I like to think of this as the happy past life of Mo Yan ( Merxat)and Jiang Li (Dilireba) in Backlight of Love…
I did not understand your comment until I went through all the supporting characters of this drama. XD Btw, good job on subbing this one. I originally wrote in the notes that this would be fully subbed somewhere in the beginning of 2020, but you have been a lot faster than I expected. Only 3 more episodes to go. ^^
I personally though this was very average. There was nothing that stood out to me. The princess-bodyguard plot has been done several times, so if the story does not have some exciting element, it just becomes boring. It is not a bad drama, it just did not meet my expectations. Hopefully the sequel, which is a completely different plot, is more interesting.
I JUST started n the second lead just oof. He is adorable. I ship them already. Definitely gonna be hard. N yea…
Yeah. Especially older lakorns. Recently, lakorns are straying away more and more from the annoying clichés. I have watched quite a few that were a nice surprise and most of them aired in the past 2 or 3 years. But of couse there are some older lakorns that I liked.
I never loved it, but I liked it. Unfortunately, as I was closer to the end I was like, wait that’s it? No big conflicts whatsoever and then they cram everything in the last episodes? It honestly felt like I was watching one of those shows that are suddenly cancelled so they have to wrap up things asap. I don’t know, the pace felt off near the end. So yeah, for me it was just an average korean historical drama. Not the worst I have watched, but far from being the best.
Anyone able to find the last few with subtitles yet???
No and I doubt it will ever be fully subbed, unless someone else other than the original subber decides to sub the last 7 episodes. My guess is the person who was subbing watched the ending, got frustrated and thought it would be a waste of her/his time to sub the rest of the episodes.
I really liked it, just wish we saw more of the main leads together as a "true" couple. The plot was nothing creative or anything but it was a little different from most thai dramas. Not too many conflicts, the misunderstandings were solved pretty quickly, not too much drama or hate. The advertisements were too much tho, especially the one about bras...it could be funny sometimes but it was a little distracting from the story.
The first 2 episodes were quite disappointing, not at all what I was expecting. The pace and vibe of the drama was really weird. The 3rd episode was better and the 4th episode too, although not as good as the 3rd. The preview made it seem like there might be some progression in the next episodes, cause so far not much happened. I just don’t want to give up on the first drama with Chang Wook after so long. But that won’t stop me from giving this a low rating if the drama does not get any better than this.
I really hope there is a second season. The whole pace of the drama and especially the way it ended made it seem like what we saw was only part of the story.
I don’t know. The idea was good, but I think what failed was the execution. Quite a few things were not properly explained or addressed, we were not shown enough of the main leads as a couple (in fact, we only saw them as a couple 9 years later just before the wedding and there was not much shown) and overall the drama felt very average. It could have definitely been better. I am not saying it is bad. It just isn’t good enough that I would want to watch it again.
I liked the slow paced romance, which usually I hate, but here it made sense. And I liked it was realistic. What I did not like was how supporting characters got as much screen time as the main leads. And personally I did not even found the side stories interesting so I found myself skipping huge chunks in certain episodes. This is a problem I have with a lot of chinese dramas. They want to drag the story as long as possible, and instead of using the main characters for that, they focus so much on the stories of the supporting characters, even if they are boring, to the point they almost become main characters themselves. I don’t like too many main characters in the same drama because it is distracting, I only want to invest my energy on one, maybe 2, max 3 main stories/romances.
Also, the last 10 episodes or so became quite boring for me and the ending was not satisfying either. I don’t regret watching this, but I would not invest over 24 hours of time to re-watch it.
Reading the synopsis, it says that have a son, are happily married so why bring up an ex girlfriend? Are we gonna…
It’s the other way around tho. An ex-classmate (not ex-girlfriend or boyfriend) of the male lead shows up and tries to steal the female lead. But yeah, for them to be able to drag the story, there will be misunderstandings most likely. I will still watch it just for their kid cause I love seeing children on screen.
As usual, the first half was much more interesting than the second, but...
at least we got a happy ending, which is not only remarkable because this is a chinese drama, but because this is a chinese drama with alien-human romance which means that the chances of them not being together at the end are huge. They ended up together and the writers somehow gave us a logical reason for it being possible, so I am satisfied with the ending.
so this drama which was on dramanice was this one? do you think it'll still worth to watch? will wait for your…
The drama ondramanice is My Amazing Bride. It has 10 episodes subbed so far. But I did not really understand your question. I personally will wait until it is all subbed before I start watching it as this has been dropped before. I will comment here when all the episodes are subbed.
I can’t say more because the person did not start the subs yet, but is is on the future projects of someone…
Yeah, I was surprised too. But since I have seen dramas being dropped halfway I will wait until it is all subbed. I have been waiting over 2 years, so waiting a few more weeks/months won’t hurt. Better safe than sorry.
Agreed. Shinji's change was a little more believable, but he was still a little bit of a bully to Nagi. Gon-san,…
Yeah, thats why I said the only thing I liked was the way it ended since she did not end up with either of them. They should have focused more on her and less on those 2. But oh well.

Yeah. Conclusion: in real life neither of them would be a good pick for a boyfriend, much less a husband. Only dramaland to try and redeem such people in such a short time. Same thing with the perfect male lead. We love seeing them on screen but we know that is not how men are in real life. XD
