prefer romance, historical, comedy but also like crime, thriller, investigation kind of dramas. So if the second has no romance but the story is well written, then I would rather watch it instead of another romantic drama.
I honestly have no idea if this even has BL or if its just people shipping them. The comment section for this drama is a mess so I am not sure if this is a really good drama or a drama that is overrated solely because of the main leads. If you have already watched it, can you spoil me? Is this drama really good or is it overrated?
There are several versions. The one on youtube and dramacool has audio issues exactly how you describe: music…
Yeah, dramacool probably took the subs from youtube since they do that often and used the same raws too. The no sound thing is most likely caused by youtube because I have seen it happen in other kinds of videos. It usually happens a few seconds before a music starts until a few seconds later, because of copyright.
Can you spoil me as to who did what? But overall I agree with you. If you behave like one of the bad guys, can…
Yeah, I agree. Torture is basically ignoring the fact that person is also a human being. And it is still common in many countries. And even in developed countries it happen, but most people are not aware of it. Similar to human trafficking. It is a lot more common than most people would like to admit. In some places there are several people going missing in the same week. It is scary to think that humans are able to do such cruel things.
The only pairing I actually liked took almost the entire drama to actually have any development and there weren’t enough scenes of them together. The other couple I kinda of liked, but not as much, also happened, but again, only at the ending. The other 2 I could not care less.
The female lead which was portrayed as the main between the mains, since she was the one who did the narration in the first and last episodes, was boring to watch and I did not like who she ended up with. They just dont match and her explanation at the end for me sounded like "if you get hurt that is ok, you will get used to it"..like what?? NO, if the person is hurting you even before you get into a relationship, do you think it will be better after you give him a chance? Sigh
The other girl was easy so she only encountered easy men. And that made her scenes the ones I FF the most. At first she was my least favorite main lead, but surprisingly she had some character development and I thought the ending given to her was the appropriate one. At least better than the one given to the other female lead I ignored.
Overall this was a fest of slutty and/or selfish people with a few characters that were ok. Really frustrating to watch. I would never re-watch it. I think having Ussana-Mr.X and Namnao-Mr.Y in this drama is a waste. I would definitely watch their stories as 2 different dramas. Especially the romance between Ussana and Mr. X. It had a lot of potential that was wasted here.
I have a huge issue with dramas with way too many characters. 4 female leads means I have to divide my attention into 4 different stories and I dont like doing that in the same drama. It makes me disconnect from the characters and story. But I will give it a try and see. I can always FF through the episodes, and worst case scenario - end up dropping it.
I thought that good guys didn't torture people. Is it supposed to be ok depending on who does it???
Can you spoil me as to who did what? But overall I agree with you. If you behave like one of the bad guys, can you still be considered a good guy? This why some people are referred to as grey characters. They are not bad per say but use some not so good methods to reach their objectives. There is a fine line between good and bad and it comes up not only to what you do but how you feel about it. Bad guys don’t feel guilty at all and might even get enjoyment from doing it. If the person feels guilty and tries to change his/her ways even if failing to do so, then you can’t really consider that person one of the bad guys.
I'm glad you're giving it a chance!! :) I suggest you be patient. The 2 first episodes are confusing to most viewers,…
Exactly. I am a woman and I don’t like BL. So it really doesnt have anything to do with being a woman or a man. If they give me 2 good looking men why would I fantasize about them liking each other? I would rather have them like me. Lol, just kidding, 1 is enough, I don’t need 2 ^^
I am Portuguese so I have also watched some Spanish movies since the languages are similar and I studied Spanish in school too. English is my second language and I grew up watching English tv series like CSI and stuff. Lol
