WHAT THE RATINGS... people who want a lovely runner or queen of tears romnce should watch those series again.…
I think the lack of focus on romance was one of the issues but it was also a very niche drama. I found it funny and relatable many times because I go to the gym.
But for people that never went to the gym and have no interest in working out, some of the jokes and the focus on everything muscle related might have gone over their heads.
i shouldn't laugh but the reveal on why he broke up with her is so funny to me sorry ðŸ˜
Funny and ridiculous at the same time. At first I though he was gay and hiding it but a few episodes in it became obvious that was not the case, then I just believed he cared too much about looks, then when he said he regretted it I thought maybe he had some problem down there (which was not so far of).
When the big reveal came I was like, are you serious, just shave the rest of the hair, you would make a handsome bald man. ^^'
As someone who started going to the gym regularly about a year ago, this drama was relatable and very funny at times.
With that said, if this drama had come out before that, I would probably find it extremely boring. If you are into working out and taking care of your body, you might enjoy it but I believe for most people this will be an average kdrama at best. I’ve noticed lately a lot of kdramas are focusing on very niche plots - farming, gym, IT, and so on. Seems like writers are running out of ideas. ^^'
I found myself skipping a few of the political scenes, mostly near the end, but overall this had a nice balance between romance and political stuff. There was also some comedy thrown here and there.
And finally, I liked the way they wrapped up the drama. More often than not the ending leaves me disappointed in some way, either because they kill too many characters, leave loose ends or the ending is open, just to name a few of the issues I have encountered. But this one had a satisfying ending. ^^
Am just curious here. Am seeing comments about the dubbing being bad. My question is, is the dubbing really bad…
I just started watching but it seems a bit of both. Like it’s weird that the voice does not match the face but also the dubbing and sound effects are not that great. Not the worst I have seen, but it is a bit disappointing to see this kind of production flaw in a Bai Lu drama.
Why dub the voices of well known actors, isn’t that like shooting your own foot? And the dubbing and sound effects are not even great to make up for it.
I am giving it a chance because of Bai Lu and hopefully the plot will be interesting enough to keep me watching until the end.
Okay don't play with me now who did the ML end up with?
I watched this a while ago and while you are right and that would be the most likely and less anoying way to wrap up the drama, I remember he had a ring or something that was the same as the ML and he said it was from his ancestors so that means either the ML went on to marry and have kids or he passed it down to a nephew or someone in the family and that is how it ended up in the current day ML’s hand.
Guess it’s up to the viewers to imagine what happened in between.
I do not watch BL and did not read the novel but could tell this was definitely supposed to be about the 2 male leads. The FL takes such a back seat, even the poster has only the 2 of them, the first 7 episodes are all about their interactions while he is posing as his sister.
This ends up being disappointing for both BL fans and people like me who watch straight romance, why? For BL fans, there is no BL and for straight romance fans like me the plot and romance was boring and I just wasn’t feeling any chemistry between the leads. The editing, mainly the audio, is also so bad it gives you headaches.
Honestly, the actors deserved better than this and so did we.
The idea seems interesting and different but the execution was not that great. It is watchable since the plot is not something you see very often but I would not call it a good drama by any means. The ending was predictable and made the FL look worse than she already did for most of the drama.
Ahh so it's not sexual infidelity but emotional and psychological infidelity ...interesting. I assume he's one…
Idk how much you have watched but there is also sexual infidelity, he sleeps with at least 2 different women we know of, probably more in the past. And the infidelity is the least of the FL’s problems.
The FL is supposed to be from the past but they did not even bother to give her longer hair to match the hair length women would have back then.
But what made me drop it was when the actress opened her mouth, the acting was so bad that I just could not keep going, I knew I would eventually drop it so I might as well drop it now.
The plot was boring and the ending was ridiculous. Not my cup of tea. Koreans make great dramas but there have been only a few Korean movies I thought were worth watching.
This is so good and he is a great kisser. When Koreans copy cdramas- High ratings when Chinese do the same-how…
"If I had never watched Marry My Husband I might have found this entertaining"...this is the point of my comment. My comment is not meant to put down this drama, I have been watching more Chinese dramas than Korean dramas in the past few years and both countries have their strengths. My problem is not with a Chinese drama copying a Korean drama but with a drama copying another and there being no warning anywhere that this was a remake or at least heavily based on another drama.
I rarely watch remakes because I have a good memory and cannot help but compare the one I watch second to the one I watched first. When I watch short dramas I am expecting something entertaining and new, something to watch when I do not have time to watch a regular length episode. I was very disappointed when I started watching this and realised it was a plot I already knew. I tried watching a few episodes hoping there would be enough new elements added for this to feel like a different story, but no, there was nothing new, just a different cast and the acting was not even as good as the original.
